Utterly disappointing service. Both from their trustpilot team and their in-house team. They will reply to your comment on here with apologies etc but it's just a show. After emailing them, they reply with a standard reply with no follow up and no solution. Chase them and they just ignored it and now I have an email to say they have sent me to an agency to collect £1.30!!!! They don't give me an option or way to pay for it and I can't connect to customer service to resolve this because after waiting for 1hr on the phone, they disconnect the line. Would never recommend this company to anyone!!! Disgusting
Slow delivery. Email says sent via first class and coming within 3 days. Its been 5 days yet nothing.
I bought this pay as you go SIM to use abroad which it stated that I could when I bought it however when I got on holiday and tried to use it it was stuck on 3g and it would not connect to a mobile network.
Worse company ever lost my phone need a new esim all they have to do is tell me the info on the phone I cannot access emails this is the only company that trades in UK that won't let you change your details and they claim they have no power you have to email monthly in order for them to change it I lost £2000 worth of business and now they need to pay for my loss of income see you in court
I recently signed a 12-month contract with Lycamobile, assuming — like any reasonable customer — that it would start on the day I registered and signed the agreement. Instead, they delayed the official contract start date by nearly a month and then charged me for that in-between period. When I questioned it, they claimed it was mentioned in the 20+ page contract. Seriously? No one reads every hidden clause in a legal document just to find out when your plan actually starts. Important billing details should be made crystal clear — not buried in fine print. This feels deliberately misleading and borderline unethical. If your service is active from day one, the contract should be too. I regret switching to Lycamobile and wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for transparency or fair treatment. Avoid if you value honesty and clarity.
I have been complaining for over a month now. I cannot send a premium text. As a result I am now going directly to the industry ombudsman as this company cannot resolve issues yet they still want to charge when they cannot provide the service they are contracted to do. In addition I have been given four different reference numbers for the same complaint. How can a company close an issue when it is not closed. Makes me wonder about how accurate the resolution % are.
Since my data access was blocked due to "excessive usage," I followed the instructions provided by the call center and sent an email on 25 June. I received a response from the company on 4 July, which only requested account information to verify my identity. I replied on the same day, but did not receive a second response until 12 July. Taking over a week to respond to a customer is well below industry standards. I am very disappointed with this company—both for completely blocking my data access after using only approximately 80GB in 4 hours, and for the unacceptably slow response to resolving the issue.
The experience of onboarding was mostly very good. However, there was a small hiccup when I tried to use website pointed by Lyca 99p sim Pack leaflet. The account would not activate preventing me from topping up. I needed to resolve this via Customer Service and wait on hold for a few minutes. Thankfully, the support was kind to assist me further, save me trips to shop and offered me very good package for my need. This is why I give 5 stars.
Really poor customer service made 10 call each call full of misinformation rude aggressive staff and 8 out of the 10 disconnected calls on prosperity when asking questions to find solution to my issue of not being able to recieve calls and sms disgusting behaviour !!!

The agent didn't understand my problem, so I gave up and eventually resolved the problem myself.
I was with lycamobile for years,right back from when they were on O2’s network. When they changed to using EE’s network it was fantastic coverage and the speed doubled. They remain a fantastic network for the price today with a stable and super fast network. Unfortunately Lyca don’t discriminate when it comes to ripping you off when they can. I was on a 100 gig pay monthly contract for £13 a month but needed more data so shopped around and found an excellent deal 200g for £16 monthly contract at 1p mobile who also use EE. I cancelled my contract at the end of that month a rolling monthly contract. And £13 was taken 5 days later for that month. Next thing I am aware of is they are asking for another £16.74 for the following month despite having left them and passed my details onto a debt collection agency, how disgusting is that after all the time I was with them which must have been over 5 years. Luckily I had screen shots of direct debits dates and my PAC code termination date which I sent to the debt collection agency who challenged lycamobile on this and they backed down. You should be ashamed of yourself lycamobile trying to scam your loyal customers out of money they don’t owe you, you should be looking after me and in the future I might of come back to you for another 5 years at 60 x £13 = £780 How ironic that lycamobile chase you for money you don’t owe and they are in dispute with HMRC over a non payment of £50 million VAT and at one point were facing a company winding up order! No apology from them! I will now tell all of my friends about the way I have been treated by Lycamobile who will tell their friends the same. Hope the damage to your reputation from this review was worth it lyca!
I spoke to you that the order was a mistake and I did not use the chips and I asked to return them to you and my friend spoke with the company to cancel the order and it was not canceled.
Travelled with the UK. Roaming was configured on my mobile phone and i had a full signal whilst in the EU indicated by full bars and an "R" icon. Network connected to was called EDGE. Could not connect to the mobile internet despite the phone showing I had excellent connection status. Tried messaging the laughable support team. They didn't respond for 40mins and then closed the support ticket immediately🤬. The system is non-existent and the support team are incompetent and couldn't care less about the people who pay their wage. Ofcom should fine Lyca Mobile for failing in their duties. Lyca Mobile is absolutely appalling💩. ========================= ========================= I see that LEBARA✅ mobile have excellent customer service😀, will change to them at the first opportunity.
