I use them frequently for hotel…

I use them frequently for hotel discounts. but I stayed at the Stroudsmoor country inn, in the Poconos, more specifically Stroudsburg, PA, and didnt have the best experience and let people know the truth about th place and how the pool is old looking, needs to be repainted, water is green, said beds were comfy in suites, but if you get sick and need to leave a day early, they wont refund you, the breakfast has no hot food, and is much smaller on weekdays, and they place really only caters to weekend wedding with loud music and they say they cant guarantee a quiet stay. its owned by the pirone family. so dont expect normal hotel industry wide things like refunds for a dirty room, or if you get sick and need to leave a day early, or anything like that. the big bucks at his place are made at weekend weddings, the hotel part is just a side hobby. I lost $300 bc they wouldn't refund the money and we had to leave 1 day early bc daughter was sick. jacuzzis are very old barely have any force from jets. place showing its age. anways, Travelocity did call them and try to get refund, but Travelocity customer service you can only chat online, no email, no phone. I wont use them again. ESPECIALLY because they deleted my entire review of the place bc it was brutally honest. and they are just a travel agent and want $, not honestly. dont use Travelocity and dont stay at Stroudsmoor country inn. I am warning you. and the buffet is way overpriced isnt even really good and you can go to red lobster and get the feast for 4 peoples spend less get better food.

Do Not Book with Travelocity

We booked a package via Travelocity. The package included a roundtrip flight as well as a hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel was not reachable given the late arrival of our flight and the impossibility of reaching the last ferry on time in order to reach our hotel. I emailed and called the hotel to inquire about the transfer. The hotel never replied to my email but the hotel representative I spoke to on the phone confirmed that we would not be able to reach the ferry in time to check into our hotel. I spent 8 hours messaging with and calling Travelocity in an effort to cancel the hotel and book a hotel that would actually be reachable once we landed. After a full day of back and forth conversation, Travelocity stopped replying to my text messages. Once I called, the Travelocity representative called the hotel and promised that I would receive a waiver/refund due to the "invalid transfer." She also told me to go ahead and book a new hotel which I did. The day of travel I received a message from Travelocity saying that they were unable to process my refund despite having promised it and despite my having booked a new hotel under their advisement.

Run away from them

Run away from them. They care only about the money. If anything happens, it's your problems....I book with them for a round trip with air transat and porter. Plane was canceled with no information, no voucher, no hotel. I wasn't able to get a refund. They said it's not our fault, it's air transat. Then air transat said it's not us,it's porter. Then porter said it's not us,it's air transat. And travelocity said the same, it's not us it's them, but we are going to give a refund....it's B.S ,no refund, no help, nothing. My husband had to drive 14 h total( 7 for go and 7 for coming home) for picking me at the airport. I wasn't the only one passenger left SO, RUN AWAY FROM TRAVELOCITY, AIR TRANSAT AND PORTER. Don't get screwed by them. At the end, you don't save anything by booking with them.

INCURED EXTRA COST BECAUSE OF THEM!!

Half my flight was canceled due to weather. I was stuck in Miami. When I called to try and see if I could change my pick up location from MCO to MIA or just get a rental for the 3 hr drive from MIA to MCO and pick up my original car there, he canceled my whole booking for the rental car saying I wouldn't be charged. I had to rebook a new rental for the week which cost way more (about double) because of different drop off location from pickup. and on top of that they STILL charged me for the original rental because i was under the 6 hr window. I don't travel alot but I am upset with whole experience.

Save money by going elsewhere

Save money by going elsewhere. Such a bad experience getting sucked into a vortex of dishonest unhelpful agents with purpose to screw you out of your money. Getting a credit back from cancelled flight during Covid was a nightmare and ticket ended up costing me 3 times more than booking flight directly myself with AC. Horrible company. No wonder low score. Shameful!

Avoid booking through this company

Avoid booking through this company. I mistakenly booked the same trip twice within a matter of moments of one another. Travelocity wasted weeks of my time raising to help, they didn't even fulfill their own terms about only charging me for the first night if I canceled. They charge me full price for two trips, this is street informing them of the error near instantly. The hotel manager repeated they had no money from me and to speak with Travelocity. Travelocity said the same about the hotel. I'm not sure who was lying but someone was unfortunately. This was my first time traveling with them and I will never do so again. I turned up for the stay (didn't cancel the second trip), but was only given one key :)

Exorbitant Fee for Flight Change - A Disappointing Experience with Travelocity, an Expedia Company

Today, I encountered a situation that left me both shocked and deeply disappointed. I needed to change one leg of my round trip flight from Las Vegas to São Paulo, a seemingly simple request that turned into an exorbitant financial burden. Travelocity, operating under the umbrella of Expedia, charged me an outrageous fee of USD 4,127.00 for this change. This amount is not just steep; it's unprecedented in my many years of travel. Upon confronting Travelocity about this issue, I was met with a rather dismissive explanation, attributing the astronomical fee to Delta Airlines' policies. However, it's widely known among seasoned travelers that travel agencies, including Travelocity, often receive refunds or compensations for such changes from the airlines. This leads me to question the integrity of their business practices and whether profit is being prioritized over customer satisfaction and fairness. The lack of transparency and accountability in this situation is alarming. As customers, we place our trust and our hard-earned money in these companies, expecting them to act in our best interest. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but. It's disheartening to see a company like Travelocity, backed by the reputable name of Expedia, engage in practices that seem to exploit rather than assist its customers. I urge potential customers to approach Travelocity and Expedia with caution. Your travel plans and finances might just be at the mercy of hidden policies and fees that serve the company far more than they serve you. To express my frustration and warn others, I am initiating a hashtag campaign: #ExpediaExploits and #TravelocityTrap. It's time for these companies to be held accountable, to treat their customers with the respect and fairness they deserve.

To be honest this company could be…

To be honest this company could be possibly ok if only it stated clearly it’s prices are in US dollars, if only it offered a refund for travel insurance if a flight is cancelled, and number three if only it communicated clearly as soon as flights are cancelled by airlines. As it was, I had to call to get an update and then had to rebook through the airline while at same time being told the refund for cancelled flight would take a week to process. If I had booked directly w airline I wouldn’t have to pay again, I’d just use my credit. All in all it was just a stressful hassle to use this third party. Never again for me. I learnt my lesson that is for sure.

More of a hindrance than help

If you're thinking about booking a trip through Travelocity (or its parent company Expedia), I recommend that you re-think it. Mike’s and my experience with Travelocity, during a recent trip to Europe, gave me a thorough (and expensive) education on the shortcomings (to use a polite term) of this travel service. It's easy to be lured by the deals that Travelocity offers, but before you book, it's important to know a few things if your trip is interrupted or you need support with your itinerary: 1. Travelocity's primary communication option is online chat. There's no email option and no option to call them. If they absolutely are forced, they will call you, but you can never call them. And unfortunately, their representatives at global service centers often don't have sufficient communication skills to help resolve problems. 2. If something unexpected happens with your itinerary, Travelocity will do nothing to rectify the problem. They will simply tell you that you need to contact the airline or hotel on your own. And when you do, you will likely hear from the airline or hotel that you need to contact Travelocity, since you booked your ticket with them. It's a never-ending cycle of frustration that only stops when you give up. 3. If you attempt to mail a complaint to Travelocity, good luck finding them. Sure, they have addresses listed online, but when I mailed a letter of complaint to them, they merely returned it to sender but the envelope had been opened and put in a new envelope. Thankfully, we had travel insurance that should cover several thousand dollars of unexpected expenses when my itinerary was interrupted. We are waiting for that final settlement. And if you're lucky and your travels go smoothly, maybe your Expedia/Travelocity experience will be just fine. But please know you're rolling the dice on extra cost and extra stress, and your vacation may end with the nagging feeling that you've been had.

the cancelation policy means nothing. My cancelation policy said no show charge equal to one night stay, we were charged for the whole stay

Flight was canceled and we couldn't arrive at the hotel for the first night. Tried calling the hotel booked through Travelocity. Hotel said Travelocity needed to cancel the Hotel or we would continue to be charged for all 4 days we had been booked. I Called Travelocity they originally said we would be charged for the first night but later changed their mind and said we were being charged for the full 4 nights. Our cancelation policy stated no show penalty equal to one night hotel charge. they were notified before our stay started and they still charged us the full amount. The flight cancelation was not our fault. don't work with a travel company (Travelocity) who won't work with you when travel interruptions happen.

When finding any flights

When finding any flights, don’t go through any third party company. Just go to the actual airline website or use google for your search. Travelocity policies sucks and dealing with their customer rep also sucks. There’s always an excuse. They will tell you to contact the airline for anything they won’t give you even though you bought the flight ticket with them. Don’t use Travelocity or else you’ll regret it.

False advertising on pricing!

Travelocity has been nothing but a nightmare in the last few months! Every time you try to book anything with the price that is offered to you, it gets bumped up right before making the reservation! I have tried multiple times, different days, and times and they manage to increase your travel itinerary every time! Shame on you Travelocity! I will book another way……

Spam email

They sent me a email that said they have under $200 flights I checked immediately they don't have under $200 dollar flights. I called to ask what is going on and was told flight prices can change without notice. The amount of time between me getting the email and checking flight prices was 5 minutes. Travelocity is nothing but spam email and a dishonest company.

An absolute nightmare. You literally can not reach a human being unless you know every single detail of your flight and tell it to their supper annoying and unhelpful useless AI. WHY WOULD YOU NEED TO CALL IF YOU ALREADY HAD THE INFO???? The most expensive of all the booking services i've used. I will never ever ever ever use travelocity again.

rip off

There are a lot of extra costs that they don't tell you about. Making there "travel packages" worthless after the extra fees you end up having to pay it makes more sense to book directly with the vendors, the "travel packages" don't save you money and might actually end up costing you more.

Travelocity has the absolute worst…

Travelocity has the absolute worst customer service of all time. Worth it to spend even a little more to NOT book with them. We had a flight ready to book, hit book, and their site said "unable to book try again in a few moments". We called in after trying and getting the same error. In the 5 min it took to get an agent, the flight price had gone up over $100. They refused to honor the price from 5 min ago even with screenshots of their websites error. When asking for a supervisor, the first agent "dropped" the call after leaving us on hold and the second agent just refused to transfer us saying a supervisor would not do anything for us.

Read Carefully when Booking!

I booked my first trip through Travelocity yesterday. I went to book a car. None available. Went to book an Uber. None available. So, I go to my reservation and find out my airport is 500 miles from my hotel! I have traveled extensively. I have booked many trips through other sites. I have never, ever encountered this problem. If I hadn't caught this within 24 hours, I would have been responsible for payment. I had to cancel the hotel and the flight separately. I am livid. called Travelocity to make sure my trip was cancelled and the representative was argumentative and told me that the airline distance from the hotel was plainly obvious when booking. This was obviously incorrect. I will never use Travelocity again. I pity the people who book through them and don't catch things like this.
