Anglian water a total lack of respect for its customers

Booked an appointment for Anglian water to come to my house to test the drinking water supply as we have a section of lead pipe in our system. Appointment was made and confirmed for Friday 20 August between 12noon and 4pm, I accept that companies these days seem to have a complete lack of ability to schedule an appointment to a one hour window, so I had to accept their 4 hour window. They kindly sent me two text messages to make sure I would be at home during their 4 hour window, but sadly they, not only, didn't turn up in their own time frame, they also omitted to call me, their customer, to say they couldn't attend! So I, the customer, had to ring them. I was given a cock and bull story about how the man coming to take a sample of my water had got diverted to a major mains burst. When asked why that had stopped them calling me they said that the deeper they dug the more serious the leak was and the longer the sample taker would be held up, but does not explain why no phone call! They made a point of saying how busy they were, and of course I wasn't busy at all sitting at home for 4 hours twiddling my thumbs, and after all I am only a customer. Customer care is obviously not their strong point (nor by the sound of it is burst water main fixing) and they appear to have a total lack of respect for their customers, I have never seen so many negative reviews on Trustpilot, so may I suggest to Peter Simpson that he invests more money in this area and may I also suggest that Government gives us, the customer, the right to switch our water and sewage suppliers, nothing like a bit of competition to get companies to put their house in order. You are missing the point. A missed appointment is not frustrating, it is the fact that no one at Anglian Water bothered to contact me to let me know, that shows your complete lack of respect for your customers. And this is why the customer must have the right to switch supplier. Aaron if I were you I would not be proud of this abysmal record.
