Extended waiting for proof of usage

I needed my proof of usage for an insurance claim and was told to email my request. I did so on 27th June and was told that I will receive it within 48 hours. I therefore waited two working days untill Tuesday 01 July when I still had not received it. I therefore called the customer service department to chase this document. The call handler said she would escalate the request and said I should receive the document within 24 hours. This was not the case and I called up again on 2nd July to which I was told I would have to wait another 24 hours. I still had not received the document. I have now called again for the third time on 3rd July to which I was told the same thing: "The request has been escalated and you will receive it within 24 to 48 hours". This is quite frankly unacceptable and they are a nightmare to get any information from, having to wait nearly a week for a document that they promised I would receive in 48 hours on numerous occasions. If you ever need anything from Lyca, don't expect it to be easy, or that you will even get any information at all. Terrible customer service.

Avoid! Horrendous customer service!! What a Joke!

Really wish I read the reviews first , 3 hours of my life I won’t get back. Customers service is a Joke! Horrendous. Seriously save your money and time and goes elsewhere where. I asked for a refund on pay as you go eSIM which didn’t work at all with my iPad, clearly states on their website they provide this service. Just to be clear it doesn’t work - waiting for the refund, let’s see 🙈🙈

Network coverage is ok and everything…

Network coverage is ok and everything works ok till you want to contact customer service. What a bloody nightmare that is, dont need to say anything else Ill be moving providers asap,. UPDATE Had a message from Lyca to get in touch with them about my review and after an e mail sent... guess what nothing heard !!!!!

Absolutely Disastrous Service – The Worst Customer Support Experience I've Ever Had

My experience with Lyca Mobile has been nothing short of disastrous. Without exaggeration, it's the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Let’s start with their so-called live chat. It’s basically a fake feature. When you ask to speak with an agent, the AI responds saying it will connect you to a representative. So I start explaining my issue and wait... but no one replies for over 20 minutes. I continue working on something else with the chat open, and when I check back (after only 5 minutes), I find a message from an agent saying I wasn’t "live" for a while, so they closed the chat. Strange, but fine — I understand chat systems can have timeout rules. I try again, opening a new chat. The exact same thing happens. The third time, I leave the chat open and stay connected to avoid any issue. Guess what happens? I receive a string of automated messages pretending to be from an agent. But when I respond, I get a reply like: “Since we haven't received a response from you, we are closing the chat.” Unreal. Email support? Even worse. Minimum waiting time is a week — and I emphasize minimum. That alone is unacceptable. What if you have an urgent issue? Eventually, I gave up and decided to cancel my number and switch to another operator. You simply can’t afford to be left in limbo when dealing with critical issues. The fastest way to contact Lyca is by phone, but even that was a nightmare. I called twice, and both times the agents spoke barely understandable English. Communication was frustrating and ineffective. Worst of all, during the second call, the agent (clearly annoyed) said something like, “As I explained to you twice already,” in a very rude tone. I had to end the call there. Now, I work in customer service myself — I know it’s not easy. But empathy and basic politeness are ESSENTIAL. Especially when dealing with a desperate customer who has remained calm and respectful, despite poor communication and service/LANGUAGE barriers. All of this led me to abandon Lyca Mobile completely — and I’m still waiting for a reply from their support, by the way. Stay away from this provider unless you’re ready for a long ride of frustration, silence, and robotic replies.

just signed up for Unlimited SIM only…

just signed up for Unlimited SIM only with Lyca, First they sent the package with no SIM. After receiving SIM, and 5 days after and PAC has still not complete. Tried to contact customer services, got cut off 3 times at exactly 15 min of waiting. Tried the next day, I was still getting cut of at exactly 15 mins even when speaking to adviser. that day Pac code completes, now I cant receive for call or receive text messages. Rang services again, was in middle of speaking to 2 advisers who would elevate this to someone, and got cut off again. 3rd time we tried to change the SMSC number, but thats greyed out so solely controlled by Lyca. I also, discussed changing the start date of my contract (and therefore 14 day cooling of period) as it was 4 days before I received my SIM card. This was denied. Its now a week after my contract started. No incoming calls or no texts, no clue.

Absolutely ridiculous service. No SIM delivery and no CS feedback and no refund yet???

I have been following up on this matter for over a week now, and I must say, this has been one of the most unacceptable and frustrating customer service experiences I have ever encountered. I received an email from LYKA stating that my SIM card re-delivery request would be reviewed, as I never received the product. I responded immediately with all the requested information on the same day. Since then, I have been waiting for a resolution while sending repeated reminder emails almost every single day. Despite LYKA’s claim of providing 24/7 LIA online assistance, I have not received a single response, neither via email nor through your support system. This level of negligence and disregard for customer concerns is completely unacceptable and reflects extremely poorly on your company. At this stage, I am formally demanding a full refund of £5.00 and immediate cancellation of any future transactions or authorisations linked to my bank account or card within the LYKA system. Here are the relevant details for your reference: Order ID: ORD0D1A30002641491 Transaction ID: MFST0002256970 Plan Name: National Plus If this matter is not resolved immediately, and I do not receive written confirmation of the refund and account deactivation on my email address or on Trustpilot, I will escalate this situation as a formal complaint to my bank and report this as fraud to the appropriate authorities. This is your final opportunity to resolve this issue.

Avoid Lyca

Avoid Lyca. Terrible customer service. You will be paying money when though you cancel your package 9 months ago. You will be contacting them every 2 weeks to be ping-ponged to another support team if you are lucky to get a reply at all!! Online chat- you could wait 2 hours to connect to a live agent and still have no one to help. The issue is not resolved yet.

Tesco prepaid SIM card

Tbh had issues at the start as I bought a sim from tesco and it wasn’t working but a very helpful customer service agent walked me through it and got it working! There is a special code on the packet (as well as the receipt) keep everything with you! Currently working over in Europe as it includes roaming.
