I have had an outstanding complaint unresloved since November 2024

I have had an outstanding complaint since November 2024. In the 1 year 1 was issued with two very large bills over 1k each time (I live in a 1 bed apartment and work in the office for reference) so this just did not make sense to me. The issue is still on going, that bill was suppose to be frozen until the issue was resolved but as of last week I am now down 1k as the amount was taken from my bank. I have found it very difficult or at all possible to get updates on this situation from the complaint team. the Customer service operators have tired their best to help but as there is no direct contact to the complaint team this issue is just causing unnecessary stress and anxiety.

I am really happy with the level of customer service Bord Gais provides. Also, the Electricity and Gas rates are good!

Worst services company ever

Worst services company ever. No customer support, no loyalty incentives, robbing us blind with hight unit charges while gas wholesale prices have dropped since before Christmas….scammers and unfortunately there aren't many choices out there so they are sucking peoples pockets dry knowing they can get away with it. They’re an embarrassment to call Irish.

I would have given zero if possible

I would have given zero if possible. This is quite frankly the worst energy supplier, and one of the worst companies I have had the misfortune to cross. Their email auto response which dates back to covid times (we are experiencing an extremely high bla bla bla) gives you an indication of how low to set your expectations. The latest was when they sent me a Rewards offer of flowers for Valentine’s day - lovely touch. Completed the online form + optional ecard. Valentine’s day has now come and gone with no sign of any flowers, and worse, no indication on the webpage that this transaction ever existed, so no way to chase up where they were in the system - or not as is seemingly the case here. I have now been waiting over a month for my previous complaint to even be escalated to senior management, so I am not holding my breath on this one. Avoid this company like plague, 83% of 158 giving 1 star is a clear indication of the service levels to expect.

The worst

The worst. Last bill was too high, so we used the option to split the bill. Sweet, right? So they charged half of splitted bil, and in a few days- full bill. That was our last money till salary. Such a- insert any inappropriate word...

Thank you Ms ASWAPHI SUNILKUMAR, exception to a disgraceful customer service

I am rating this exclusively due to the help I received from Ms. ASWAPHI SUNILKUMAR, who stayed 1 hour and half on the phone till my issue was resolved. I’d like to mention I called 1st of February due to a serious issue regarding the access to our online account and the agent ms Nicola from Ireland was unable to help and put me through the so called supervisor , also Ms Nicola (what a coincidence). No one was willing to assist and just trying to get me off the phone . I’d like to point out I was TRYING TO PAY IN FULL A BILL THAT REACHED ALMOST 500 EUR due to errors in the system that was not allowing us to access the account. So it sounds even more weird as seems they did not want to get paid. Ms ASWAPHI SUNILKUMAR was the only one who took the time to reset the account access to we could proceed. I wish she got a pay raise and worked for a better company.

worst company around…

This has to be the worst company around they sold me a hive package knowing I physically couldn't have hive as they only have technicians in certain counties.. I spent from September to January to sort this and get refund to be told I'll be getting 36% discount because of it to get my bill and it not be added.. aswell as hive we opted for free time Sunday as we have a smart meter.. I was told don't worry you can change this day at any point if you like.. I call today to change it and get my discount fixed to be told its a whole new contract to change the day and be with them for 12 more months and I would lose my discount.. this company has had my heart broken apart from 3 call centre agents the rest of their agents are useless and don't actually know their job or how to read a customers account file.. I've had the worst 5 months with this company and can not wait to leave at the end of this contract... please DO NOT go with bord gais

poor customer service

Extremely difficult to deal with this energy provider. Customer server representatives I've dealt with are not helpful and quite rude. Impossible to talk to some regarding a complaint I made over 1 month ago. Keep getting told I can't be put through to the complaints department and that someone will ring me, which doesn't happen.

Boiler Service - Never Again

I got my Boiler serviced and it broke down inside the warranty period of 60 days. As it broke down on a Saturday night i could not make contact until Monday. As the 60 days expired on Sunday they refused to accept the warranty and insisted that I pay for the subsequent callout. Their customer service was completely unapologetic and not willing to discuss the issue. It will be the last time I will use them for a service in the future.

Absolutely gutted

17 years with the company and offered a 0% discount on either the gas or electricity because we are on a prepaid meter that was forced upon us during the last recession. We feel the pay as you go meter a great way for family's to watch what they are spending but we are losing out on a 10 to 15 percent saving because we won't give that up. Definitely zero loyalty to long standing customer and when you talk to staff it's a case of computer says no and no avenue for escalation.

Clueless Always problems trying to pay my bill…

Always problems trying to pay my bill over the phone, then transferred to someone in India or somewhere that says my phone no doesn’t match, all I’m trying to do is pay the bill, bunch of clowns keep well away
