Kawitha gave great customer service, and sorted my problem . Thank you
Extremely annoyed customer services. I bought new contract sims (3) for my family who recently moved to UK. Lycamobile delivered 2 sims which we are using and didn't delivered the third one. I did the direct debit from my account for all three sims. Unfortunately the company is now keep on deducting money from my account for all three sims. I have complaint multiple times from past 1 month but still they are deducting the charges. Sim is non activated and I didn't receive it as well. I requested them to cancel the sim but they never respond. Few days back i posted a negative review and their trustpilot enquery team requested to send an email to them. I emailed them all my details but they never responded till now. Trustpilot lyca mobile email address. They have given me mental stress and I highy not recommend them to anyone. Worst call center as it seems like they have call center in another country. Don't pick calls even holding for an hour and email them multiple times on their complaint and cs address but no use. Please someone advice me how i can take up this matter to highest authorities. Thank you.
Stay Away From Lyca Mobile Lyca is by far the worst mobile provider in the UK, they rely heavily on good bundles and network coverage marketing, HOWEVER, if you have a problem (and you will at some point) it is an absolute nightmare to get it resolved. I signed up, got credit checked and waited for my SIM card,..THEY put my address in wrong and the SIM was sent back to them. Trying to speak to someone is a nightmare on hold and when you finally get through the direct it to a different department where you are on hold again! 😠 To rectify THEIR mistake you're then required to submit multiple Identity documents and proof of address despite the fact they already did a credit check with your name and address on sign up! 🤦♂️ Oh, and at this point I'm being charged for something i don't even have! By now you've had enough and just want to cancel the contract, this is where the real fun begins. Multiple emails to all their help & support address' completely ignored and unanswered, so you have no choice but to call them. When you finally get through to the department to cancel your contract they continue to ask multiple questions on why you want to leave and how can they fix it. I must of said around 20 times, very politely, "there's nothing you can do or say to make me continue with the contract, please cancel it right now, today, immediately". They continue to ask you the SAME retention questions over and over!! FFS! Then when you finally get them to cancel they start asking security questions, plan details, send you one time pass codes to read out to them and they simply change your Pay Monthly contract to a Pay as you Go set up! Honestly, i just want out, i don't want anything further from you, at all, ever! It should be illegal for companies to make it this difficult to cancel a contract. It took me over an hour to cancel my contract. Also their call centre is in Sri Lanker and it is extremely difficult to understand some of the call centre staff. I will never recommend this network to anyone.
I activated a “1 Month Unlimited Plus (PAYM)” SIM on 12 June 2025. Within three days (15 June) — well inside the 14-day cooling-off window — I emailed Lycamobile to cancel and disable auto-renewal. They asked for extra details (supplied 17 June) and then… silence. Fast-forward to 5 July: an invoice for £37.65 lands for a second month I never authorised. The online portal still shows “auto-renew ON”. Multiple follow-up emails and a phone call later, I’ve had no written acknowledgement, no refund, and no confirmation that the contract is cancelled. Their agents promise callbacks that never happen and insist “the system is down”. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations a provider must stop charging and refund within 14 days of cancellation; Lyca ignored that. Ofcom’s rules require clear exit processes; again, ignored. I’m now preparing a charge-back and an ADR complaint because basic customer-service channels have failed. Lycamobile’s TrustScore of about 3/5 already flags “mixed” service —but my experience was firmly at the bottom end. Bottom line: If you value timely support, transparent billing and the right to cancel hassle-free, look elsewhere.
Call to Customer Service first got dropped and then the following call I spoke to a lady named Nona and she was friendly and knew what she was doing. It was a breeze
I decided to change Network Provider from Lycamobile UK. So, I requested a PAC Code. I used the PAC Code and my number was switched over to the New Network. But, I was still charged £6.99 for the next month. I complained that I should not have been charged for the next month as I used the PAC Code before the start of the next months billing period to Lycamobile UK Customer Service. But, they said that that they couldn't do anything because now the account is closed because my number had been Ported across to the new mobile service provider. VERY POOR! It should be an automatic refund of mobile allowances not used like other Mobile Sim Companies do!
Robert was very helpful in my call.
They charge you upfront for 12 months and after admitting the mistake they never refund you . You charge me £54.00 upfront 12 months, you should charge every month £4.50 not £54. Then when I complain what you did black list my mobile number because I call the bank to stop payment to you. Check your bank account they charge you fraudulent and never refund you.scam company.
Absolutely the worst mobile provider when it comes to customer service, no response to emails despite messaging numerous times. They won’t allow plan renewal from a credit balance PAYG and refuse to refund my credit balance 😡. Beware if you’re thinking of switching to them UPDATE, even their advice below by texting a plan code to buy a plan with the credit on my account DOESNT WORK 😡😡
My friend was scammed by someone from lycra.lucky enough she got to contact the bank before they could take anything.they keep phoning her so many times and send a text message with a code for her to send the code back to them.my friend had just come out of hospital and was feeling very vulnerable would not recommend this company to anyone.just advice people to beware Of scammers
Anne was very helpful and she patiently listened and answered my questions about my situation. She also sorted out my problems within the call. Very appreciated that. This will made my journey much smoother. Thank you
Sairha was very helpful, clear with communication and advise and really polite. She resolved my issue quickly and calmly. Great service 👍🏻
Being with Lyca had its issues with verification texts from other companies, but I could live with this. But I recently moved, and Lyca has poor reception, so I switched to another provider using the PAC code. Now, after terminating the direct debit, they continue to bill me each month under threat of legal action. Complaint made, but they have ignored that. Steer clear.
Good service LIA helps me very well today
Took ages to leave them absolute rubbish customer service we aim to respond in 48 hrs more like a week every time Rang up took 4 attempts to speak to someone who hung up on me when I asked a question on how to get the number for the account I had neither ordered or activated Don't use this company
Horrible company and the worst internet network in the UK
Top drawer Tidy
Great order
If you are visiting the UK, do not buy an data esim from this company. It is a scam. I activated the esim that supposedly came with 30Gb of data. No data on it, no plan. The app suggested to pay more to add a plan. Wasted an hour with support that kept insisting I check their website (with which data?!). On the second call they put me on hold for 40min supposedly “opening a ticket”. No solution, no refund. Total scam, I paid for no services rendered. Welcome to the UK… Addendum - As I mentioned to the support team on the call and responding to Lyca's answer: nowhere in the email instructions I received to install the esim does it say not to activate the esim outside of the UK. Stating this fact during purchase selection is not enough as both events (purchase and installation) happen at different times. Make a note next to the QR code instructions if this is indeed a problem.
