Constant problems with no water can't replace the pipes but can pay their shareholders
Entering day 4 without mains water. No end in sight. Apparently they can’t find the cause of the supply failure.
Reported a domestic water leak almost 3 weeks ago. An initial visit confirmed it was the company's responsibility to repair but a follow up visit was needed. 3 weeks pass & the same technician turns up to take photos of the leak he saw 3 weeks before. In the interim no.proactive communication from the.companu. Promised callbacks never came. And.booked visits never happened. Awful! And I have no alternative provider.I can switch to. Simply.awful service

So, anglian water set up a direct debit with me, and told me the dates my payment will go out, fair enough, however, they told me the wrong amount, meaning the DD bounced. Since this, they will not let me set up a new DD, they will not let me set up any form of payment plan, and they are demanding the whole years payment via a debt collection agency. My question is , HOW can you be IN DEBT for services you haven't received yet??? They are demanding full payment from now to October, and apparently my credit rating has been marked. They have the audacity to put on your account "if you are struggling, we are here to help " .... yeah , right.... about as much help as a knitted umbrella!! Disgraceful company.

This week a water main burst outside my house, that was being checked by Anglian Water. Within minutes my front garden, drive and back garden was under 3,4 inches of water. The company stopped the leak after around 45 minutes. After a couple of hours I was left with a sludge deposit from the drain and road, that spread down the drive and footpath. As soon as I could my wife and myself started to clean it up. We have 2 dogs and they were paddling it into the house. It took us, 3 hours to get the thick away. Anglian said their insurers would contact us. They did. They were pretty short and didn't want to know anything. They said they would send someone to look at the mess. I said I cleaned it up. They said I shouldn't have, they would do that after the visit within 7 days. How mad is that? I have to leave sludge down my drive in order for them to assess and clean it up, while we all walk in it and spread it onto our carpets. I asked if I would get some sort of compensation for our time. They said they don't pay homeowners to clean up! Why are companies so unhelpful when they could be nice about things? I have all the photos of the water and mess. David Lowe

Great Service. Had to call Anglian Water to advise of a bereavement. The phone was answered in 3 minutes and everything dealt with very efficently. Very impressed with the helpfulness and attitude of the person I spoke with.

Have had very low water pressure for 3 weeks, so no washing machine, bathing etc. Anglian came out checked pressure at meter, apparently ok. My plumber came out to check internal for leaks all fine. Getting exprnsive now so insurance company sent out the best of the best plumbers, every internal pipe checked, appliances checked, sound equipment used internal and external & no leaks, blockages etc. So its extetnal (from meter to road) Now waiting again for anglian. Why didnt they do this in the first place. Very disappointed as very unhygienic, we are not in the old times. 😡

I don’t normally write reviews but I have to acknowledge the excellent service I have received today. Phoned and spoke to a very friendly lady and explained the problem I had regarding blocked drains between neighbouring properties. The technician arrived within a couple of hours and the issue is now resolved. Many thanks to all.

One of the sewage pipes running underneath our garden has burst and flooded our garden with waste from the entire street, we rang up Anglian Water on the Saturday evening and told them that we had an emergency, they ensured us that we were a high priority case and that they would send someone out ASAP to fix this issue, it’s now been two days and we’ve had the bare minimum response from the company - we’re unable to shower, wash our clothes or use the bathroom and the company keeps delaying their response and keeping minimal contact (we have to keep calling them) the sewage in our garden has gotten worse and I’m worrying about the well-being of my pets and the structural integrity of this property, the latest excuse from this company was “pollution”, they don’t seem to care that this is a huge environmental hazard, we will be seeking legal action once this has been dealt with.

Phoned the helpline this morning with a query about our latest bill, which informed of us a 100 per cent increase. I think the young man who answered introduced himself as Steve . . . I can’t thank or praise him highly enough!!!!! He was polite, helpful and sorted the problem for us. Thanks again for your outstanding help and service.

I am considering switching paying by smart meter, but before committing can you advise where I can see some of the 80% users, (who AWA said have switched) comments. Northampton users

Billy and Byron replaced a dangerous manhole cover in Ferry View Estate Horning in atrocious weather and made an excellent job of it. It was a manhole to a public sewer within a private garden and they were extremely considerate courteous to residents.

I'm normally guilty of only submitting reviews when I've had a bad experience, but I wanted to say how pleased I am with the service provided by Anglian Water. I didn't have a water meter but I thought that I should do so. I phoned up and discussed it with the adviser who was really helpful, confirmed that I should save a considerable sum, and arranged for a survey to be carried out. Since I am classed as vulnerable I asked that the engineer wear a mask which the adviser noted. I got a text the day before to confirm and on the day the engineer called and said he would be arriving in 15 minutes and confirmed that he had been asked to wear a mask. He arrived on time, was pleasant, polite and efficient and said he was able to fit the meter there and then. He was done and dusted in about 5 minutes. I then called the company to check when I would be billed and the adviser I spoke to was again very pleasant and helpful. I really wish other utilities companies would take a leaf out of Anglian's book - calls are answered quickly, and the staff know what they're talking about and are very courteous too.
