I shop at Michaels pretty often

I shop at Michaels pretty often. On September 6 I stop there to see if there was a sale on Copic markers. they in deed were on sale from September 6-8. I purchased six markers. Since this location didn't have all the colors, I decided to visit another one. After I chose colors non my list, the employee took them from me and took them to the cashier. I felt that I wasn't trusted not to still them. I am an artist, not a criminal. Copic markers aren't the most expensive things at Michaels. If I am not trusted there, why would I shop there? On September 8 I went to the first store, close to my house. Same thing happened. I wasn't pleased a bit. This is not a way to treat costumers and potential costumers who may get the same service.

Bring a Michael’s store to Southern York County!

I like the selection at Michael’s the layout of the store and the associates are knowledgeable and helpful. Would like to see a store pop up in Southern York County. Dream job: Being hired by Michael’s to test products & share experience with their customers.

This location was amazing

This location was amazing! The store was neat and clean. The store manager, Anna, is wonderful. So friendly, so helpful, and fun! I have never met a better store manager and I shop a lot Renee, Jackie, Javier (asst manager) Kam (cashier), and Anna (store manager) were so, so helpful. It was such an amazing experience!

16 cancelled orders. more than 16 hours lost. worst customer service.

I bought $400 in a wrong product for my shop and returned, they gave me 2 gift cards. I used 1 of them, received some collector's tins all smashed (1st problem, the horrible shipping of a delicate product, and even though I asked on the chat to be more protected, their "better"was still not badly protected), had to return again, they split in like 5 gift cards, because there was a voucher used. Ok. Used 2 of them, received the products, but i still had to use 2 gift cards of 70 and had 45 on vouchers. So it started to stop functioning, 16 cancelled orders in a row. Tried everything, with gift card, with voucher, voucher + card. Tried to chat on the customer service tones of times, opening case Ids, by email, tried even to order by the phone (worst experience felt in 18th century, lost an hour and the order was cancelled the same way). They always gave me the same answer that "You may want to check and make sure that the shipping and billing address match and they are the same as the one on your method of payment. This is normally what would cause an order to cancel." but they dont say WHAT is causing specifically. How come it could be cancelled if i used the gift card without any address? I lots MANY DAYS trying to use this money, it has been 3 weeks already. They are driving me crazy, I never had so much trouble to buy in a shop. They simply dont know how to help. I dont know what to do so I am coming public to see if anyone pays attention on me. I just want to spend money is that so hard? I lost count of the hours i lost. Each order was at least 1 one triying to discover what could be wrong. 16 hours at lease and a lot of nervousism.

Framing Department

Framing Department The stores are loosing experienced framers. I brought in a mat that I needed reproduced in a different color. Waited three weeks. They never called me that it was in. When I went in, it couldn’t be found. I left and another person had looked a little harder, and found it. Unfortunately, the measurements were so off, I could not use it. Now we have to re-order another mat. It will have still cost me the same, with all the trips there and the re-do and more waiting. My project will not be finished on time. This is why I usually use Hobby Lobby, but HL does not have this mat color.

Elliot and Mindy are amazing

Elliot and Mindy are amazing. I went in to find art projects for my kids to do over the summer and these 2 ladies helped me out. Great customer service!! If you are in Naples FL go to store 2022!

Michael's for me is a wonderful place…

Michael's for me is a wonderful place to wander and imagine the possibilities of creating something all my own.there are times when stock is low or unavailable. The staff at RIOCAN in Toronto are always very helpful but changes a lot. I have ordered online and received my goods very quickly, that's a plus for me. I would like to see an expanded sewing notions depth. Otherwise great store

Was it my skin color?

I have spent many years and many dollars shopping at Micheals. My past two visits, the staff followed me around like I was a criminal. I couldn’t understand why I was being followed and when I told the employee following me that she could help me since she was following me around, She was taken aback as if she had no idea what I just said to her. However, she was the only one in every aisle that I went into! I had my cell phone and my wallet and the shopping basket. I was trying to decide what to pick up for 3 parties I have scheduled. Is it a crime to think and ponder what might be a good fit and value for my purchase? I was in the store approximately 20 minutes when They started following me. I was really irritated since I remembered this happened the last time I shopped at Micheals. Appalling! Hobby Lobby, OTC, JoAnns, and my LYC will get my spendable for my personal and business needs.

Michaels lost my parcels

I had 2 Amazon parcels delivered to Michaels. I received delivery confirmations for both. When I went to pick up the deliveries, Michaels could not find them. They lost 2 packages - about $75 of products. Not impressed. Do not send Amazon packages through Michaels. Use the post office.

Hallmarks of Micheals ...

I have shopped Micheals for over a decade. It is relevant to say they, like most businesses are operating w lack of consistent staff. Those who are on duty must b given accolades for their ability to give good service to customers. I had hoped this location had restarted onsite classes. It really is nice to be w others and share the creative learning of a new art forms. All in all good sales, variety of options, and knowledgeable staff are hallmarks of this location.

Michael gift card rip off

I purchased one of Michael's gift cards at an Abbottsford BC location as a birthday gift for a friend. When my friend finally used the card a little bit over a month later. And not passed the 60 day expiry date of the card. It registered that there was no money in the card. I had payed for $70.00. Long and short of it. I went to the store I purchased it from, where they told me it was already used, which it wasn't. I will say they were quite helpful and a thanks to Abbottsford store for at least trying to help me. I called customer service, they told me the card was spent in Alberta, and that they could not reimburse my lose. I mentioned that my friend lives in Chilliwack and that she has not been to Alberta at all. That being said they told me they cannot refund the money because it was already spent. I was a bit upset and asked if there was anything they could do. Simple answer. NO. I can't understand how a gift card got used in another province, when it never left BC. I was not impressed, after that, it was a polite to bad so sad. I have never had this ever happen to me. If there is anyone else who has experienced a similar incident with the Michael's gift cards please let me know what you did, if you were able to do anything to get to the bottom of the issue.

I finally unsubscribed from Michaels…

I finally unsubscribed from Michaels after so many years of enjoying the store. Every single time lately when I attempt to shop online , I have been frustrated. So many items required me to buy a quantity I don't need nor want. So many items " not available to ship". These aren't special items with particular shipping needs. They are everyday craft items - yarn, etc. Why all the restrictions on shipping and quantity? I know the answer, of course - more profit. Shopping at Michaels became a hassle and always a disappointment. The same scenario - I search and search for just what I want. Oh, I have to buy 10? Oh, it is "unavailable for shipping." Well, I am unavailble for shopping at Michaels and I bet you could buy at least 10 of me out here.

Poor framing

I took a cross stitch project that took me 4 years to complete, to be framed. After a $300 payment I went to pick it up and they had framed it crooked. When I complained they said if they put a mat around it, it should look better. Not so much, still crooked. Tried to talk with a manager and was told the manager would call me.

Not particularly crafty

Not particularly crafty, I only knew I needed a cork surface of a certain size on which to pin some photos for an upcoming family gathering. I wanted to spend as little as possible and I knew Michael's was my best bet, plus I knew where it was located - very convenient for me.

When corona virus hit ....I could not…

When corona virus hit ....I could not wear a mask because of a brain injury that causes me to gasp deeply. So I would carry a sign and go when the store was fairly empty...to avoid being next to anyone...I have been harassed for the last year and a half...the employee or employees would follow me through the store and stand there while I was trying to shop...I'm a glow in the dark artist and I go there all the time and spent thousands and thousands of dollars. When the employee would harass me I would call corporate headquarters and have them listen while they were bothering me. Time went by and I wasn't bothered anymore until a month ago. I guess a new manager came on board and was going to vindicate the employees because I called about them harassing me. I again called headquarters to let them know what she was doing. THEY HAVE RECORDS OF IT ALL! So today a new manager is there and after my purchase she told me that I could not come in the store anymore (obviously she wasn't told that headquarters knows everything) this time she threatened me and told me if I came in the store she would call different people to have me taken out of the store! SHE HAS NO IDEA CORPORATE KNOWS EVERYTHING AND SHE DOES NOT. Be wary when going to MOORPARK MICHEALS...why don't I go to another store you might ask....because I'm not driving 25 miles out of my way because there are bullies in the micheals store in moorpark...TIME TO LAWYER UP

This is the worst website I've ever tried to use

This is the worst website I've ever used. It can't fix my catch 22 account problem. I just want to update my info. I have tried for years. Cashiers in the stores should be able to update accounts cuz this website can't think straight. The chat person wouldn't fix it and they won't publish a support phone number. Whenever possible I will buy elsewhere.
