Constant problems with no water can't replace the pipes but can pay their shareholders
Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.
Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Woke up on Sunday 4 February 2018, to find no water available due to water main bursting. Checked their website for information and updates, to be told normal service to resume by 3pm, then 6pm, then midnight, then 6am Monday morning. At 5pm today (Wednesday 7 February) the water main bursts again, in the same place, indicating that the original work was a complete bodge. Check their website again to be advised that all will be fixed by 10pm tonight, so that’s going to be 6am on Thursday at the earliest. I decided to use the ‘Live Chat’ function on their website. Ryan from the debt collection department answered, but couldn’t help me with anything I asked. Thursday 8 Feb 2018. You couldn’t make this up, the water did come back on sometime during the night, but upon returning from work tonight (5pm) the water main had only burst again. That’s three times in four days.

The only reason it’s not 5* is because of an issue that has repeated, however the service I have received regarding Anglian water billing me for someone else’s water meter twice, has been fantastic. The first time they did it was 2016, they were billing me for someone else’s reading and realised it was wrong and then gave me a bill of nearly £2000 for one person in a one person flat. They then wiped that clear, gave me a month for free and corrected the water amount. This time I have got Anglian water out due to high consumption - wanting £52 pounds for a single person again which wasn’t correct. Employee came in, figured out the issue immediately, stayed an hour longer than he was supposed to as I had to call out my housing association to get into my water meter cupboard to check my readings -to then find out they were charging me off my neighbours water reading again so he has updated Anglian water of this information but I know that Anglian water will be fair and sort it out like the first time. All in all- despite the mistakes, I’m very happy with Anglian water as my company of choice. An addition to that is everyone I ever speak to on the phone at Anglian water always has a polite manner with quick service.

My toilets drain into a public sewer which regularly blocks and backs up into the house. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to call out their staff to unblock. Each time, they send out a guy, a contractor who cannot clear the blockage and the job goes back for bigger equipment. Each time, after having to open street manholes they clear the problem stating that the sewer was blocked by tree roots. The problem HAS NEVER been fixed properly by digging down and clearing the roots and repairing broken pipes. The problem has returned yet again this weekend. They sent a guy from Metrorod. He couldn’t fix it. 48 hours later they send another guy who said he checked all the manholes which were clear. He was looking at “rainwater drains” in totally the wrong place! This required another call with a 20 minute wait to be answered. The service is rubbish sending out people who can’t tell the difference between a rain drain and a poo sewer, sending out people who can’t fix it and failing to rectify the known cause. I’ve worked in the service industry all my life and have never seen such a disjointed affair as ANGLIA WATER. I’m not normally one to complain as I understand technical problems but this has to be sorted out. It’s a health hazard. If I could find the Chief Executives email address, I would let him sort out the mess from the top down. Failing that it looks like I shall have to make a ministerial complaint via my MP. NOT GOOD ENOUGH ANGLIA WATER. Note: THE ANGLIA WATER TECHIE ((not a contractor) has just visited. He knew the job from a previous visit. He knew exactly where to start. He cleared the blockage and explained it was fat/soap residue, not roots. He also explained that our sewer main joins a bigger main with a dominant flow which over time caused a build up of muck at the interface. The design is flawed. However, the blockage is now clear until the next time. So, I’m still annoyed that this inconvenience has and will recurr, but at least this guy knew what he was doing. Rant over for now.

Just moved house, found it very quick and easy to change address online... which gave me plenty of time to deal with notifying the less helpful companies. Feedback service is simple, if I don't want to respond they don't chase up with a million calls asking for good reviews like some places.

The water supplied by Anglian Water in South Norfolk is disgusting and unfit for human consumption. I have recently started to buy bottled spring water for drinking and the difference is amazing, apart from feeling healthier I no longer have stained cups or stained sinks, it is no longer embarrassing to serve up a cup of tea to visitors with scum floating on the surface. Unfortunately we do have the choice of water supplier and because of this Anglian Water can get away with pumping disgusting water through our pipes. It is worth every penny I spend on bottled water to improve my health and well being.
