Travelocity deceived us

Travelocity deceived us. We had a cancelled LATAM flight due to COVID-19 and we wanted to get a refund. Travelocity said we need to contact the airline to get it. But LATAM tells us Travelocity still holds the money and they can't do anything about. We demanded to talk to a customer service supervisor and Travelocity promised one will call us but they never happened either. This went on months by now. This company's practice is not acceptable and it would be best to avoid any transaction with this company whatsoever. I will certainly do that.

1night cancellation refused

When booked 2 nights at Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront IHG Hotel it was not a minimum 2 nights package mandatory specified. We asked to cancel a night but they refused saying that there is a minimum 2 nights booking. We canceled both nights and they charged us $233.

Doesn't Honor Advertised Prices

I tried to book a cruise at the advertised rate. As I got deeper in the booking process, the rate suddenly jumped up $258 per person. This was not an extra fee for taxes. That was another additional fee that I understood I would have to pay. I requested that a consultant call me, and I was initially informed that they couldn't find the advertised rate. I went through the process with the consultant, and it was confirmed that the rate I saw is being advertised, but not honored.....very frustrating!! I even saw the rate again on Expedia's website. My wife and I were looking forward to this cruise, and I was finally ready and able to book it. For an extra $516, this won't happen. I wish that Travelocity and Expedia would honor their advertised prices.

This is the worst company ever

This is the worst company ever. I spent over 2 hours with the “virtual agent” which kept saying “give me a few more minutes” and “I’m having some system update.” I will NEVER use this site again and I warn anyone else from using it in the future. Horrible.

I purchased a plane ticket for 513.04…

I purchased a plane ticket for 513.04 They informed me that there would be an extra charge of 385.98 because of a flight error. They said they would cover that cost because it was there fault. I look at my cc statement today and not only was I charged the 385 98, but they also charged me 895.99 when I called they said they had no idea where this charge came from. But if I dispute with my bank the ticket will be canceled. So now I am out 895 for a flight. Never again.

Do not use them!

Do not use them!! Save yourself the headache and book directly with the airline.. I had 2 flights booked with them that I had to cancel due to the pandemic and the airline will say.. we are happy to give you a refund, but you have to do it thru Travelocity And then Travelocity says they follow the airlines guidelines but they don’t have the capability to process refunds or the airlines had different rules then .. it’s complete bs and I’ve been bounces around with the blame game wasting countless hours and lost hundreds of dollars

Be very

Be very, very careful when using this site. The infraction(s) they committed against me are of recent (and my bank is fighting), and their gross misconduct is too much to go into. You’ve simply been warned.

Travelocity Agents collude with airlines to steal money.

A scam. I had credits from previously canceled flights and I tried to apply them. I looked up the flights (but I did not book them), then I called a Travelocity Agent. The Agent told me that he could not apply the credits because the flights were not reserved yet. So then I went ahead and booked the flights with a car rental package. Then I called a Travelocity Agent again asked for the credits to be applied. The Agent said that there was a problem because I booked the car rental with it. So if I call and ask ahead of time, the Agent can't do it. If I book and call the Agent afterwards, the Agent can't do it. Then the Agent just hung up on me. I tried and called again, and the Agent just hung up on me after I explained the situation. When I called in the beginning the Agent could have said, "let me book the flights for you Sir. I can get the credits applied that way." What are the Agents for? It was clear what my intent was. Why can't they help? So now I have a trip booked that I can't get out of, and the Airlines get to keep the $365 that they wrangled through cancellation credits. I will never use Travelocity again!

Theft

Googled last minute hotels in pouring rain got pushed to Travelocity sight his search got one booked it . Went to hotel had no reservation for that night but had one 20 days later . Asked if I could cancel they said contact Travelocity. You can’t contact them . This is an obvious scam that they make a fortune off of . This company is horrible and a pure example that these companies should not be aloud to block you from contacting hotel .

Horrible customer service, no refunds as promised!!!

Horrible customer service. I had to change a flight to a later time in the same day. They said they would credit me for the original tickets. The credits showed on my account but when I went to use they they told me i had to contact the airline, who sent me back to travelocity. When I went back to them my credits had disappeared and I was told there was nothing they could do. They essentially stole $500 from me.

I booked a double queen through their…

I booked a double queen through their service and the software somehow booked a single king. I didn't want to pay the ridiculous extra fee for changes and cancelation because I knew I wouldn't need it. Now they say if I change or cancel booking I lose my entire booking cost of $500. This is blatant robbery. Don't do business with these people. P.S. I develop software so the chance of a user error on their app is slim to none. None the less this policy is robbery.

Total Rip-off

Travelocity is a complete rip-off. During Hurricane Ida we were looking for a place to evacuate and Travelocity charged us almost double what the hotel did. We needed to stay longer than what we had originally booked and when we went to book longer through the hotel we were told about the price difference. We paid less booking through the hotel during a Holiday Weekend than we did through this site. Don't be like us and get taken advantage of through this site. It is a waste of money. After reviewing the bill I am also finding misc. charges that have no description. This company is a joke.

Book round trip package for 4…

Booked/paid full price for a round trip package for 4 passengers to Vegas Economy/Coach. Travelocity turned around and booked us one-way for each out and inbound in SAVERS SEATS - our reservations even stated that our seats are in Economy/Coach. Contacted Travelocity/Crooks and they gave us a run around and said we booked Savers Seats and not them - THIS IS A LIE! To summarize this: we paid full price for a round trip airfare tickets and got ripped off. My first time ever using this service and will be the last. Absolutely horrendous unethical business practices - wrong in so many ways. Deeply disappointed...

Billed 144.60 for economy 1 day rental.

I will never book with travelocity again. Needed a flight and a rental car last minute due to my father passing suddenly. They double charged me for a rental car and provided no explanation except they get commission. They advertise bundle and save only to tell me if I would have booked directly with the rental car company Alamo I would have saved money. The daily rate is 69.00 I had the car for one day. Billed $144.00 for a compact cheapest car no add ons. They couldn't provide a breakdown. So bundle and save meant to them double charge me and then some. $144.60 is unacceptable. Then to tell me it possibly went to commission. Never again after years will I use this company. I work for a resort and I plan to share my experience.

Booked two rooms paid the extra insurance. They charged my card for the insurance. They failed to deliver the two rooms, left me and my family high and dry and have failed to refund my money for the insurance. Thieves. Don’t use Travelocity.

Zero stars if I could...

Used Travelocity only because a friend recommended them to me. Will NEVER use again. Bought two flights with them. Needed to cancel and hoped to get a voucher. Ended up calling and talking to three separate travel agents over the course of about three months. Here's what happened: Life happens, needed to cancel flights. Called Travelocity agent. Told me I would get vouchers for both flights. A month later, I call Travelocity again, hoping to redeem my vouchers. They tell me first agent was wrong! I don't get vouchers. After speaking with manager, they decide to give me the vouchers since first travel agent misinformed me, but the voucher would only be for one flight. I decide not to use the voucher at this time and they make notes in my file that I get a voucher! Call third agent about two months later. She informs me that agents one, two, and their manager were all wrong! And that she can't give me a voucher. I ask for her manager. She has me on hold for 30 minutes and then tells me her manager will call me back within an hour. I NEVER received a call back. Travelocity is TERRIBLE. Never buy tickets from a 'middle-man' like them. Buy directly from the airlines themselves. I would leave zero stars if I could. Awful company.
