Review summary
KIA has room for improvement based on customer feedback. Customers particularly appreciate service and professional, though some mention concerns about customer service and communication.
Kia Bolton absolute rubbish. Went in in March 2024 to buy a car but the system was down so promised a call back, and 16 months later it still never happened so I bought it somewhere else, now trying to BUY a service plan and promised a call from the service team, 7 days later still no call. Speak to Kia customer service and they send you to the dealer who never call back. If this is the service they offer when I am trying to buy something imagine how bad it would be if I had an issue. I have had 4 Kia's now and this will be my last one
DM Kieth Kia Leeds.
Absolute pleasure from ordering to picking up my new car.
Tony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and explained fully how the Motability Scheme works and how it would help me to purchase my new car.
He was instrumental in me choosing this route , as it had always worried me in the past.
Tony kept me informed regularly regarding when the car would arrive and when the adaptation work would be carried out.
The whole experience has been stress free and very straightforward .
I love the new Kia Sportage and would highly recommend the Leeds Kia dealership to anyone who wants an excellent buying experience.
I would have given them a 5 star review except for the fact that one person at the desk let them down .
I had a front camera replaced and when the work was don , the bumper was not put on straight . Had words with a certain individual that worked on the desk .
After trying to sort out the mess , I finally had a call from the service manager Bobbie !
He sorted it out with flying colours, excellent service ,polite to the point and extremely professional.
Hopefully the of his staff will take note of how it should be done .
Well done Bobbie. And thank you !
Today Monday 7th I walked into kia bristol to look at the price of a brand new picanto .I wandered around the showroom giving the salesmen plenty of time to acknowledge me AND NOTHING. I WONT BE BUYING A NEW CAR AT THIS DEALER.( shocking service) GO ELSEWHERE.
I’ve booked a Kia Sonet HTK plus white in colour on 25th Jan 2023 by paying a sum of INR 25000/- as booking amount to Rajesh Motors Udaipur. At the time of booking itself I’ve communicated to go with Alloy wheels option by paying additional INR 40000/ as asked by the sales associates. Full payment was made on 31st Jan 2023 and the delivery was scheduled on auspicious day i.e. 03rd Feb 2023.
At the time of taking the delivery, I found the car is being delivered to me without Alloy wheels and it was fitted with the steel rims wheels. I’ve brought this disappointment in concern to the sales personnel of the show room, which they mentioned that somehow the alloy wheels could not come with the car so you take the delivery now with ordinary wheels and we will change in couple of days. Which I agreed so. Later after approx. 3-4 days, the alloy wheels arrived and they replaced the wheels.
Now here to my surprised that the wheels that came with the vehicles (steel wheels) were not taken back by them by reducing the difference amount between the alloy and steel rims and asked me to take along the steel rims as scrap. Now here I wants to ask the KIA management that where was I wrong in this? When I’ve already communicated and paid all the money in advance to get alloy wheels vehicle then why the vehicle did not come with alloy wheels. In addition, the steel rims which were returned back to me as scrap (which were not) as all the four wheels are spotless and as good as new can be fitted to a new car by the company. Another surprise, the alloy wheels price mentioned on the packing boxes (which were forcibly given to me with the steel rims is Rs 7499 per wheel inclusive of all taxes manufactured in feb 2023 (It is clearly mentioned on the boxes, pics attached) so in that case the amount of all the four wheels comes to 7499*4=29996 whereas the amount charged to me was 40000 so it is not convincible. I have requested to the sales associates at the show room to refund me the balance amount and send back the steel rims to the company and they can be fitted to another new car which are under production but it was denied by them saying this is the issue between the production and dealers so we can’t take back.
Now I would want to ask the Kia management that where was I wrong? Part of my hard earn money went into drain. Firstly excess money was taken for the alloy wheel (40000-29996=rupees10,004/-) also the steel rims costs around 15000/- so total sum of INR 25004/- were extra taken from me which could have been easily accommodated.
This is a grave disappointment to me, which is continuously striking in my mind feeling like cheated by such a repeated company. I have two more cars i.e. Maruti and i2o but never had any disappointment as such. Therefore, this is my humble request to the Kia management to look into this unfair trade practice and give me a refund of INR 25000/- by taking back the steels rims. The steel rims are absolutely as good as new not a single jerk and are spotless can be quality checked at manufacturing unit and call can be taken by the competent authorities.
I would also like to mention here one more unfair trade practice that the show room is charging very high insurance premium as compared to the options available all around with the same of higher IDVs so this also should be looked into. I will request the other buyers too that before opting on the insurance part at the show room, pl check options available all around. You are not bound to take insurance from the show room. You can opt another option to insure your vehicle at the show room itself. The company charged to me a premium of INR 29000 with an idv 892050 where as I ve checked other options available all around on higher IDVs and approx. 9000 lower premium. Also would mention that at the show room docket they are mentioning insurance premium as 39497/- which is just double of what available in the market.
In the hope of a positive outcome from the KIA management
Mr. Rajneesh called up on my complaint but not ready to listen my concern. Also the management put the status of my complain as resolved but actually not and it is still open from my side.

Shockingly unreliable Kia Soul, it’s not covered 40,000 k and prior to two years old it’s spent months at my local dealer MS Car ( who to be fair are trying to sort).
New gearbox fitted to cure noise ( not that)
New engine ( cured noise)
Back one day, won’t charge..
Dealer replaced charging port on car ( not that )
Still at dealer and I live a long way so much hassle and cost buying fuel for the loan car, when charging is free at home.
Kia ..you are going to lose my long term loyalty.. ( 4 new cars in UK).
Kia Have no capacity for repairs in their garages they are just not interested I suppose because it is covered by warranty and they are making no money.
You may be the same as me and decided to purchase Kia due to their warranty. However, I have learnt the hard way that the company has no compassion or understanding when you have a fault. My car broke down nearly 2 weeks ago however the earliest date having contacted Kia HQ and 5 Kia local garages was the 13th March nearly three weeks later just to put the car onto the diagnostics machine not to fix. The car has been sitting at the garage Acorn Kia Burntwood since being delivered by Green Flag. Kia HQ or the garage will not offer a courtesy car even though I am a single parent and also require the car for work. They also will not connect the diagnostics earlier so that they can preorder the parts for the 13th of March they have stated this would then require another booking for the repair. It is true what they say you do not know anything about the company until you try to use them all happy with sales not with after sales support when they have no compassion or understanding. Just be careful if you are considering them they sell it as trouble-free motoring but this is not true.
If you had a company where the average day to even look at the car was 30 days you would add extra capacity into your service centres but not Kia only one of the 5 garages could see earlier than 30 days but still needed over 2 weeks.
I accept that there can be faults with all cars but it is how the company deal with those issues the car is less than 3 years old.
Kia Bury, purchased a vehicle and paid for delivery. Wasn’t transported down but hammered by the delivery driver arrived with both back wheels curb. Dealer didn’t care and wouldn’t fix. Received a video prior to sale showing in fantastic condition and they tried to claim they were already like it. Wouldn’t buy a carrier bag from them let alone another car!! Would expect better from a main dealer
I recently reserved a Kia Sportage 2 from Parks of Hamilton which I saw advertised on the Parks website. I contacted the Coatbridge Kia garage via a phone call and reserved the car and paid my reservation fee of £100. The car was then due to arrive by the Friday of that week and I was supposed to receive a phone call when it arrived to view it. I did not receive a call on the Friday to say it had arrived or was late. I called the Monday afterwards and was told I would receive a phone call later that day about what time to arrive to view the car. Later that day I received a phone call only to be told the car was not stamped for two years therefore it did not have its full Kia Warranty. On the website this was not advertised as this. It was advertised as having it. This resulted on me not getting the car as it would not have its full warranty.
After searching for a couple of days after that I found another Kia Sportage 2 advertised on the Parks website and I reserved this car. The advertisement stated that the car had heated seats. This is is one thing that I wanted in the car and I had spoken to the sales rep about it. The car was brought up from another branch and I got to view it on the Saturday 18th of February. When I came to view the car it was a miserable day and the car had not been cleaned, it had not been serviced or received its MOT. I was informed all of that would be done for collection on Monday 20th February if I wanted the car. I had a good look round the outside of the car to ensure no dents or scratches. A brief look at the boot space and a look through the window of the car to see inside. At this point I did not believe I had to inspect that the car would have heated seats as this was in the description. Just like I would not expect to check the car for blowers etc.
When I collected the car on the Monday and I drove away with the car I noticed that the handbrake was slack. When I arrived home I tested the handbrake further and found it was still too slack. At this point I noticed I could not find the heated seat button. I immediately called the Kia Garage in Coatbridge but could not get an answer as it was 10 min to closing time. I called several times the next day before I could get through. When I spoke to the sales rep they informed me they could fix the hand brake but there was nothing they could do about the heated seats. I informed them that you cannot advertise a car having features and sell it when it when the information is false. This is against the consumer rights act 2015. I was told I could speak to the branch manager when I brought the car in to have the hand brake fixed.
When I spoke to the branch manager on Friday 24th of February I was informed he could do nothing unless I had proof. I informed him in front of a witness that I purchased the car with the advertisement stating it had heated seats. When discussing cars available with you I mentioned heated seats and when I reserved the car I said I liked this one as it had heated seats and good boot space. At no point does a costumer believe they have to print off an Advertisement as proof. This was done in front of a witness also. I informed him this was the second mistake made with advertising of the Kia Sportage 2 as the last one I reserved stated it had a full service when it did not.
I informed him I am not happy with this and wish to return the car as it was sold with wrongful information if nothing could be done. He informed me I cannot do this as it is a cash sale. This is not the case. If the car was purchased off premises by phone or online I can return the car. The car was reserved off premises and the car was advertised wrongly which is a breach of the consumers right act.
I was then told to take the matter further as he could not do anything.
I extremely unhappy with the customer service of Parks and that I was sold a car that was wrongly advertised.
Have a problem with the engine management light coming on in My 6 month old Kia Niro, was told by the service manager they couldn’t look at it for 4/5 weeks , asked what I’m supposed to do in the mean time or would they provide a courtesy car was told there’s a 4 week wait for one .
My car is 6 months old with 4k miles on the clock, I paid £36,000 for the car and expected a better service .
Advice was to ring RAC
Rang Kia RAC 4 1/2 hr wait
Don’t waste your hard earned money at this dealer KIA BLETCHLEY , once they have your money there not interested. Customer care at the service dept based on this and two other previous experiences is non existent
Kia, crewe, acorn group
Tried to charge £1000+ labour to fit a radiator and £481 for a radiator to which i said no way the guy said its over 10 hours labour and im getting a good deal, got another acorn garage to fit radiator and give me a courtesy car for a grand total of £343 including labour and the radiator total time to remove and fit a radiator 1h 45mins....
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS BUNCH OF CONMEN.
The worst first 300 miles have driven with Kia. Bought my third Kia Ceed from ,Lloyd Kia Carlisle with 9000 miles. Waited few weeks for the car to be prepared to collect. Was told the car in ideal condition . When started driving home horrible vibration came from front wheels. The wheel steering was wobbling like I was driving 25 years old car. So drove straight to the local garage when got home to check 21 registration car with only 9000 miles. So...all wheels were not balanced...alignment and tracking were horrible. Each wheel faced different direction. Back brake discs completely damaged. Like car has been driven 50 000 miles. What a disappointment. Booked already full car inspection in the independent garage. What a poor experience from dealer which been introduced as reliable family business dealer....to continue...Next day defects...the roof was cheap repainted...Still 5 dents visible in daylight...bonet replaced and painted...not genuine Kia...drivers side doors left side frame repainted...so...all these signs show that the car in some way has been damaged and has been selling without any category. So...I had around 500 pounds expenses for traveling, fixing car canceling insurances. Not to mention stresses. That is my experience dealing with Carlisle Kia. And finally...the car still for sale...when the car was returned it had over 10 000 mile on speedometer.Dealer sells with 9000 miles + on speedometer So...nice professional cheating...just in case...car registration PY21RYB .
HENDY KIA, PORTSMOUTH - This has been a complete joke from beginning to end!!! Firstly they messed me around with payments which caused a financial distress, they then told me I had a service plan for the whole lease, this was incorrect but was fixed after a call to the dealership.
Then in less than a year the gearbox went wrong, I had a great deal of difficulty getting a like for like hire car from them. Eventually this happened but again after much stress. They had the car for 4 months for the repair and their level of communication was appalling. If I had not called them, there would have been none at all.
I finally got the car back in October and about a month ago they said I needed a service on the car. This was booked 2000 miles over due as I had been very busy. I received a call today to say that they want to do two services in one day!!!! Apparently, despite the fact that there are over 7000 miles left till the next service they felt they should complete two in one day!!
I will absolutely NEVER EVER use Kia again, they are a total shambles!!!!
Untrustworthy incompetent Ken Brown Motor fealership
Well , hard to believe this Ken Brown dealership and sales executive Salbi . Verbal confirmed purchase agreement with him on Suzuki Vitara awaiting payment details from him .Hours later no word , phone him again said he’d come back . No phone call but a cowardly suspicious email say sold sold the car 😡😡😡😡 Stay away and don’t trust a word they say. Looks like old adage never trust a used car salesmen applies to this dealership !
