I have got to say I was a little taken aback to read some of the reviews on here , Iv purchased 2 efiles and so far any problems that may have occurred have been dealt with swiftly and staff have been helpful , and if this continues I couldn’t fault the customer service or the products, and will purchase more for my salon.
I wish I has read the reviews before purchasing. I purchased the curved cuticle nippers which I never received. First I was told the item was delivered to my address the day after I ordered the item at a certain time. Unfortunately for them I have a video camera where I was able the share all the footage which showed no courier delivering the item at the time stated. I was then told to contact the courier (DHL) myself to find out what happened to the item which I did and the courier was able to confirm that the order number Andy provided was not for my address. The courier were not able to provide me with further information and advised me to go back to KB as they are the account holder. As the customer it is not my job to chase the item with the courier, I paid KB tools and my contract is with them. I went back to Andy who advised me that he would try to get the information from the courier and now has gone radio silence, since I made a request for a refund. I guess he is hoping I will go away, but because I believe in good business practices I wont and will take KB through the small claims court to get my refund as they are in breach of the consumer rights act. I would not recommend KB tools to any other nail techs as their service has been shocking.
Warning to other nail techs! These expensive curved scissors are a total rip off. I paid a lot of money for mine a few months ago and took great care of them. Always cleaning them and placing them back into the original box immediately after each use. They just cracked & broke! When I emailed the company, I was told how to hold the scissors! They took no responsibility whatsoever, just blamed me! This seems to be what all reviews are saying. I want to save any of you hard working nail techs from making the same mistake as me. I was offered a 10% off my next purchase, but will not be wasting my money with this company again. In response to your reply of my review, I did hold the scissors in the designated grip area, with 1 finger only. It’s impossible to use the scissors holding in a full hand grip as the scissors are so small! Also, you stated repeated use causes metal fatigue resulting in breakage, this is ridiculous. The scissors are sold to nail technicians whose job it is to do multiple sets of nails every day! This means your product is not fit for purpose. In response to your offer of upholding the 10% discount on my next purchase, I can assure you, I WILL NOT BE WASTING ANY MORE OF MY MONEY ON YOUR PRODUCTS. I don’t trust your brand, your customer service or your product integrity. There are 14 reviews for this company on here that I’ve counted, and 13 out of the 14 are the lowest rating possible. That speaks volumes. We’ve all had a similar experience too!
Customer service is shocking. I bought another pair of curved scissors so I could get the other pair sharpened and then I had a spare set. I have had my new pair a few months and they snapped. I sent an email with a photo to explain the first pair were fine. The response I got was so patronising and insulting. Apparently it was my fault and Andy gave me instructions on how I should use the scissors then added a video to insult me even more. He gave me a 10% discount for a new set thinking I’d accept it. When I replied to the email stating I know how to use the scissors he is reply was then “please keep in mind that each pair of scissor is unique and require different handling techniques”. I’ve never heard so many excuses in all my life. I have now sourced from Magpie Beauty at a third of the price.
Outrageous company and customer care. If I could, I would give 0 score! I ordered 2 curved cutting scissors and they are both flimsy and blunt. After several emails back and forth to Jane in customer service she has asked me to send them back to the company for resharpening at my expense! Why would they need sharpening if they are both brand new?Expensive, unhelpful and useless company. I will never order from them again and just wasted nearly £60 on 2 flimsy, crappy cuticle tools that don't even work! The box probably cost more which they came in! I would never recommend this company and as for their customer service. Jane is pointless!
I wish I could give zero stars because that’s exactly what they’d get. In October I bought a set of curved cuticle scissors, with the full prep set so as you can imagine a fairly costly set, I didn’t receive the scissors until November obviously with shipping etc, and then by January the scissors had snapped. So I haven’t even had two months usage out of them. So I thought I would sent a picture and an email to address the issue, hoping I would be offered a replacement. Upon being dealt with by the famous Jane, who I’ve seen from lots of reviews and have experienced this myself seems to have very poor customer service skills. I was told I would not be getting a replacement as it was MY fault the scissors had snapped and it was either 10% discount or nothing basically. She even kindly (and this is the best bit) sent me a video on how to use the scissors correctly, and hoped it may help me. As a professional who has training in the nail industry, I found that extremely rude, not only was she questioning my expertise but also telling me it was my fault the scissors broke. I was also told that they’re not meant to be held in your hand fully like nippers, which if anyone has used these scissors will know that it’s not possible to hold them like nippers as they are tiny. It seems to me they have had this issue before and know they have but were trying to cover it up by implying I’ve held them and misused them wrongly. After further research, I sent another lengthy email to ask how could they possibly prove it was me that broke them and not a manufacturing error, to still be told the same thing. I wouldn’t be getting a replacement. I think this company is awful. This company is meant to be designed by one of the industries leading nail techs, only it seems the products they sell are below par, even though I have been assured they uphold the most highest standards when it comes to their products. They couldn’t even answer me when I asked if the scissors could be sent back for further investigation as I knew for a fact I hadn’t used or handled them wrong. I wish I had seen these reviews before I ordered from them, as I would never have done if I’d have known their customer service was so poor. I will never order from them again. They are a terrible company and they are happy to line their pockets with tools that are below par, but not happy to help you out when they break.
Purchased a fine line nail art pen. Used EXACTLY as per instructions given on their website and the pen worked just once and wouldn't work again. Their customer service is appalling, they refused to refund or replace the pen despite it being faulty and not fit for purpose. Their Head of Customer Service, Jane, has basically blamed me and said I must have misused it. Not what I would have expected from a reputable company. Complete waste of money and has certainly put me off buying again from them in the future.
I would leave zero review! I brought drill bits Used for approximately 40 minutes Stem of the drill bit has tiny chip from it, I though maybe meant to be their! No it snapped. Told customer services She rudely told me that it was my fault. Guess that don't value or listen to the customers! AVOID THEM WASTE OF MONEY
Horrific company! Awful customer service from Jane. Cheap, useless tools at extortionate prices. Rip off postage costs and zero help when you raise a complaint! AVOID! There's much better equipment out there from more deserving businesses.
Customer service is awful. The post office said my item had been delivered. I received a photo of the delivery. Unfortunately that photo was not proof as it was just the envelope that was photographed and didn’t show it at my door. I tried to raise this with the post office but they said it had to be the sender (Katie Barnes) who had to raise the issue for me so they could investigate. At this point Katie Barnes customer service ignored my emails and stopped replying. I use other nail suppliers now with great customer service. There’s so many companies that have supplies like this and for me it’s the customer service that counts.
