Dreadful service

Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

Walking down St Andrews Street along…

Walking down St Andrews Street in Central Cambridge along with many many other people I have ruined my shoes walking through human waste spilling out onto the pavement from a drain cover.I spoke to Cambridge City Council about the environmental health side of this and asked why it hadn't been coned off they said they had reported it to Anglian water several hours earlier. I phoned Anglian water who said they were short staffed and hopefully someone would attend by 10pm, so raw sewage in the middle of the city all day. I also threw my shoes away rather than cleaning them and they said they accepted no liability and emailed their insurance companies details. Overall I think most reasonably minded people would consider this unaceptable both from my loss which is minimal and the publics health.

Having let a house out and getting then…

Having let a house out and getting then a bill for the period the tenant was in, they chose to chase me for the bill as it was easy for them, they had no final reading given by the tenant and believed her over me for when she left, regardless of the fact she left all her belongings in the property for another 6 weeks. Shocking as all they do after not listening is pass the debt on to a debt collection agency, it was only for £50 and know most people cannot be bothered wasting their time and pay it. Shameful. Update, having read some comments below it’s a common problem, why is it down to someone to prove they were not there, shouldn’t Anglian have to prove you were there? It’s a monopoly with no chance to switch. It’s funny how the replies from Anglian ask to call them to sort it out! Don’t they think we already tried that and this was a last resort to waste more time to leave a review!!! Go on then do tell how you can prove that a tenant moved out? When they didn’t tell you! All that people can tell you is when they got the property back! You give me a call as I’m not wasting another email or call as that will be 15 emails and 22 phone calls I already made!

Excellent Customer Service

Firstly, they answered my call within less than a minute l was so impressed. I managed to speak with the Care Team who were able to give me lots of advice and really best news was they almost halved my bill! So thank you all very much for your kindness due to our situation.

How to avoid to pay Anglian bill

You wish to avoid to pay Anglian Water bill, just call them and set up it on random name. My friend name just has been passed to Anglian Water as a account holder, he was renting room in share house and his name was used as a main tenant. Several conversations with Anglian are going to nowhere, they want tenancy agreement as a prove. How possibly he can get one if he did not rent a house ???!!!!! Case is impossible to sort with Anglian Water, my friend is in debt which, in fact is not his, plus Anglian water damaging his credit score. I am trying help him resolve the case but talking with Anglian Water is like hitting a wall !!!! It is really that difficult for such a company like Anglian to contact local council and check who actually is on council tax bill ???? Instead of requesting ridiculous proves which are impassable to obtain from obvious reasons ????

Forcing insurance on to people

I thought blackmailing was against the law ah sorry not if you're an energy company that wants even bigger profits got a letter from Anglian water basically telling me that if we don't take out extra insurance then we will be liable to pay any and all repair work that may need to be done. They have stated for the first year it will cost around£6 for the year not bad I hear you say however the following year t goes up £13per month but you will only get this if you take the first year if not then you will pay for everything and I can assure you all that these money grabbing magotts will be digging up everything and having us pay to have them make more profit so I say to everyone get on to all comparison site's and don't give the greedy company any nothing but highway robbery and this government are letting it happen disgusting

Excellent service all around

When our foul drain blocked at home, Anglian Water sent out an engineer that very afternoon. The main manhole cover was stuck so the engineer came back the next morning with a colleague and between them managed to lift it. They then sent a camera in both directions to see where the blockage was. When it became clear it wasn't the main sewer which was affected, they sent a camera up the next door drain to where our pipes join our neighbour's and thus located the blockage. Although it turned out to be on our property and therefore our responsibility, just knowing where it was was so helpful when I contacted HomeServe (I have pipes / drain cover with them through Anglian Water). I was even able to show the HomeServe engineer a photo of the block, courtesy of Anglian Water's technology. I really cannot praise their service enough. Thank you.

Wonderful service.

Had a bad water leak from the supply pipe some months ago. Recently had a call from a lady at AWA saying they were worried as my bill was still high, I said we had more people in the house so this would explain it. She got back to me after most recent bill and said it was back to normal and I got a £1000 refund for the leak. Wonderful consideration and service. Many thanks AWA.

Let’s not forget in 2019

Let’s not forget in 2019, raw sewage was pumped by our water companies into rivers 292,864 times, totalling 1.5 million hours. This year it’s grown 400,000! There is not one river under anglia waters management that is safe to swim in due to human waste! Anglian Water don’t love every drop they infect more or less pollute every drop

Amazing Service In Difficult Times

Last week local building work collapsed and blocked the main outlet sewer for our village. Sewage was backfilling several home bathrooms. Anglian Waters were on site within 4 hours taking amazing efforts to relieve problems. Logging the call was far easier than I hoped. The technicians went out of their way to keep us informed of objectives and measures taken. Whilst the fix is ongoing, I would like to thank Anglian Water for the efforts they've taken so far.
