Avoid they can’t even give you an update taken 2 money out of my account

Dodgy

I waited 6 weeks for Zoro tu fulfill my order, getting periodic updates that the order was on track. The day the order was finally supposed to ship, I got an e-mail saying they could not get the part I ordered and they cancelled the order. Stay away!

Shipping time is unbelievably slow

Shipping time is unbelievably slow, snail mail speed. If you need it by Christmas I recommen ordering now ,in June to receive it. They say two days shipping, wrong.

Not So "Aweome"

The Zoro "Awsome Customer Service Team" cancelled my order for no apparent reason and didn't tell me. I only found out 5 days later when I asked via 3 emails!

BAD INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND REFUND POLICY

I tried to purchase a couple of NAS devices. After I paid for it and received an email confirming my purchase, I got a second email saying they're out of stock and deleted the purchase. Why did they go ahead with the sale if there was no inventory? They say it'll take 10 business days for the charges to come off my credit card. If they canceled the sale, how come the charge stays on?Shouldn't they take appropriate steps to remove the charges immediately? Essentially what the're doing is using our money interest free for 10 days. My gut says they accept all sales without checking the inventory. If they have the merchandise, they'd ship it. If not, they get to enjoy the customers' money interest free for up to 10 business days. Either way they come up ahead and the customers are left frustrated.

I have purchased many items from Zoro…

I have purchased many items from Zoro and for the most part I am happy. They usually have good prices and often send out discount codes that are really good. They also have a very broad product selection. However their website is really bad and very poorly organized. If you know the exact manufacturer part number you can usually find it through search, but if you just try to search for the name it often does not show up. The problem is usually do to how the items are labeled and categorized. Really really bad. Customer service can be excellent or horrible. Returns are usually easy which is good. However, they blame FedEx for things that get damaged in shipping even though it was due to poor packaging. Metal stock purchases have been very poorly packaged and I have tried to give feedback to their warehouse, but they just respond that they can't do that and there is no option to give feedback. Will I order from Zoro again? Most likely, but if it is important I will order from somewhere else.

THIRD PARTY VENDOR

I placed an order at Zoro website on May 09 2025 vacuum cleaner that their website show is available after few phone calls finally received my order was a wrong item I asked to return. they ask me to send pictures as a proof that they will submit to third party vendor which is something that I wasn't expected. Also asked the customer services to call their third-party vendor and making sure they have the correct vacuum she put me on hold and reply yes; they will send me the correct vacuum this was on May 19, on June 09 I received the same vacuum. After I call customer services and explain the issue, they tell me that I have to wait 5 more days to contact the vendor to resolve in the meantime my credit card was charged I have a vacuum that never order, and Zoro website still show that they have the vacuum available. I tell the customer services to report to the third-party vendor but look like they don't care

Extremely poor customer experience

Extremely poor customer experience. Free shipping and same day shipping terms are completely obfuscated. Like everyone I buy stuff online every day and have never seen such level of weird false advertising. Will go with their reputable counterpart in future.

Customer service doesn't care....

I purchased nearly $4,000 worth of Nordfab quick clamp ducting from Zoro. It was nearly all damaged during the packaging process. They shipped the ducting by wrapping it tightly together with plastic wrap and leaving it unprotected. It arrived out of round with numerous dents. The manufacture specifically states NOT to use ducting with dents or out of round. I brought this to customer service's attention and they couldn't careless. This is a 100% safety issue. This ducting is used for high vacuum industrial applications. If someone were to use these products in the condition Zoro ships them in it would cause them to leak or even implode. Since the Customer Service agent didn't care I asked that it be escalated to management. Nope, they just said "Sorry" with their canned response. I wanted nothing from them other than for them to acknowledge the problem and do something to ensure the safety of their customers.

Extremely disappointed and frustrated!

The item that I needed was for a project underway, so I called Zoro.com and spoke to a woman to verify they had the item in stock and could ship promptly. She checked (took a minute or two) and then told me, "Yes we have them and they will ship within two days of you placing an order." So I ordered immediately. After a week of waiting, not only had they not shipped, but the website said my order was "Still Processing". I called and without mentioning my order, I asked another woman about availability of this item. She took a minute or too and I heard keys clicking in the background, and she said (as if scripted), "Yes we have them and they will ship within two days of you placing an order." This was a bold lie, obviously. I asked her then about my order and she seemed flustered and couldn't find or provide any updated on shipping, etc. I asked to cancel the order and she said it will take TWO DAYS FOR A COMMITTEE TO APPROVE THE CANCELLATION. In the meantime, I needed to order from somewhere else to keep my project on track. This is a horrible company that lies to their customers. 6/24/25 - this is a reply to Zoro’s reply (below) - what a joke! I provided all the detail you need. Look at other reviews too! Just stop LYING to your customers, it’s that simple!

poor customer service on replacement policy.

I ordered a vanity top for a bathroom renovation in November 2024. The vanity top was delivered to my driveway on a pallet. We moved the entire package on pallets inside the garage as we were not ready for it yet. Early April 2025 bathroom renovation was ready for the vanity top to be installed. We went out to unboxed it and bring it in and discovered it had two cracks. I contacted zoro with the entire story numerous times and they kept repeating that it was too late and passed their 30 day policy for returns or refunds. I am confident that this vanity top was either cracked in the warehouse or was damaged in transit. It was literally untouched in my garage. They are standing by the 30 day but how could I have known? I did not open the box because I was not ready to install the vanity top. Saying they checked with their supplier and it can’t be done, not because there aren’t vanity tops out there, but because they are sticking to their 30 day policy, which I must have overlooked. I was not asking for a refund of money. I was asking for a vanity top without a crack. Extremely poor customer service and unwilling to work with me. Now negative reviews will continue and they have lost a customer.

Returning defective item under warranty

Want to return a defective item good luck! Purchase a water heater from them and it broke after 6 months of use. Contacted vendor and had plumber take a look. Error codes confirmed, issues confirmed and priced out the repair. Plumber said might not fix the issue as the board is defective. But the only option that cost me under $1000 is to send it back. So I contact Zoro for a solution. They said that I was in the return window. Told me they will have a shipping label for me after reviewing it. Then a week past still no hot water and no contact. I contact them instead, was told that they need more info and which I provided. So they ask for another 24 hours. I gave that 48 hours and didn't hear from them. Now they are saying they need another week to review it and contact the vendor which would've been done at this point. I done that for them and provided the case number. No solution yet. Never will buy from them again. I could've just buy a new water heater and save myself the frustration of this matter.
