Worst company ....

I had the worst moving experience imaginable with this company. From start to finish, it was a nightmare marked by unprofessionalism, poor communication, unexpected costs, and significant delays. First, they slapped on extra fees that were never mentioned during the initial quote. What was supposed to be a straightforward $4000 move ballooned to over $6200 because of vague "additional volume space requirements" they failed to explain. When I asked for the reason, they were dismissive and unhelpful, acting like I was the problem for questioning it. Communication was practically nonexistent. They outsource to 3rd party and didn’t confirm the pickup time until the night before. 3rd party were paid 60% of my cost. So they didn't pick up all my stuff and asked for more $1300. They asked for delivery date and gave them. They never delivered or called to explain why. The reason they gave because I gave them city name and I told them that when they will call for delivery, I will give th address. They said, it will take another 2-3 weeks to receive our stuff. They didn’t even offer an apology, let alone compensation. This company’s unprofessional attitude and complete disregard for customer satisfaction are unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and money—go with literally anyone else. I wish I had.

Please don make a mistake of booking…

Please don make a mistake of booking with this company. Very poor and uncourtious customer service.After booking they will hand you over to some other mover and you are at their mercy. Incase an item is lost, forget about the recovery. The compensation offered is another joke.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Please please please go with any other moving company. I am a young woman who was moving alone and thought a moving company would make my life easier… coastal moving did the opposite. The price ended up being twice what was estimated and I didn’t add any extra items, they price based on cubic ft in the truck NOT by number/size of items. They broke a bunch of my furniture and boxes that said “FRAGILE” and “Glass” were absolutely destroyed. They gave me a horrible time about just getting a receipt and the form to claim their insurance. The movers sexually harassed me and left a bunch of trash behind for me to clean up during pick up and delivery. One of the managers, Jacob was super rude on the phone, only a couple people in customer service were actually helpful. I’m pretty sure this company is a scam, again please use any other moving service but this one!

Coastal Moving Services was a lifesaver…

Coastal Moving Services was a lifesaver during our recent relocation. Their team was not only professional but also incredibly kind and understanding. They packed, loaded, and unloaded everything with extreme care. We moved across state lines, and nothing arrived broken. Very impressed with their punctuality and service. Highly recommend for anyone needing dependable movers.

Please please do not go with coastal…

Please please do not go with coastal moving services. They deployed deceptive tactics to attract customers and then increased the price right before the move with their so called “QA call”. I hope justice will be served in the near future on this conspiracy and stop them from scamming normal consumers. I am one of the customers who did accurate inventory of my belongings and yet in the called QA call, they twisted my arms by changing the price and arguing about things that are 100% erroneous. I quoted king size mattress with bed frame and headboard and the QA guy who claimed that he is the owner of the company said that was a normal frame. He changed the word to wood frame and added $2000 to the original quote. The inventory did not change much but my price went up. He was rude to me and said he will review video recording to validate the facts but never got back to me. Please be alert with this scam.

Not a moving company...they are a broker

Coastal Moving Services is not a moving company—they are strictly a broker. They subcontract moves to third-party carriers—ours was handled by Loadrans LLC—leaving us with little control and communication after signing the contract. Despite providing detailed photos and accurate measurements of our furniture well in advance, the quote we received from Coastal was significantly underestimated. On moving day, the final cost ballooned to nearly three times the original estimate, with zero explanation. Because our move occurred on a Sunday, contacting the company was effectively impossible. The moving service dispatched by Coastal—Loadrans LLC—delivered a substandard experience: Multiple items were lost Numerous pieces arrived damaged Do your research and find AN ACTUAL MOVING COMPANY with positive reviews.

I had no idea they were a broker firm…

I had no idea they were a broker out of Florida Palm Beach firm for movers. They sold the job to a company called Loadran out of Colorado. When Michael picked up the phone he sounded so nice.....but all that glitters is not gold!!!! Was moving a small apartment from Denver to Orlando was given a quote of $2245 ok I agreed to that. Was told by Michael there would be boxes available for $10.00 extra if needed, so I didn't not feel there was a need for us to go crazy looking for boxes. He said everything would be good to go and could haul up to 30 boxes. Well the big day came the company LoadRams 1 star also if that shows up. No habla English!!! Now I'm in Florida my son is in Denver they said "no way can we move this for that much money 😮 we need another $1200 I flipped they said Coastal will take off $200 and Load Rams take off $200 I would owe $800 more, what could I do so I paid the extra $800. They had no boxes!!!! And didn't take everything. 🤬🤬. So much stuff was left behind I was heartbroken. NO ONE cares!!! So my son had to actually give stuff away. And put in the trash. I'm sick. So now I have no idea of what is even coming home to Florida today is 7/28/25. On Friday 7/25/25 I received an email of balance due of another $987.86, on Sunday I received a call from the mover guy Chris arrogant as the rest of them says you owe $3100 I said "no I don't I owe $987.86" he says "straighten it out with Coastal" called right away James answers he sucked horrible customer service. Passing it on and on and on, I get no where. I start again calling first thing Monday morning 8/28/2025 talked to Jay, Tatiana, Ryan, all sucked to start off the day. Got no where again. Now I'm not sure if the delivery is coming Monday evening or Tuesday morning and still no confirmation that they have straightened the money situation out. Aden was good finally someone good he confirmed the price and said he would contact the moving company, a while later I called Chris he said " no one has gotten in touch" by this point since the first time I called i have spoke with Michael, Eric, Danny, Ryan, Larry, Rachael, James, Aden, Jay and Tatiana I think the whole customer service team which all sucked was horrible. Now it is Monday 7/28/2025 5:18 PM was just on hold for 40 minutes with Rachel where she at least is trying. She says I'm going to have to call u back I can't get any answers. All I can say is stay away for your own sanity stay away

If you want a team that treats your…

If you want a team that treats your belongings like their own, these are your people. They were fast, courteous, and didn’t waste time. Everything was well-organized, and the truck was loaded with precision. Great value for great service.

Coastal is incompetent

Coastal botched our volume quote, and were so vague about our move details we had to contact the hired freight companie's unlisted dispatch # to gain any timeline at all. They left our stuff in southern California for over 10 days and didnt communicate any information the entire 3+ weeks it took for us to get our delivery. The agent quoted us $6k, we paid $10k. He said the delivery would, not should, take 5-6 days in transit w a 2 day window at the front end and 3 day window at the back end (10-11 days), it took 22 days. When we asked for help they ignored us. When we complained and asked for restitution they repeatedly sent us copies of our contract with uncaring dismissal. In hindsight, i wish i had hired a freight company myself, booked a partial container, and hired movers at each end. By my estimate, it wouldve saved us $3k and spared us 3 weeks of air matresses, paper plates and disrespect. Also, i suspect their batch of "anonymous reviewer" 5 star reviews are false and they wrote them themselves.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Coastal Moving Company and would not recommend them for long-distance moves. From the start, there was a serious lack of communication. I was given inaccurate information at the time of signing the contract, and I had to initiate every single point of contact just to find out what was happening with our move from South Carolina to New York. What was especially frustrating was that I was never informed that Coastal Moving Company would not be the actual movers. Instead, a completely different company showed up on moving day, something I had no advance notice of. I was also assured that our furniture would travel on a single truck with no transfers or additional drivers, but that turned out to be false as well. When I tried to contact the original salesperson to get some clarity or resolution, my calls and messages were never returned. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially for something as important and costly as a long-distance furniture move. Save yourself the stress, look elsewhere for a more transparent and communicative moving company.

I was blown away by how seamless…

I was blown away by how seamless everything went. The movers were organized, fast, and had great attitudes the whole day. Even offered tips on setting things up once we arrived. Highly recommend to anyone planning a long-distance move.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever! I gave them an $1100 down payment, and the original estimate was an additional $1200 on top of that. Day of, they more than doubled the price. Communication was very poor, they didn’t answer phone calls, and when they did, it was one snotty person who offered zero customer service. The movers missed the FOUR HOUR window they provided. Showed up 2 hours late, no apology, nothing. The person on the phone said “they’re arriving on the day scheduled” like that should be acceptable for a 103 mile move. They put my furniture on wet grass. They rolled an antique desk end over end multiple times to move it, damaging it in the process. They taped my living room furniture to the point I have adhesive that I can’t remove. They put my beige furniture in a dirty truck and soiled the fabric to the point I can’t clean it. They were careless, shoving boxes around, dropping them, placing them upside down. Then they had the nerve to look for a tip, at 8:00 at night, with damage and dirt, when they should have been done at least 4 hours earlier. Biggest scam I’ve ever encountered. Please save yourself the headache and extortion fees.
