Good friendly service. On time in Antalya. XQ533 Dublin to Antalya

Problemloser Online-Check-In, nette und zügige Gepäckaufgabe, pünktlicher Abflug und planmäßige Ankunft - alles perfekt!
Always the staff are pleasant and polite, leg room is better than some airlines.
This is the third time I fly, from Stockholm to Konya, with SunExpress and I have nothing to complain about.
Immer wieder gerne mit SunExpress. Leider aber auch etwas Kritik. 3€ für eine wirklich kleine Flasche stilles Wasser ist definitiv zu teuer!
Booking was fine no issues there, however checking in online was not good at all . Our flights going out our seats were double booked and the flight was only half full. Checking in online means you only need to drop off your baggage at a drop off point because you have you boarding passes down loaded. This was my experience both going out to Turkey and coming back. Also our return flight time changed before we before we left to start our holiday. I got a call from SunExpress to say our return flight would be an hour early which to us that was fine and I thought at that point great customer service! However when we got the return flight it was delayed and we were not given an explanation as to why. What was really annoying was the ground staff sat about on their phones and when the customers who required support where brought forward to the boarding gate the ground staff said it would be 15 minutes they then picked up their cigarettes and proceeded to go for a cigarette and left everyone bewildered as to what was going on. So there for I have only given. 2 star rating .
Leider muss ich mich den anderen Negativen Bewertungen anschließen. Das online Portal ist eine Katastrophe. Bei der Auswahl von kostenlosen Sitzplätzen kommt es zu einem Fehler und es müssen Plätze für 5.99 € gebucht werden, was bei 4 Personen on top ca. 24 € macht. Die Abbuchung funktionierte promt. Danach kommt es auf dem Portal zu einem Loop und man muss von vorne beginnen, wo man nochmal Sitzplätze verkaufen will. Kostenlosen können wieder nicht ausgewählt werden und man möchte nochmal kassieren. Der Check In kann nicht abgeschlossen werden und am Flughafen zockt man dann nochmals 5 € pro Person ab. Am Flughafen kam es zur Eskalation, da wir nicht die einzigen waren und andere Gäste die Flughafenpolizei alamierten, was beim Check In zu einer Zeit von einer Stunde führte. Beim Rückflug gab es dann keine Plätze mehr für 5.99 € und man kassierte gleich 12.99 € pro Person ab. Diesem mal hab ich vom Check In Prozess ein Video gemacht, welches ich dem Verbraucherschutz zukommen lasse. On Top noch mehr als 100.- € Abzocken sind kriminelle Geschäftsgebaren und dem Verein gehört das Handwerk gelegt.
Totale ABZOCKE! Beim Online Check-in wurden mir nur kostenpflichtige Sitze angeboten und ich durfte für 3 Sitzplätze 26,97 Euro bezahlen, was auf dem Hinflug nicht so war. Der 1. Check-in Versuch ging schief, habe es dann ein 2. Mal versucht und da wurde auf einmal nichts mehr für die Sitze verlangt. Habe mich an den Kundenservice gewendet und bekam nur die Auskunft man könne nichts machen. Hab jetzt also 27 Euro für Sitze bezahlt, die ich gar nicht zahlen müsste!! Das war mein letzter Flug mit Sunexpress, NIE WIEDER!!!!
I was on flight back from Turkey 2 weeks today with my husband an our son that has special needs I purchased a 2 sandwich and asked which drink can I have with the meal the air hostess said to me any so I asked for a coffee she asked me would you like a filtered coffee or a normal one I said filtered and they charged me an extra €12 so I called her back and said to her you charge me extra, so she refunded that money to me and then charged me again, but we had purchased some more stuff as well by then and she charge me an extra €15 again so I called back and she says well this menu that you’re picking from. It’s a domestic menu I said so why have you got this on international flight , she said we don’t have time to take them out which was a bit ridiculous and they kept on changing the air hostess to come to me to explain that we haven’t charged you extra on the international flight. These are the prices and also you’ve got a filtered coffee which is an extra charge. It clearly shows on the menu , and walked off, saying you can take it up with the head office, my husband’s like why would I take it up with a head office when you’ve charged me clearly I want my refund you would not let a penny off. She was being very rude. I’m just walking off so my husband started recording her and she started throwing a big fuss saying you can’t record me and went and told the pilot and then she came back to me and said she’s going to report me to the police as my husband was recording her, which I thought was very ridiculous and wrong to do this her to do that, and she did this to quite a few passengers being very rude to them as people had ordered food and drinks and were waiting over half an hour and started shouting so you should press the button for us to come to you to remind you basically shall I say, why should we do that when we make the purchase on our food when the trolleys come along we should expect to have to not waiting over half an hour for our stuff. so when the plane landed, the police were already there waiting for my husband to take for questioning as passengers were coming off the plane. They even spoke to the police and said the air hostess was very very rude towards a lot of people and they were charging extra for the food that we purchased and thankfully nothing was done about it and let my husband go just over. The charging us tried to get us in trouble and she had a very cheeky grin on her face as we were leaving the plane thinking that she is going to get my husband in a lot of trouble by the police all worked in our favour as my husband didn’t do anything wrong and the passengers helped us as well by telling the truth are very bad service experience we had don’t use them .
Outbound flight check in - Online check in does not work, online chat had no response after hours. Eventually managed to get through to someone via phone, to be told check in doesn’t always work on their website, and I need to download the app. So frustrating. Inbound flight check in - Paid for seats when holiday was booked, now checked in for the app to ask me to make the payment again! No help to rectify this from online platforms. Your website recommends messaging on WhatsApp, doesn’t work unless you want an unhelpful auto response. Message on Facebook, doesn’t work as no longer active. Message on their live web chat with no response after hours. Exactly how I want to be spending the last afternoon of my holiday, sorting this out! Absolute joke.
It really pains me to write a positive review for Sun Express as we had a complete disaster of a trip a few years ago where they gave away all of our reserved seats for a large group. They did not seem to care or be very bothered about anything and I did not get a refund or even an apology. Fast forward to June 2025 and things have changed significantly on my return trip from Bristol to Antalya. The booking process seems as good as any other airline with online check with airport check in also required for luggage. The planes were on time within 15-30 minutes of the departure time and the planes were very clean and comfortable. Was I lucky this time? Maybe, but I will be booking with them again.
Easy booking and good service on line
The booking process was frustrating because it wouldn’t accept my email domain, forcing me to create a Gmail account to proceed. Additionally, my session kept timing out before I could complete the booking, which meant I had to restart the process for 5 passengers. If the experience starts like this, I can't help but wonder what to expect by the end of the trip.
Online check in wouldn't work for us, I took screen shots to prove we had tried multiple times. We queued for 50mins to check in and were informed we would have to pay, while we were not happy we agreed to pay as we were told it would be €25. We told her to go ahead, suddenly the price changed to €100, i asked for an explanation as to the price increase and instead of explaining it to us she proceeded to shout and be extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked her to stop shouting so we could resolve the issue and she responded with "Listen lady, get out of my queue" and ripped up our boarding passes. In all my years of travel I have never been met with such terrible customer service and downright rudeness. We left the queue and went to the Sunexpress desk where we thankfully met a very helpful staff member who tried to help us check in online. When we went through the process with him, he accepted the problem was with the App and not us. We were not charged in the end but it made for a very stressful trip that we could have done without with three kids in tow. I will never fly with sunexpress again, they really need to teach customer service to the check in staff.
Turen til Tyrkiet var fra DK rigtig fin. MEN fra Antalya 19.6.25 kl. 6.10 - et er forsinkelse noget andet er service, den var ikke til stede. Jeg havde købt et sæde på række 2 men havde desværre et defekt sæde. Flyet var langt fra booket op, og jeg spurgte om jeg måtte få nyt “tomt” sæde skrå bag familien. Men personalet, ville ikke vække en mand som havde lagt sigt til rette hen over 3 sæder, samme med sædet bag ham. Så to tyrkiske mænd måtte belejre 6 sæder. Absolut ikke ok selvom det er et lavpris, så kan servicen godt være der. Dårligt og skuffende.
Excellent service. Departed on time. Check in simple. Cabin crew really friendly and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more and will use again and again.

payed for 2 cans of Coke Zero 2 cups of tea and a snickers bar on return flight from turkey ( should have been 21 euros) when I arrived home and turned my phone on I got a bank notification for a payment of 83 euros from sunexpress .... I've reported as Fraud because I can't think of anything else it could be !!
Achtung Abzocke scheint geplant zu sein, wie viele haber ein online eingecheckt, trotzdem mussten wir pro Person am Flughafen Antalya noch extra € 5,- für das Ticket bezahlen. Unkompetente Angestellte der Airline. Ich fliege nie wieder mit dieser Fluglinie.
