Travelocity is a scam site!

Do not trust this site, they WILL rob you! I booked a return flight and rental car package from Brisbane to Auckland in Australian dollars. After the confirmation came through I got a message from my bank saying some unusual transactions had occurred so I checked and the first thing I saw was they'd charged me US dollars meaning I've effectively paid double what the package is worth had I gone through any other site. The 2nd thing was there were 2 other transactions from them that don't equate to anything I purchased in my package. My bank is investigating but said the money is gone. Now I've got the fun task of having my card cancelled and a new one issued and all the joys that come with that headache. They have no customer service to speak of either so I'm just hoping my over priced trip for my sister's wedding goes smoothly from now on. Avoid at all costs!!!!

Thanks for reviewing bunq. Do you shop from them often? You can review them again in 24 hours if you have a new experience. And you’re always welcome to update your latest review.

After 14 years of school and training, I was finally finishing up and found myself in a bit of a financial bind. I was completing my program in June and planned to have a little break before starting my first Attending job in September. I had worked some moonlighting shifts and saved up quite a bit. However, as time passed, I realized there were expenses I never considered such as COBRA insurance coverage and some other relocation fees. Luckily, I found Panacea while searching online for options to help resident/fellows/attendings transitioning. Though hesitant at first, a friend of mine also suggested this bank so I applied. The service was great and my Banker Alex was amazing — very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. He made the whole process easy and pain free and the money was deposited in less than 48hrs. When I tell you Panacea made my life so much easier and better, I mean it. The stress I was dealing with was immediately relieved and I was able to comfortably take my 2 month break between my medical training and working. I have opened up accounts with Panacea now because I love the support I receive from them. Thank you Pa

Ocean riveria pardise

Went all inclusive package to ocean riveria paradise in playa del carmen. Suppose to be a 5 star resort. Not even close. Been to playa over 40 times. This resort is a scam. Amities they say they provide you pay for aren’t available or aren’t there. They don’t Accomadation your reservation. Paid for a pool view room got a view looking at cement. Waited almost 2 days of a 9 day vacation to get the correct room. Had to replace the mattress total not good. The toilet had to be repaired 3 times. The casino was closed didn’t mention that. The bowling alley of 6 lanes only 3 worked 2 hour wait. The theater entertainment was the worst. Stayed like 10 min. Each time. The train that took you from one end to the other hardly available. But the Previage guest had several train to take back and forth that the regular guest couldn’t use. When most were empty. I addressed these issues to the front desk they preceded to turn my entry cards off so I couldn’t enter my room. When I had used it a hour earlier. Very rude to us which we are American. Worse all inclusive resort ever stayed at. More like maybe 2.5 star rating. Most people we talked to had the same feelings. Carlos meets you when you arrive he and Fernando are con artist. Offer you a lot so you go to there presentation. Than don’t follow up. Very pushy totally didn’t make us happy. Most generally I never write these reviews. We understand things happen but other Americans experienced the same thing. Enough said.

BEWARE - Not worth using Travelocity

Not worth using Travelocity. Once I finalized my trip and hit the Submit button, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a green pop-up message informing me “Good news the price of your trip has decreased from $ to lower $. Book now to secure this price". I immediately took a picture of the pop-up message to show my friends and hit the Submit button again to secure the lower price. Travelocity did not stand behind their statement. Even when I emailed the manager the picture with the green pop-up message, he stated because I didn’t have the entire picture, there is nothing that can be done. I wouldn't think I would have to take a picture of the entire screen to prove their pop-up message??? It is obvious that by looking at the URL, I am in the Checkout step. I thought they were a reputable company ~ Never using them again!

Customer service is absolutely worthless

I've used them for many, many years but after not helping me with a return flight, I'm out. They blamed United but United assisted me even though I made the mistake of going through Travelocity. NEVER. AGAIN. Or any Expedia affiliate. I'll be making reservations directly with airlines from now on.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company! As soon as there is a problem you are on your own. They have no call center, so you have to interact with a stupid chatbot. When an operator finallt picks up the conversation, it is even worse. The word reimbursement has no meaning for them, regardless of what they advertise when selling something.

Absolute con

Absolute con. Booked a 3 night "special deal"...all seemed OK - a pop-up box showed amount of deposit in AUD and I confirmed the booking. Then I received an email and the amount owing was very different. I contacted Travelocity immediately. They said that depending on availability at time of booking, prices can fluctuate!!! I argued if the special isn't available then they shouldn't be advertising it and I should not be expected to pay anything other than what displayed. They then advised the prices on their site are in USD. No where was this mentioned. In my experience, most good websites these days recognise where you are browsing and ask the currency you want to pay with. Given the pop-up box showed AUD I feel strongly misled into completing my booking completely unaware the prices were supposedly US dollar. Still trying to get confirmation that my booking has been cancelled and no money has been taken from my account.

Book direct, save the hassle.

I have issues twice now where the host or the company has cancelled reservation on me. When you call Travelocity they actually find reasons to not refund your Money. Most recently I had a car rental company refuse to rent to me because I declined their outrageous insurance fee because I had full coverage elsewhere and Travelocity refused to help leaving me stranded.

No refund. As per previous complaints Travelocity…

Sept 29. I have received a full refund. Sept 23 later in the day 4:16 pm Travelocity contacted me 5 mins ago informing me that they were now able to cancel and would refund me in 7-10 business days. I am hopeful that I will receive the refund. Morning Sept 23 As per previous complaints Travelocity was unable to refund me when I made a change from 4 nights to three night for a hotel room booked for mid November. They claimed they were unable to contact the hotel. I have used their service for many years and they certainly do not have a problem contacting the hotel when booking. Luckily I did not book my air and will do so directly with the airline.

I booked and paid for a room through Travelocity/Expedia

I booked and paid for a room through Travelocity/Expedia and tried to cancel the next day. It was very difficult to communicate with anyone at Travelocity/Expedia. The only real option was a chat bot. Travelocity said it was up to the hotel, Marriott. I called the hotel and they said they could do nothing because it was paid through Travelocity. I went back to Travelocity and they again said it was up to the hotel. I just think this horrible customer service. I would consider it a scam. They trick consumers into booking online with advertising that proclaims they have great service and better pricing. I did purchase the travel insurance, but they create a very cumbersome process to follow. Maybe I get my money back that way. I would not recommend to anyone to book anything through Travelocity or Expedia. Go directly to the hotel and airline to make a reservation. They don't care about customers.

fraudulent information

Travelocity withheld information about duplicate flights are under law due a refund, and told me I had to cancel and get a credit. Didnt give me any other option. I did not know about this policy until I canceled. Agent withheld this information from me, so now, no refund and the credit will never be used. must be same flight and same people flying! rip offs!!!

Currently on hold with Travelocity…

Currently on hold with Travelocity customer support. Received an email this am saying “the airline” changed my flight. It was changed to an unacceptable time as the flight is the same day as disembarking from a cruise. After 2 hours and several lies they are supposedly processing a refund! I will NEVER use Travelocity again. Do not recommend!!

Travelocity theft and deception

I purchased online trip with travelocity and it included a car, flight, resort so when we got to Dominican republic we went to pick up car From Economy Car rental the lady at the desk stated that I would have to pay 211.00 dollars for the car and they would refund my 296.17 that I paid before we left the states. So I refused to pay the 211.00 mainly because I had already paid . So lady at desk never gave us the vehicle that was already paid for and said she would make sure we got our refund. Now when we got back to the states we still had no refund so I called travelocity and told them the story 3 days later they said they couldn't give our money back. So no car on our vacation we had to pay to get around to site see and no refund or credit to use at a later time. I sent the money to travelocity so the refund should come from them . Never trust travelocity 😡👎
