Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.

Dreadful service

Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Yet again received no phone call that…

Yet again received no phone call that was promised fri to say what time the schedulers are due round tues so I phoned she couldn’t even confirm that they are coming round.. and said I’ll get a phone call back at some point which I know I won’t like my previous post so prob another unpaid day that Iv take. Off work is there anyone that can sort this situation out as I’m absolutely fuming

One of the worst companies in the uk

One of the worst companies in the uk. Charged for water on a property I have never lived in. Given you two years to rectify even owner of the house has told you that you're wrong.

Failure to update customers during water suspension is unacceptable.

I visited my elderly parents in Upton, Gainsborough on 5/6th Sept. Shortly after arriving the water supply ceased. I reported this via Anglian Waters website (20552362) and was advised we would be updated. No update or explanation provided as to why the water was cut off for over 6 hours. I have a bowel disease so need to use the loo frequently as do my elderly parents. Customer’s need to be kept updated and supported when water supplies are withdrawn, Anglian Water failed to do this and I would like an explanation why so this doesn’t happen again.

GREAT SERVICE

This morning, my partner's Mother in Law who is in her 90's came round to tell me that her main drain was blocked and overflowing. I rang Anglia Water and spoke with Leah. She was enormously caring and helpful and certainly went the extra mile. The repair crew arrived a couple of hours later, identified the problem, a blocked main drain in the road, and sorted it out. They also took great care to reassure an old lady that all was well. When they finished, the cleaned down and disinfected the path that had been flooded. Many thanks for great service.

Well done Anglian Water team!

So very impressed with every member of the team that I spoke to when we had an issue after new smart meter installation. They telephoned me to say someone was on their way to assist water pressure drop and I hadn't even put the phone down when they rang the bell!! When the problem was found not to be the new meter they arranged for a plumber to visit the same day. The problem was sorted in minutes and we've never had such high pressure before. From start to finish, lovely people ready and willing to go that extra mile to help us. Well done Anglian Water and a big thank you. One very happy customer.

Michael The Cool Guy!!!!

Michael The Cool Guy came in our hour of need! We still have some more work awaiting completion from other teams at anglian water but when all hope was lost for getting our 2 week strong internal leak sorted before the end of next week, Michael arrived! Even though the job had been cancelled he still knocked and offered to take a look, and before i knew it, the job was done! A polite, friendly professional!!

Speak as you find

Like to thank Anglian Water for their prompt response in repairing the Burst Water Main outside our property this Bank Holiday weekend, not an easy job especially when it means digging by hand as it is under a walkway. Well done. 5/9/21 Path repaired & Tarmacked, good job,thank you

Polite but totally useless

To be fair to Anglian Water their call centre staff must be amongst the politest in the industry. But the main issue of this company is when it comes to escalating matters or resolving problems. I had a problem with bill issued in fraudulent way, somebody used my personal details for water bill without my knowledge. I called them explained my situation and after some time they start sending me reminders about payment. Even so I found the real culprit of this whole situation and persuade that person to pay for bill, Anglian Water still didn’t do nothing to amend the bill. They ruined my credit scores even when I was innocent that didn’t matter for them. After several attempts of contacting them( it took a few months) and realized that this is pointless, afterwards was felt so exhausted and stressed out that finally, I lost my patience and hire a lawyer to deal with them. Thanks to him they wiped out the debt, also updated the credit agency to remove the bad report against my name. Due to my experiences with Anglian Water my overall effect is awarded of a single star.

Anglian water a total lack of respect for its customers

Booked an appointment for Anglian water to come to my house to test the drinking water supply as we have a section of lead pipe in our system. Appointment was made and confirmed for Friday 20 August between 12noon and 4pm, I accept that companies these days seem to have a complete lack of ability to schedule an appointment to a one hour window, so I had to accept their 4 hour window. They kindly sent me two text messages to make sure I would be at home during their 4 hour window, but sadly they, not only, didn't turn up in their own time frame, they also omitted to call me, their customer, to say they couldn't attend! So I, the customer, had to ring them. I was given a cock and bull story about how the man coming to take a sample of my water had got diverted to a major mains burst. When asked why that had stopped them calling me they said that the deeper they dug the more serious the leak was and the longer the sample taker would be held up, but does not explain why no phone call! They made a point of saying how busy they were, and of course I wasn't busy at all sitting at home for 4 hours twiddling my thumbs, and after all I am only a customer. Customer care is obviously not their strong point (nor by the sound of it is burst water main fixing) and they appear to have a total lack of respect for their customers, I have never seen so many negative reviews on Trustpilot, so may I suggest to Peter Simpson that he invests more money in this area and may I also suggest that Government gives us, the customer, the right to switch our water and sewage suppliers, nothing like a bit of competition to get companies to put their house in order. You are missing the point. A missed appointment is not frustrating, it is the fact that no one at Anglian Water bothered to contact me to let me know, that shows your complete lack of respect for your customers. And this is why the customer must have the right to switch supplier. Aaron if I were you I would not be proud of this abysmal record. Poor Customer Service.

Our water meter stopped working 8 weeks ago, I check it every week in case of leaks, having reported it to Anglian Water it took 8 weeks to come here and replace the meter and only then after I had complained several times . The last time I complained it was to the Consumer Council for Water, the next day my meter was replaced 17/08/2021. I did inform Anglian Water that I had reported them so maybe that helped.
