Unfortunately this company is non-responsive, uses bait-and-switch tactics, and we had an awful experience over a 3+ month period. There is a lot of “passing the buck” and sending you to “the people that can handle it”. The owner of the property was kind, but the management company (Turnkey) just was a major pitfall to the place. Edit: You can’t find the reservation? Crowther isn’t exactly a common last name… and we checked out yesterday. You can find the reservation under my wife’s name at (you’ve asked me to remove the street)… we can provide pictures of the port-a-potty in the front yard, the dumpster 15 feet from the front yard and the only view out the front window, the non-working hot tub (half the time), the mold, bugs (cockroaches and scorpions in the home), the wasps nest in the dog house, the non-working toilet (you have replaced the toilet handles with the wrong ones, way too heavy, plastic toilet arms can’t raise them back up), blown fuse, broken cabinets (doors hanging off), and more… just a poorly “maintained” house that is NOTHING like the photos… when folks eventually return calls from your “24/7” hotline, they are not empowered to fix/correct anything in a timely manner, they say, “you need to speak to the local team” or “you need that person” and they don’t call you back. Edit 2: Providing compensation for allowing workers to come in and out during the first couple weeks of a 3+ month stay does not negate your tactics, lack of customer service, and dishonest practices… and you tried to get my review removed. You fixed the items that were required to be fixed, that doesn’t mean you fixed the communication, customer service, bait-and-switch tactics, the mold, the hot tub not working, the toilets not working, the hornets, etc. You repaired the blown fuse (we didn’t have a dryer) and that took you over two weeks, you repaired the broken cabinets, and your handyman “no-showed” on us 3+ times, you sent someone to remove the cockroaches from the freezer, and you sent someone to repair the hot tub week two, but it was unusable greater than half the stay (months).
The place we reserved was pretty great. There were some issues with some of the appliances, but they were looked into fairly quickly. I would trust to use turnkey again.
Spacious and close enough to Napa and wineries. Neighborhood is quiet & peaceful. Kids love the walking distance to the park.
I was very impressed with how well our vacation went and how easy it was to check in and access our condo. The amount of detailed information Turnkey provided me about the property was very helpful. I would feel very comfortable booking another vacation at a Turnkey property.
Rental agent was very communicative. Checked on us upon arrival, responded to request for kitchen towels. Made the rental process very smooth.
TurnKey Vacation Rentals simplified the whole process while providing great communication from start to finish! I really appreciate them allowing me to check in early and the condo was really clean!
Overall the experience was great. The condo met all our needs that we had. We enjoyed having a balcony overlooking the ocean and easy and quick access to the beach. Also loved having a bed for everyone so no sharing had to be done. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the fridge. The outside of the fridge was covered in what I would call rust. The inside was 100% clean so the fridge was still useable. I did mention it to the vacation rental company and they said they would send someone out to look at it but no one ever came. But like I mentioned the fridge was still useable and it did not affect the our trip in any way
Turnkey was always available and did everything to help and assist me.
The experience with TurnKey Vacation Rentals was very good. The house was clean and very nicely decorated.
Great experience with a vacation rental. Very easy to use with notifications that kept us updated, and prompt responses to any questions we had. I'd definitely recommend them, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
The absolute worst rental company I’ve ever dealt with. My daughter tested positive for Covid the day we were scheduled to leave for a rental in Port Aransas. I contacted Turnkey immediately to let them know the situation. We were packed ready to go and my daughter woke up with symptoms. They basically said “too bad, so sad”, I even offered to send them a copy of her test from the lab. They actually told me to GO to the rental...with a Covid positive child. Needless to say I was pissed. I called several times and was given the same scripted response, that I should have purchased trip insurance. I don’t know how this company hasn’t been put out of business. Also, contacted VRBO and they were zero help as well. I will not let this go until I get my money back. **See scripted BS response below**
Had a terrible experience with customer services when trying to fix issues with the house we rented. Representatives were extremely rude. NEVER fixed issues we called about. Description on AirBnB was NOT truthful. We will never rent from TURNKEY again.
We've just moved to Florida, and we rented a townhouse in Kissimmee to stay at before we could move into our new home. We were at a previous rental for six weeks and let me tell you, we are SO GLAD this one is only for two. The place is disgusting! The porch light was burnt out; the blinds on the back door are broken; the closets are unusable, either because they're full of stuff or because you can't even open them (who puts a bed right in front of a closet door?); there was FECES ON ONE OF THE BEDS, and on top of all that, THE PLACE HAS ROACHES. How can any of this be considered REMOTELY acceptable?? Regardless of how well or how poorly Turnkey handles complaints or solves problems, these things should never have been issues in the first place. We will NEVER use Turnkey again.
I can barely put into words the upset and distress this company has caused me and my family. We rented a home in South Florida for the Thanksgiving Holiday, and after our children swam in the pool for about 30 minutes, I noticed my daughters swimsuit had been completely bleached and stripped of all color. I had never seen anything like this, so we became concerned the pool was over-chlorinated. We reached out to TurnKey and after much arguing and constantly following up with them, they sent the pool company out. They claimed the levels were fine, so we continued to swim. We then realized the children started to get red splotches all over their skin, consistent with chemical burn, and my daughter's beautiful brown curly hair was now platinum on the ends and straight, and it began to disintegrate and fall out. This was beyond upsetting, as it would be for anyone to see this happening to your children. I continued calling and texting TurnKey to ask them to either send the pool company back out, or at least show any sort of concern for what was happening. They have this automated "we feel deeply for your troubles and will do everything to fix it" response when you call or text. They asked us for photographic evidence of everything that happened to our children, which we sent. They escalated my concerns to their "corporate resolutions team" who then said, they can't help us because the pool company said everything was fine. Ignoring the photo evidence we sent them. I took it upon myself to have another company check the levels, sure enough, the chlorine was 30 ppm, and it should have been between 5 and 6 ppm. They said those levels would damage anyone's skin and eyes and hair and no one should be swimming in that water. I have called, emailed, cried, begged, pleaded for someone to call me and make this right, only to be completely ignored. We paid for a pool that we can not only NOT USE, but actually caused chemical burns, ruined our clothes and ruined my daughter's hair. They obviously DO NOT care about their customers when there is a real issue. I haven't slept in 3 days and my daughter is so upset that we had to cut her hair to get all of the bleached damaged parts off. Our entire trip was completely ruined, and I urge anyone and everyone to find ANY other rental property to use. Steer clear of TurnKey at all costs.
ABSOLUTELY awful. Chewed gum in bowls in the cupboard. Safety concerns with unlocked door between units - anyone could enter at any time. 3 washers 2 dryers. 1 washer worked... All shelves and drawers in fridge were broken. Bathroom sink clogged every time. Dirty, stained towels around unit. Not well equipped kitchen. Not enough supplies for # of guests... the list goes on and on...
I thought the code to the door lock was too long (made it hard to memorize). Instructions for vacating seemed vague. But Turnkey's process was very smooth and the communication was great.
TurnKey Vacation Rentals helped facilitate a successful stay. Their customer assistance contact information was clear and easy to find and it was easy to text from the phone number used with my reservation and get very prompt responses. At times the responses were a little clunky but they worked and I was able to secure the information I needed on my sporadic timeline while traveling. It would have been helpful for the rental listing or agreement documents to mention about the check-in process—that the door code would be provided after check-in time on the day of arrival (and following successful signing of rental agreements, of which there were two—not sure why). Not knowing this, I unnecessarily contacted the company to procure this information ahead of time. The door code was eventually provided, after the established check-in time, and we were able to access the unit with little trouble. I wish I would have known that TurnKey is part of the Marriott umbrella so I could have booked my stay in a way to qualify for BonVoy points. This would be helpful information to know before making a reservation. Overall, it was a nice rental in a good location and TurnKey helped facilitate an easy stay.

Turnkey as a management company did a fantastic job with the rental, they were responsive and made us feel like a priority. The only criticism that I have is more of the property itself: cookware, bedding, towels and linens were cheap and insufficient; the decor was sterile, like a generic office; not having the pool heated in during winter months makes the pool pretty useless. I would add a heater and charge tenants. Lastly, spend the money on appropriate fit and finishing as it makes a difference. Overall, good experience, good rental property, I'm just being critical to help.
