Reference number 107557100 I had a family plan,removed a number for one month and 18th and 19th july tried to recharge it started giving error “threshold limit reached “ then on 20th July I added that number to same family again , received SMS about recharge but after that no network bars and sometimes SOS
Lyca failed to send me the QR code that I need to set up the eSIM on my phone. Nevertheless they claim the "plan activation" was successful. It was not successful for me. I have not received a usable eSIM.
UPDATE 7/18/2025: after writing the previous review Lyca Mobile customer service did contact me. They offered me a refund for eSIM and informed me that I would have to purchase a physical SIM. They told me what I needed to do for a full refund. I did exactly as they asked and once again I have not heard anything. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I decided to buy the esim card for like $12.86 which includes unlimited talk, text and data. I assumed the esim would work in my phone but it is not compatible. Shame on me for not checking first. This does not excuse Lyca customer service from blowing me off completely. I have called the number several times both times I finally got through I was hung up on. LIA the chat bot can't help me so it pushes me through to wait on agent who never answers. Oh and it states I can email them too only to be ignored once again. So I sit here day #4 with no solution. Not even an almost solution. I guess what I'm saying is their customer service sucks and they are making me feel like I'm not even a customer of theirs.

UPDATED: I have NOT heard back from LycaMobile on on this specific issue. Few days have gone by and NO proper resolution. I PAID in FULL for 30-days of service, but I received only 25 days. This is clearly wrong! LycaMobile, please offer me refund! To whom it may concern: I prepaid for 30-days of UNLUMITED prepaid service (talk,text, & data) on LycaMobile carrier, BUT i am ONLY getting 25 days of service from LycaMobile. I called LycaMobile's CS phone number on March 26th, but did not get proper resolution nor extension for the 5 days loss of service. Will contact FCC and BBB to file formal complain on this specific issue. Once again, I PREPAID for 30-days of prepaid unlimited phone plan, but I only received 25 days of service from LycaMobile. Here is the timeline history: March 21th 202: purchased 30-days of service for unlimited plan (credit charged 908AM CST) March 23rd 2025 9:08AM CST: Received email notification from LycaMobile on successful ACTIVATION of the SIM-CARD. March 24th 2025 510pm CST: Received email notification from LycaMobile that sim-card was shipped via FedEx carrier. Tracker ID ((286769994505)) March 26th 2025 1210pm CST: FedEx carrier driver delivered the sim-card. As stated above, per FedEx Tracking ID ((286769994505)), the SIM-CARD was delivered ON March 26th 2025 1210pm CST

The website does not work well. In one place in tells me auto renewal is on, on another it says auto renewal is off. Often when I attempt to get things done on the website nothing happens. For example, the website glitches, doesn't load or a button is pressed but the action is not fulfilled. The customer service agents are not native English speakers and therefore it can be hard to communicate which is especially disappointing when you are already frustrated with your attempts on the website. Sometimes the customer service will give you information about your account after you confirm your name, number and one time password and then suddenly half way through the call they start asking you for your full name and date of birth and claim they can not give any information until they have that. The service etc. is generally good.

Well, i am our "Lyca" valuable customer from past 9 years, you can bet on my wordsif i say---- how good our Lyca services & even its live customer care representatives services. Lets appreciate our "MARLENE" our live lyca agent -----contacted our Lyca online chat for live agent & there our live agent " MARLENE" helped me for answering my queries. He is very much proactive, cooperative & understanding the query and the answered all. I felt really happy about his valuable service of understanding the customer query & answering back with ease and in very polite way. I called customer service to recharge my SIM card. I was annoyed about the senseless loop of trying to do this online and having Lyca send confirmation codes to my phone number that wasn’t working bc it wasn’t charged. Omar was the customer service person who was very patient with me and keenly able to calm my beast and walk me through the best solution for what I needed. Omar was incredibly patient, respectfully persistent and very resourceful. You don’t run into such efficient service very often, particularly with difficult customers like me. Omar managed to turn a very pissed customer ready to hung up into a very satisfied and grateful customer. People like him need to be training other customer service agents. I went to the US for a week holiday. Looking online for an eSIM I found Lyca which seemed cheap. I bought it and was super easy everything. They did not ask me in the process if I wanted auto renew of the plan so I did not worry. Once back home, one month after I receive a charge on my card. Trying to cancel auto renew but the two options they offer do not work abroad as you cannot call nor I receive the SMS that they are supposed to send for entering your account. I contact by email and they do not answer. I contacted the chat and the agent was pretty much useless, I gave all the data they asked me and after 20 minutes of chat asking me 3 times for the same thing I was told I had to write an email, which I already did. So, do not use this provider. They just take your card and keep charging you without your consent.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, stay away from Lyca Mobile. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare, from poor customer support to weak signal strength and slow internet speeds. After dealing with these ongoing issues, I decided to port out to another carrier. That’s when the real trouble began. Instead of making the process smooth, Lyca Mobile demanded excessive personal information, including: The reason for switching My new service provider's name Two frequently dialed numbers Last top-up date and amount My frequent payment methods The last four digits of my credit/debit card ICCID (the SIM card number) Despite providing all the requested details, which they had no right to ask for in the first place, I was met with endless delays. After 13 days, they claimed they couldn’t verify my account and asked me to submit my information again. This is clearly a deliberate tactic to trap customers and prevent them from leaving. At this point, I refuse to waste any more time. Instead of fighting them for my number, I will let my account expire and get new phone numbers for my kids and myself. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Lyca Mobile. If you ever sign up, be prepared to be stuck with them indefinitely.

Lycamobile has great and affordable plans. I have been a loyal customer of Lycamobile for the past 7 years, and I had to get my wife to start using Lycamobile in 2024, as well as encouraging other people to use it as well. However, their main problem is the very poor and abysmal customer service and the mobile app which was not so great for a long time - thankfully the mobile app seemed to have been improved upon in the last 1 year. A lot of times, Lycamobile customer service representatives are not very professional and knowledgeable about your problems and specific needs. Sometimes they don't pick up your calls, and at other times they just hang up on you without resolving your problems even after you had waited for close to an hour for your call to be picked up. I had this same experience with a customer service representative last night on 03/20/2025; I don't remember his name but I am sure he's Indian. He couldn't resolve my problem, he misled me and I got charged for a new eSIM, and he hung up on me when he couldn't find answers to my important questions on SIM swap. On the flip side, I had an awesome and amazing experience with another customer service representative - Akira- today. She is the best I have spoken with in my 7 yrs of using Lycamobile. She was professional, kind, empathetic and willing to help. She patiently answered all my questions and helped to resolve my problems by advising me on what to do, as well as escalating the eSIM issue and initiating a refund on the wrongly charged eSIM. Other customer service representatives should learn from Akira; she is a super staff and she deserves accolades.

I called to 612 customer service number for Auto renewal deactivation on my Lyca Account. Ms. NELIA assisted me on my request, she is very proactive in understanding customer’s request and addressed all of my queries very promptly. She did my request effectively and respects customer’s time as well. I am extremely happy with Ms. NELIA’s service and looking forward to talk to her for all my future queries , assistance where I really required.
