Friendly In Pooler, Ga

On a recent trip I stopped in the Pooler location by the Tanger outlets. The employees were very friendly especially a lady named Candy. She did not treat me like just another customer but took the time to ask engaging questions. I really appreciate in this day and age good customer service.

PAIGE was amazing

PAIGE was amazing at checking us out she was gentle with my wood and butterflies ( I have came home from a craft store and my wood be cracked from them bumping it in the corner of counter ) she made sure we found what we needed and ask questions that made the check out go smooth

False advertising is lying to cusomers.

So after receiving 4-5 emails a day from Michaels after signing up with their news letter, I finally received an email worth looking into. It said that I had a coupon for 40% off one item. So I drove 20 minutes to my nearest Michaels chose an item that I wanted and went to the till to pay for it. I showed the person at the till the coupon for 40% off and they said that you had to click on the 40% coupon, and when I did that coupon was replaced with a different coupon for 30% off which I was allowed to use. How is this not false advertising, using a coupon for a certain amount as click bait to get people into your store and then saying yeah we didn't mean it? I asked for help with this and no one at the store was able to help. What is the sense of having employees if they cannot or do not have the ability to help the customers? Anyway my initial point was the fact that Michaels is in the practice of lying to their customers through false advertising. I would rather pay more at an independant store than at a store that does not have any integrity. That is why I have decided to never shop at Michaels again.

I had the best customer service…

I had the best customer service experience today while getting a painting framed at your Merritt Island FL location. I was framing a water color painting, making my choice of frame and mat especially important. Victoria (super friendly with a tasteful dinosaur tattoo on her right forearm) was very patient and helpful spending time with me going over multiple frame and mat combinations. I very much enjoyed my time spending money in your store. Please give Victoria K a fat bonus as she and her boyfriend want to find an apartment and move out of her parents’ basement. In all seriousness, she is an excellent employee. Congratulations on a fantastic hire.

Decline to answer is not an option here…..

I’m disappointed Michael’s. My daughter filled out an online application and your company forces applicants to submit their race and ethnicity. Most companies - if not all but yours - give the option to “decline to answer” or “prefer not to say.” Shaking my head at this one… hope your store values diversity.

Went to Michael's, left pressured, overwhelmed and embarrassed.

Went to Michael's today and just went shopping for two things. It was very nice and peaceful and a very nice woman allowed me to let me go first in line. Was then introduced to an old woman. At first, I didn't really mind since she was old and she asked if I had a phone number. I thought she would input it herself but instead told me quite rudely to input it and embarrass/pressure me and press it in without even mentioning it the first time. Now, it may not seem like a big deal overall at first but I did not feel so welcome by her presence. Rather, I felt quite uncomfortable, pressured and even overwhelmed. She was also quite speaking fast so it was hard to hear so I just agreed quickly to what she said and got it over with. I must say, if I were to go back to a Michael's, I hope I get a cashier that is more so welcoming and not as pressuring as the one I have gotten this trip there.

Very Disturbing Customer Service

I received a 20% rewards coupon in the mail for an entire purchase for items that were either on sale or for regular priced merchandise, and which can be used in store or online. I selected two frames. When I went to pay for my online cart, the discount did not come off. So i contacted customer service via chat. I provided them with the two item numbers I was trying to purchase, and after wasting a total of 37 minutes without a resolution, they advised me that the discount did not apply to clearance items When i explained that neither of these items were clearance, they then came back with that the discount did not apply to BOGO . I explained that neither of my items were on-line BOGOs and were just on sale (covered in the coupon terms). I further explain that coupon was not working for ANY items on line, and asked why? The rep 'Shawn G' replied, "I don't have an answer for that but you can place the order online and give the cashier your coupon" (defeating the entire purpose of purchasing on line for delivery). When i complained that this was unacceptable and that I wasted nearly 40 minutes on the chat without an acceptable outcome, Shawn G replied without a morsel of empathy, "Is there anything else I can help you with today"? this poured fuel on the fire, but I just let it go and went online to Walmart. Aside from the horrendous customer service, based on other Trustpilot reviews, it appears that Michaels is engaging in some type of bait and switch-type behavior, by sending me a coupon to entice business, but then not honoring it and making false excuses initially as to why the coupon did not apply.

Ordered a picture frame

Ordered a picture frame for my daughter’s graduation pictures from Michaels at a great price. When the package arrived I didn’t even need to open it to know it was completely shattered. All the glass was moving around in the package. Of course, at first, I wanted to blame the delivery service, but a month prior, I had ordered the exact same product from another company and it arrived in appropriate packaging and good condition. I don’t know why Michael’s assumed it would arrive in one piece having shipped it in a plastic bag and a layer of bubble wrap. Not even a simple “fragile” stamp, ridiculous! The only reason I gave three stars is because customer service immediately offered a refund or to send a replacement. I opted for the replacement and hopefully this one arrives in one piece.

I went in store and had a great…

I went in store and had a great experience. They have a wide selection, staff is friendly and helpful when needed. Endless ideas for crafts to do for all ages. I was helped at the Coquitlam location in BC and Jonathan was pleasant and helpful at cash. Good atmosphere.

Purchased an item today with a 20% off…

Purchased an item today with a 20% off coupon. Item was not on restrictions list. Was told coupon was not good for this item. Why do they do this. Also 25% off if you give an e-mail. Was told only on line. Offer didn't say that. Cashier was nasty. Give every excuse not to honor discounts. Spend a lot of money here but no more. This place is a scam.

Great employees!

I went to the store in walker, Michigan on Alpine and it was very clean, I found everything I needed and the workers were very friendly! Especially Victoria, she helped me check out and showed me a coupon I could use with my rewards. Amazing customer service!

James was so very helpful and knowledgeable. I felt he went out of his way to make sure I got what I came for…. Above and beyond. The cashier was extremely helpful and another young lady was there to help. I didn’t get her name.

I would rate it 0 if possible

I would rate it 0 if possible, horrible retailer. I purchased a frame on Sunday but when I got home realized it wasn't going to work. I accidently shredded the receipt but all I was ok with a store credit. I bought it at the Niles store but went to the Norridge location to return to see what selection of frames they had for an exchange. I explained everything at the register and I was told that it works cissy me $12 since I didn't have a receipt. So they works return all but $12! That's a lot of money to charge when they had the item in stock. I showed them the transaction on my bank account for $44.09 which the manager said they had no way of knowing if they was for just one item. How stupid and ignorant is that! I replied, you have the frame in stock at $39.99 plus tax clearly indicates its one item! Didn't make a difference as they said it was policy. My transaction didn't show up when they scanned my card maybe because it hasn't posted yet. So I went to the original location thinking that it might make a difference. It didn't but they were giving me back a few dollars more! How does that make sense. I'll wait a day or two and hope that when the transaction posts, they'll be able to scan and see it on their end. This is highway robbery. Even though I showed proof, they didn't even think about looking at it. I will NEVER walk into a Michael's again. People need to come together and put these businesses out of business so they can't cheat the public. They were going to make 30% off of this. 30%!!!!

Michael's in Sacramento CA

I shopped at the Michael's in Sacramento CA. I went in to pick up a jar of Modpodge for a project. Landed up getting 3 glass jar candles on a special. Cashier was extremely helpful and nice. Other staff members were very helpful. I checked out, but didn't need a bag. I packed up my car with the 3 glass jars. Well, one of them rolled off of my car seat, crashing onto the parking lot pavement!!! I went back inside to let them know what happened. The cashier told me to go select another one and instructed a staff member to clean it up. I was pleasantly surprised by this kind gesture. I'm a senior citizen and this meant a great deal to me. I didn't get her name, but kudos 👏 🙌 for wonderful customer service.

Worst of the 3 big craft stores

I really prefer Hobby Lobby's stock and Joann's great customer service to Michaels, which lacks in both. I had a very poor experience at Michaels in Edina MN with the manger. A young guy who has trouble looking people in the eye. I gave them another chance a couple weeks ago. My phone died with all my coupons. I put all my items in my basket and went to pay. I noticed I left my phone outside and told what happened to the cashier. She understood and said maybe we could use them anyway. She asked the manger as he scurried by and he said no immediately and without hesitation. I was standing right there. No smile no eye contact. I emailed the company and the DM and received no response. Hey Michaels, really bad customer service! If you can't get back to me I see i don't matter to you. Back to hobby Lobby. They may not like us gays, but they treat me 100 percent better.
