American Water Resources Reviews

AWR does not provide a sewer protection plan but rather a sewer cleanout plan and the 24 hour claim means they answer calls for 24 hours but service is only provided from8;00am to 5;00pm. It took them over 24 hours to respond to my issue and they denied my claim to resolve the rust build up that caused the blockage telling me I should read the fine print. What a sham! It tells a lot when the response to my review is the same given to any negative review they receive. The same deflective response i received when I complained directly to the office of the president of AWR. They just don’t care!

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT get sewer, plumbing or waterline insurance from this company. My husband and I signed up for their Water Line, Sewer Line and In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program in May 2024. We repeatedly asked them to email our policy with all the terms and conditions. They never sent it. Since May we have been unable to login to their website. Each time we ask about it they say they are having technical issues and their IT department is working to fix it. You can sign up no problem but you can't login to your account for 6 months. Now we have a plumbing issue with our heater. You can't contact them by phone because the recorded message says the hold time is 20 hours. We used chat to speak with an agent to file a claim. We sent pictures of the issue and they determined it was covered. They said they would dispatch a plumber and that our fee (or deductible) would be $50. We were told that IF the plumber determined that the issue was not covered, we would be refunded the $50. The plumber came out and told us our leak is not covered and further shocked us by saying this company repeatedly charges their customers $50 service fees fully knowing that that issue is not covered. They just scam you for $50 and don't fix the problem. Since we never received our policy we were not aware that they even charge to send a technician. When we reached out for a refund we were told that the claims agent who filed our claim gave us false information and that the $50 is non-refundable. They wanted to send a different plumber for a second opinion and charge us another $50. What a scam! We immediately canceled our policy and hope they don't charge our credit card next month for the monthly premium. If they do we'll have to dispute it. Getting a policy from American Water Resources was a costly mistake.

Did NOT sign up for autorenewal. Was autobilled anyway. It took me over 2 hours to cancel. The initial call said hold time was 30 minutes so I approved a call back that promised to hold my place in line. I got the call back an hour later. THEN I proceeded to wait another 45 minutes on hold before hanging up. A chat was no better. They just want to SELL SELL SELL, and they are following a script (Which my service person PASTED into the chat - including directions on how to sell me!). The chat took 35 minutes. After waiting, for 30 they asked if I still wanted to cancel. Really??? Still waiting for the refund.

Very pathetic service. I have the water, sewer and in-home plumbing coverage for the last one year with AWR. Recently had an issue with the water backing up so raised a claim 3851095. Personnel from ULTIMATE DRAIN CLEANING AND SERVICE LLC showed up and were not able to fix the issue on day 1. After couple of days another guy showed up and did a clean-up to give a temporary relief and promised to do a follow-up cleanup using a machine that would cut the root growth in the pipe(causing the water backup). But to my shock the claim was closed. When I called AWR to follow-up they said I will have to raise another claim. So the main issue is still there and AWR is not ready to fix in spite of having a complete coverage.

Shane did a great job on our kitchen sink. He arrived on time, and did a great and clean job! Very professional! Thank you Shane

Courtesy, professional technician.

The representative was clear and helpful. She provided me with information that was pertinent. She guided me through the process and ensured my service request would be handled. She contacted Bailey's for service and I was immediately contacted. And Bailey's arrived shortly after I made contact. I am very pleased with the process.

on time, pleasant, knew what to do

I really like that this time they believe me when I said I hadva back up. Last time I had to pay rooter’s rooter to. Do the job. I also had to write to the president of the company letting him know of the bad experience. The guides were ok . Did their job and left. All is ok. Thanks

I canceled my exterior and interior protection because it isn’t worth the paper it is wrote on . I am not happy at all about the way it was all handle.from American water resources.I would not recommend it to no one.

On line access has not been restored for Americsn Water Reourdes and I have spent multipke hours attempting to resolve via c/s

Michael did a great job, solved backup, explained and showed that it was cleared.

Knowledgeable, prompt employees, 10 stars!

They were not able to serve me because they don't fix fixtures

BEWARE ALL CUSTOMERS! This company will send you an unprofessional plumber and flood your house with sewer water and just leave you high and dry with the expense to clean all the neighborhoods shit up by yourself. On November 2, 2024 they sent a plumber to my house whom flooded it with sewage and destroyed my home, my furniture and left me traumatized!! I lost everything, the plumber was MPD Plumbing, they are horrible, they left with not a care in the world what they did! I am at a great loss! It was definately something that did not have to happen!!

Was taken care of very quickly and clean

Quick response to my trouble call. Very professional service. Answered my questions in a satisfactory manner.

The crew, working through the night, made a big job easy by always communicating with us and being thoughtful in how they did the work and left the final job. Thank you, all the folks at American Water!
