My partner had booked tickets way in advance to fly return from Netherland to South Africa, and because we knew we were not going to change our flight dates, we chose the cheapest tickets. The day before his departure, he couldn't do the self check-in which was odd. So he went in early got checked-in, but they refused to allocate a seat to him. I think there was about 4 other passengers that experienced the same. They waited till everyone boarded, only to be told told they were being involuntary disboarded. (Unofficially we were told this was because we had bought the cheaper tickets and were single tickets). This practice of overbooking flights to make more money is disgraceful. All they did was offer us a refund and another flight via Frankfurt. At this point his luggage got lost between KLM and Lufthansa. This was very stressful as our return flight was booked to coincide with bringing out dogs to Netherlands, and this delay could have seriously impacted all arrangements we had made months in advance. The dogs cargo fees was no cheap. And after months of requesting a better refund and having our case bumped from one KLM department to another. All we got back was their standard refund amount for all the stress they put us through. Whats disgusting is that this treatment of its passengers is not new. This practice of overbooking passengers, leaving their passengers stranded with little regard for what it means to their passengers shows a company that cares little. Stop doing this to us.

Experiencing major frustration with my Nov 2023 delayed baggage refund from @KLM's. Received only £10, a far cry from the claimed $80. No explanation provided, and the claims team has been unresponsive for 2 months. Shockingly, the KLM CS team suggested I 'claim whatever I need' and no allowances and spending limits advice even after asking. Still I managed to be under 80$ limit. Empathizing with those who rely on customer service and claim higher expenses.

Friendly crew, flights often on time, clean and modern aircraft

The service level is horrific at KLM. Its now allmost 1 year since my refund case started and we are still not fully refunded. The level of inkompetence is mind blowing. Everyone is friendly on the phone and ensure they will get right on it. Then what happens, nothing. Its a waste of time to keep calling, no one steps up and take some responsibility. Ive given up and let the thieves keep the money.

Disappointed with my recent airline experience. The condition of the plane seats left much to be desired; some were broken, and the front seats lacked sufficient legroom. Unfortunately, there were instances of unprofessional behavior, including inappropriate touching without my consent, from cabin staff, which led to uncomfortable situations. It's crucial for airlines to maintain a respectful and welcoming environment for all passengers. Additionally, there seemed to be a miscommunication about restroom availability, as some toilets were reserved for staff, causing inconvenience. Communication could have been better, and their assistance was lacking in some areas. I hope the airline takes these comments constructively to enhance the overall passenger experience in the future.

Well i guess i am just one of the many that booked with KLM - and didnt get any service - and in trouble because they changed flight and used their own Transavia - and i got left in trouble I used a few hours on KLM useless website - and contacted them through phone which took me another 2 hours - and still no help The problem for a company like KLM is that they are to big... you cant really complain. I would advice anyone not to use them - use any other - at least remember - if you have problems they dont care !

I cancelled my flight booking and was assured that I would receive a full refund. I had an initial conversation with their representative who confirmed that my money would be returned. However, after waiting for three weeks, there's no indication of any refund. It's unfortunate that KLM doesn't seem to be proactive in addressing this issue. The situation gives an impression that the company is indifferent to returning customer's money once they've sold a ticket. Consider the cumulative interest if they withhold refunds from thousands of customers worldwide for a month. It raises a suspicion that the company may be using these unreimbursed funds to support their own financial investments. I am extremely dissatisfied with KLM's service, and I am determined to not use their services in the future. I won't even consider visiting their website, let alone making a purchase.

Sämsta flyg.

We were traveling to Copenhagen by flight kl1135 from Amsterdam to Copenhagen. When the flights boardning is open , we were waiting at the line with our children and another family were at the back . So the flights agent come to the family which were behind us and they went into the flight before all the passenger and without saying anything to us who were waiting and waiting . It felts not ok for us as they egnore us as a family tills we said that we also have children. Too bad .

KLM - the armpit of European airtravel After a midnight incident at takeoff yesterday at Schiphol where flames shot out of the engine whilst traveling at full speed, panic braking by the pilot (good job), and waiting on the tarmac for two hours with the fire brigade outside before being toed back to the terminal, the KLM service totally imploded and seriously underwhelmed in all ways possible. There was no one from the airline meeting up at the gate, no help in arranging hotels and only a promise to contribute to a meal of 25 euros and a hotel cost of 120 euros (by the way - there has been a bit of inflation since that amount was determined - cheapest hotel found came in at 300 euros). No info or help whatsoever in terms of new flight connections until the service desk opened in the morning, which made a trip to a hotel very risky, as there was no info on when we needed to be back in the airport. In the end, a flight was found taking me to Newcastle 12 hrs late, leading to us missing out on half the purpose of the trip. Moreover - the meal voucher received was for 15 euros and not 25 as promised, with a comment that I could claim the rest at the website. Seldom has I seen such a cynical way of saving costs, as the only reasonable explanation for being so cheap and not living up to what was promised is the hope that most travellers will not bother contacting the airline for a 10 euro refund. Hope you go bust - you deserve it!

Scandalous!!! I literally feel robbed. It took their customer service team 6 days (and 6 hours of my time on the phone) to add an extra seat to an existing booking. After 6 days, they issue one for the wrong date. Therefore, they have charged me extra money but refuse to make a refund - they issue a non-refundable voucher valid for one year that I will have no chance to use. All their channel of communication refers to one another in a loop - nobody is available to address the issue - nobody is in charge in this case. No way to send a complaint - tried, but every department tells me I need to contact another department - in a never-ending loop. Not only - KLM refers to Air France, and Air France says that I am already in touch with KLM. Really a good match of two companies doing their best efforts to offer the WORSE EVER customer care experience - I should have checked their rating on TrustPilot before purchasing flights with them. They have 1 stars, only because you cannot choose 0 stars.
