Terrible experience at the Granite Run in Media store - in the framing department

I would never ever recommend the Michael's store at Granite Run in Media for framing. I took a print there last evening to have framed (with no cost limit) and when I asked the young girl, who obviously was the manager, if she could help - she looked at her watch, gave a disgruntled sigh (loud enough that me and another customer heard her) and then had he audacity to roll her eyes. I abruptly turned around and loudly said 'never mind, obviously I am bothering you'. Why do these disgruntled people work if they don't want to be there? I was very willing to spend over $300 to get my print framed because I wanted a heavy frame with non-glare glass but guess what - that store lost out because of her!! I will never step foot in that store again. If I could have given them less than 1 star, I would have!!!

Store #2005 Ms. Lena

I recently went to store#2005 and had the ABSOLUTE PLEASURE to be waited on by a woman named Lena. I am not a crafty kind of person but my daughter is. Ms. Lena was so helpful and patient with me. She even got me laughing a bit to calm me and assure me that the purchases I was making would be a home run! Ms. Lena is an absolute PRO! After being avoided by the one heavy set male worker, I was ready to walk out. Ms. Lena made a return customer out of me! Thank you Lena! It was a pleasure doing business with you and I'll be hunting you down for ideas for Christmas! Your store is very lucky to have you.

Aldera

So I just got my sewing machine not too long ago and decided to set it up. I wasn't familiar with "Singer" machine, but I tried to the thread the bobbin and I couldn't seem to figure it out. I called Michaels and got to talk to the best employee, Aldera. She helped me and walked me through of what I needed to do. She showed me step by step instruction pictures and tips that really helped. I got to thread the bobbin and now I can use my sewing machine. Super happy!

I ordered a Christmas tree and had it sent same day delivery. It arrived in about three hours perfectly boxed. The tree was absolutely gorgeous and half price. Have been a customer of Michaels for years. They never disappoint!

Terrible, Just Terrible!

Terrible, Just Terrible! I found an old Michaels gift card and I wanted to find out the balance. Their website would not allow me to check, as it would loop me back to purchasing a gift card. Then I called customer care and the representative wanted personal information. When I asked why, she responded that it is for documentation?!?! After disclosing my full name, phone number and email, I was put on hold. I eventually found out the balance but there were too many hoops to jump. Finding out the balance on a gift card should be a simple process, not convoluted with nonsense!

Went to the Barrie On store looking for…

Went to the Barrie On store looking for cross stitch kits. Upon entering the store I was greeted. Since I like to wander around, I started walking. I was able to pick up a couple of presents. Staff members were helpful and gave clear directions as to where to find what I wanted. Unfortunately, there weren't any kits. They suggested I try the children's section but no luck there either. Even though the product I wanted wasn't there, the staff were great, the store was in good order and I left knowing I would be back.

Slow, over priced and rude

Horrible retailer. Get your decorations and art supplies from another retailer. They are slow, over priced and rude. One example: I order Halloween decorations on October 1st. They emailed me to say almost my entire order was out of stock after Halloween. Five and a half weeks later, I still haven’t received thr last few things from my order that actually went through. I’ve been on the phone with costumer service four times and all they offered me was a $10 gift card. I will be gifting that and never shopping there again.

Novi Store Is Always A Bad Experience!

Every time I go into the Novi, MI store the staff are extremely rude. I feel like if I ask for help or direction to a product they are interrupted and mad. I have gone a few times and they also have none of the products I need, even though they used too. I honestly will not go back and I headed to Joann Fabrics across the way and they were so friendly and helpful. Makes a world of a difference.

BEWARE OF IN-STORE PICKUP

BEWARE OF IN-STORE PICKUP I was happy to use the in-store pickup feature at my local Michaels store in the Blue Star shopping Center. Much to my dismay when I went through my bags of approximately a dozen skeins of yarn I found that I had several different dye lots of 4 different types of yarn. I then contacted the store and spoke with Angie. She was very helpful on looking to see if she still had the dye lots I needed. I asked her if the staff was knowledgeable about the importance of completing a project with the same dye lot. She informed me that the staff knew nothing about that. When an order is filled they only choose the correct yarn and correct color and nothing about matching dye lots. I just wanted to let other knitters and crocheters to beware of checking their bag before they leave the store so y they won’t be stuck on the phone for 20 minutes correcting the problem and have to return to the store to rectify what started as a quick pickup to a job that will take a couple of days to complete.

This store has a huge variety of art…

This store has a huge variety of art supplies and it has everything that I need. The store is well organized and whenever I ask the staff where certain products are, they are always able to tell me. Because of that, I can find whatever I need easily. I enjoy shopping at Michaels!

I went to my local Hadley MA

I went to my local Hadley MA. 01035. Michael's around 1pm and the young man who was working at register 1 was absolutely rude. Customer in front of me was an elderly woman who after paying had to ask if the associate could put her stuff in a bag for her and he rolled his eyes. Then it was my turn and he took forever to scan my member barcode. He seemed to have a bad attitude. I only had 6 items and he didn't bother to put them in a bag just set them in front of me. I had to grab my own bag.. I've never dealt with an employee like that before.
