Excellent reception and very good signal
I received an excellent service from Russel (customer advicer), very patient and helpful to sort out a network issue, which I faced with Lyca sim.
This Lycamobile has scamm me 25£ from me. I have been trying to fix it for 2 days. They are keeping me waiting. I will meet with them in a lawsuit or the owner can call me or I applied for an unlimited bundle. The repair gave me 35GB. They are keeping me waiting for 2 days.
Do not use this company. My e-SIM stopped working on 1 June and despite a number of emails they have not resolved the problem. Having become frustrated I rang to cancel the auto renewal and they hung up on me! I’ve emailed again and asked them this time to cancel the auto renewal and still no response. At this point I’m probably going to cancel the direct debit and hope that resolves the problem because they seem incapable of sorting it out.
Lyca customer service is horrible. Giving them 1 star because I can't give 0 star. The staff are rude, cannot think out the box and generally a pain. I would not recommend Lyca to my enemy. Makes sense why they have so many poor reviews and rank 93/95. Although I think I finally got to the solution of my issue (time would tell), I don't want to ever have any reason to deal with them again.
They block your SIM if you get a refund and will only unblock it if you cancel that refund. Most of the time when you top up online it doesn't go through. Unlimited data isn't unlimited, you pay for it and get a little bit of the 'unlimited' mobile data you've payed for. I've had this network for years and have always had problems, customer service is a joke. Will not be using ever again.

I recently joined Lyca from Smarty and the difference is like night and day. I was forever without mobile data on Smarty, since changing to Lyca I haven't experienced poor coverage once! This time I did my research, once I realised Lyca uses the EE network I knew it would likely be good. I used to be on EE and the coverage was also fantastic, but the plans are a little pricey. Lyca seems to be a good option giving great coverage at a more affordable price.
I am struggling to get my all old invoices from Lyca Pay-monthly team after several follow up emails and calls since last 9 days. There is no response at all.
Paid online. Money taken. No credit. Chat not responding or over half an hour. Customer service repeated the problem back to me 10 times over without offering a solution then got disconnected and I have an urgent call to make. Absolutely diabolical service. Please fix this. I've called you THREE TIMES. You cut me off THREE TIMES. I've sent payment proof. I've spent hours on this already when I should have been making an urgent all. CHECK YOUR EMAIL. I sent it where your infuriatingly obstructive customers services person told me to send it. I'm not wasting any more time on this.
For some weird reason the app has me subscribed to two plans and doesn't let me unsubscribe from neither of them. I sometimes wanted to top up my credit and this credit money would appear to immediately disappear. Worse of all of that, I had been trying to contact a real person from customer service and for months I have received no answer at all. Please use any other mobile service.
Impossible to cancel, They ignore all messages and emails, no online cancellation. Avoid at all cost
I would advise caution when considering this mobile network provider, as my experience with their customer support has been extremely disappointing. Prior to traveling to Europe, I selected a new plan suitable for international use and ensured that my previous plan was deactivated, including disabling auto-renewal. Despite this, the old plan was automatically renewed and charged to my account, resulting in two active plans simultaneously. When I contacted customer support to request a refund, I encountered repeated delays and unhelpful responses. Additionally, the network service in Europe was unreliable, causing further inconvenience during my travels. After two months of unsuccessfully pursuing a resolution, I decided to port my number to Lebara, where I’ve had a more satisfactory experience so far.
Found it hard to use , still haven't got it sortted, waste of money.
I am writing this to try and get a response from Lyca Mobile. My credit report is shot to bits due to a fraudulent account being attached to me. I have contacted them but they do not respond. I have done all I can to get this account removed but nothing. I wonder if this will help?
AVOID THIS COMPANY! I have tried to speak with them many times but their lack of comprehension of my issue is simply beyond all reasoning! I no longer have the sim! I was not able to use it. It was on a pay as you go why are you taking a monthly payment ! Why is it showing making calls when it’s no longer in existence (deleted from my phone) Why for the last 6 weeks have you failed to answer queries. Why do you fail to respond to your “contact your team answering Trustpilot” well I think we know why after reading all the complaints on here. I think as customers we all really need to start raising the issue with the OMBUDSMAN is it not taking money by fraud if you don’t have services? and try to get publicity with Martin Lewis to warn people to stay away from Lyca or literally enter with your eyes wide open I thought mine were wide open so dipped my toes in for a month only for Lyca to keep taking money. Bizarrely it doesn’t show on the app but is evident in the bank chargers . I’ve raised a dispute fingers crossed . But anyone thinking of a contract ! Go with a reputable alternative! Oh and lyca trust pilot team don’t respond with you’re sorry, just reply to my previous email
Only had the sim for a week, but so far everything is going well.
Lyca Mobile have appalling Customer Services. The Customer agents just can’t sort any billing issues and just spin you around and fob you off with excuses. The call centre is incredibly noisy and it’s almost impossible to understand the agent over the noise and clatter. So email the Customer Service department with a detailed explanation of the issue with all the relevant information about the bill and phone number. That also is a waste of time as they never responded. So in UK Lyca use EE. Yes the phone works well as EE is a quality network and Lyca prices are very keen. But if anything goes wrong you left without help.
