Absolutely done with this company

Absolutely done with this company! I have had multiple times now where I order food and it gets canceled 30 minutes to over an hour later. I decided to give them another try and was excited to try a new restaurant. I realized 20 minutes or so after placing the order that it still had not been confirmed by the restaurant. I reached out to eatstreet to find out what was going on with the order. They took a few minutes to check on it then eventually told me the order had been canceled. It then showed up on the link to track the order that it had been canceled and email popped up notifying me and offering a $3 coupon for the inconvenience. Last time I ever attempt to waste money on this company and the way that they choose to work with these restaurants because what they are doing doesn't work.

Do not use this service

Do not use this service. I never write reviews because I try to be understanding and know that issues happen here and there. But I find that Eat Street is NOT a reliable service and does not have the customer service or capital to secure or help fix any issues for their “customers”. I did not feel like a customer - more like a person that fell for a scam and over paid for a delivery that never came. When I called to check on my status of delivery / order, the Eat street employee was very rude and told me to just go pick it up if I was close. I was just online with an Eat Street agent trying to see if they could refund me for any portion of my order because they did not deliver it for an hour and a half, so I needed to go pick up the order myself. Before I could ask for anything, the agent did not make any attempt to solve my issue apart from telling me to take it up with the restaurant (the restaurant is operated by the nicest people - so I wanted to go to Eat Street for a refund since they did not deliver the appropriate info to the restaurant). Anyway - the agent ended the chat and I am left with having to take it up with the restaurant - which I will not be doing because they are a hard working group of kind small business owners. If the Eat Street “customer service team” exists and reads this - priority number 1 should be training your agent staff and 2 come up with some sort of small refund or credit option if you don’t deliver the service you are providing. You did nothing >.< just took my money OR would be taking the restaurant’s money for your mistake. I took a screenshot of the chat - it is now greyed out where the agent ended it the second after they sent the last messages so I couldn’t respond. Thanks lol.

NO REFUND Their website kept glitching

Their website kept glitching, when it finally did work it set em for pick up instead of delivery. And no way to change that restaurant can’t do anything. And because my rider was confirmed I was unable to be refunded!!! I had to reorder and have the first order sent with the second order and so far it’s been one hour and 15 minutes. Never again!!!! Customer was horrible in the email no empathy whatsoever and I’ll never use grub hub again. This is what I get straying from door dash

Super over inflated prices

Super over inflated prices. Everything was 15-20 percent more than GH or the restaurant itself. Avoid. Also, notice all the positive reviews say "Invited"? Yeah. Some Johnny-come-lately food ordering app comes along and thinks, "Hey, we can just copy GH or whatever and add 20 percent to the prices, and show no fees and the stupid customer will be none the wiser and think they got a good deal". Genius. Can't wait to tell all my friends about this service. Oh, and let me reply to my comment for you. Hey There! We're sorry to hear about the experience you had. If you haven't already, please contact us at customer.service at eatstreet.com so our Support team can take a look into this. Thank you!

Eatstreet is far and away the worst 3rd…

Eatstreet is far and away the worst 3rd party delivery service. They haven’t updated their platform in years. It’s riddled with bugs probably because their engineers are student interns and can’t afford real ones. Their only customers are loyal midwestern restaurant owners that haven’t migrated because they don’t care about their guest service, just bought eatstreet and implemented it because they’re local, or just don’t want to bother with a proper evaluation of another software. The C level should be ashamed at the state of their product. As a forced eatstreet user in the past, and today, because some of my favorite local restaurants use them because of one of the reasons I stated above… I will forever drive to pickup food if you are my only option. As an outside observer who was once contacted by an eatstreet recruiter, the state of your tech and cx is a complete and total joke and scam. I say scam because your hidden fees…. Delivery fee: “FREE” fees: “this helps us operate.” You are con artists 😂

I ordered from eat street and was emailed saying my order was cancelled. I ended up ordering from another place but lo and behold while I am waiting for the order to arrive the "cancelled" order arrived! Turned out the restaurant had never actually cancelled and I ended up wasting time, money, and food. Way to go Eat street.

If You Want to Eat, Don't Use Eat Street

I ordered from a local pizza place. By the time all of the fees and tip were added, my bill was $50. The pizza did not arrive on time. I tried contacting help from Eat Street on three occasions, the pizza didn't come. I finally fed my guests leftover lasagna. The pizza arrived two hours after it was ordered. We didn't even want it because we had already eaten. Eat Street gave me a coupon for $4 off of my next order. REALLY?!!! Do not use this service! I reached out to their customer service email, and received no response, from what I read this is typical. Look up other reviews before ordering from them!

Useless… and shady

Here’s how useless these guys are: they took my money and placed my order with a restaurant that was closed for renovations. Now here’s how shady they are: when i didnt get my order and wanted my refund, they said i had to call the restaurant. Update: i just got eatstreets generic reply to contact them so they can look into this. I already gave them tons of opportunities to explore and resolve the problem as it was happening. Apparently they take no responsibility for the transaction once they place the order for you, and they WILL NOT contact the restaurant to help resolve issues. Just go directly to the restaurant and cut out the middleman. Eatstreet adds no value to the service you seek when you order food, and is just a hinderance. The restaurants they work with do their own delivering.

I NEVER got my food and they blamed me

I NEVER got my food and they blamed me. I made a $40 order and waited for nearly an hour. When I got the notification that it was delivered, I looked for it at all my entrances and it was not there. I could not find the customer service number on the website and had to look it up. When I called it and explained the problem, the customer service rep began to blame me. He asked me if I included my apartment number, which I did. He then told me it was left at the door, which it wasn't. He kept trying to find ways of telling me how I messed up, or he insinuated that I was lying. This, of course, angered me and I told him to cancel my order and refund me. I merely put in a "request" to cancel my order and refund me and that there had to be an "investigation." I remember the days when a place would simply apologize and refund you rather than try to insinuate you are lying. It seemed to never occur to the man that his driver could have left it at the wrong address or may have stolen it. Eat street has lost a customer today. They are untrustworthy and have bad customer service. Do not let them steal your money.

Inflated menu prices instead of being…

Inflated menu prices instead of being transparent about service fees. Labeled as "preferred method" for online ordering which the restaurant I ordered from confirmed they would prefer orders directly through their own website or SpotOn. Deceitful scammed. They didn't actually bring any value to my ordering experience. I didn't find the restaurant through their website as I have eaten their many times in person. This was for a pickup order so delivery service wasn't ordered.

Eatstreet rates and service is ridiculous

Eatstreet charges you between 20% - 40% of your order between all its "service" fees. They add on all kinds of costs, none of which go to the driver. Their fees meet or exceed my tips and I tip really well (NEVER less than 20% and minimum $7 per delivery fee because of gas - even if a few blocks away). I"m disabled so I rely on delivery, but even if you pay the annual service fee, they charge you additional costs. So you either end up screwing over the delivery drivers (which i won't do) or ES bleeds you dry.

Upcharged on food cost and extremely late delivery

I ordered my food with an estimated time of delivery to be 27 minutes. My total was $8.69 for the food and tax and then another $3.47 in fees for EatStreet services. I also added a $4 tip. My food came, the restaurant receipt stated $7.33 for a total on my food and it was 55 minutes for the driver to get here. Nobody credited my acct for the late cold food I received and when questions about the difference in cost they said that was normal fees they charge for operation costs....What?? So we get charged more for the food and a service charge?

Use any service but this one

I can't really see how I could recommend that anyone use this service. I ordered $30 worth of food on a Sunday night - received a notification that the order had been received and would be delivered at a certain time. That time came and went, and I never received my food. OK, things happen, all I need is for someone to make this right. I contacted Eatstreet for a refund and was informed by "Joseph" that: "Unfortunately, requests for a refund should be made directly to the restaurant. Since EatStreet does not handle the delivery of the food for this restaurant, we are not able to process refunds regarding food quality. If the restaurant agrees to give you credit back, they will need to contact us to confirm this, as per our policy for refunds." So first off, this wasn't about food quality, it was of course that I received nothing at all. Also, as the restaurant was not answering phone calls I placed to them, I could not get my food or talk to them about a refund. When I *did* get hold of the restaurant 2 days later, they told me I would need to contact Eatstreet for a refund. Is this the kind of "service" anybody wants? Compare this with DoorDash and it's easy to see why you should never use these guys. DoorDash refunds money or addresses problems with orders within minutes of contacting them, and doesn't try to make you go back and forth with the restaurant trying to negotiate getting your money back.

Order if you’re willing to eat your money for dinner…

Incredibly disappointed by recent experiences. I have had two orders cancelled with no explanation, after they should have already been delivered. Today I received the wrong meal in my delivery. I went to their website to address this and a pop up gave me the option of an account credit. I agreed, and it redirected me without giving me the option to create an account to credit. I reached out to customer service and the restaurant and was told by both there was nothing they could do. Do NOT waste your time ordering from here. I had to pay full price for what I ordered, despite receiving the wrong item with no compensation or replacement. I’ve had more orders go wrong than right and they make little to no effort to resolve their mistakes.
