Poor customer service
Initially the install was good and the servicing was good. I never received the free salt for leaving a review. Then for the next 3 or 5 years all I wanted to do was set up a direct debit which they are just totally inept at doing. Now I have the DD but get spam reminders every week telling me my service is due (it is due annually in september). In January after owning my machine for about 10 years, the resin bag split and dumped in my water supply clogging up my washing machine, dishwasher, 2 toilets, electric shower and undrinkable water. My plumber worked out the problem and EWT told me how to bypass the machine until their engineer could get to me. Unfortunately my arthritic hands couldn't move the very stiff valves so I had to wait for family to come. The first guy came and 'fixed' it, said it was not EWTs fault it was down to chlorine and they wouldn't settle my plumbing bill. It then happened again a couple of weeks later. My son was able to visit and do the valve again. My plumber had to do all the work again and EWT sent another engineer who said he wouldn't or couldnt fix it as the previous plumber had made an error. The next engineer came and said they had fixed it but I haven't taken it off bypass because EWT refuse to settle the 2nd plumbers bill saying they are not at fault and I can't afford to chance it given their resin failure rate and their refusal to accept it was their employee error.
