Absolutely Disastrous Service – The Worst Customer Support Experience I've Ever Had
My experience with Lyca Mobile has been nothing short of disastrous. Without exaggeration, it's the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Let’s start with their so-called live chat. It’s basically a fake feature. When you ask to speak with an agent, the AI responds saying it will connect you to a representative. So I start explaining my issue and wait... but no one replies for over 20 minutes. I continue working on something else with the chat open, and when I check back (after only 5 minutes), I find a message from an agent saying I wasn’t "live" for a while, so they closed the chat. Strange, but fine — I understand chat systems can have timeout rules. I try again, opening a new chat. The exact same thing happens. The third time, I leave the chat open and stay connected to avoid any issue. Guess what happens? I receive a string of automated messages pretending to be from an agent. But when I respond, I get a reply like: “Since we haven't received a response from you, we are closing the chat.” Unreal. Email support? Even worse. Minimum waiting time is a week — and I emphasize minimum. That alone is unacceptable. What if you have an urgent issue? Eventually, I gave up and decided to cancel my number and switch to another operator. You simply can’t afford to be left in limbo when dealing with critical issues. The fastest way to contact Lyca is by phone, but even that was a nightmare. I called twice, and both times the agents spoke barely understandable English. Communication was frustrating and ineffective. Worst of all, during the second call, the agent (clearly annoyed) said something like, “As I explained to you twice already,” in a very rude tone. I had to end the call there. Now, I work in customer service myself — I know it’s not easy. But empathy and basic politeness are ESSENTIAL. Especially when dealing with a desperate customer who has remained calm and respectful, despite poor communication and service/LANGUAGE barriers. All of this led me to abandon Lyca Mobile completely — and I’m still waiting for a reply from their support, by the way. Stay away from this provider unless you’re ready for a long ride of frustration, silence, and robotic replies.
