I bought two tickets via Presale on Livenation/Music Today for the July, 23 2010 Jack Johnson concert @ the Verizon Wireless Center. My seating was printed as Section SEC G, Row O, Seats (5, 6). Recently I needed to buy another ticket. I went to the Jack Johnson website to go the general ticket sale website and got to ticketmaster.com. I did all the “best available” options and the seating that came up was Section C Row O Seats 22. How was the general open sale able to get better seats rather than with the presale? I’m very confused. I have contacted both Livenation and Music Today. Livenation by email and Music Today by phone. Both were unresponsive and unhelpful. Livenation only told me that I had the “wrong order number” and Musictoday repeated the phrase “all sales are final” and that they didn’t decide what tickets they were given despite what conditions were. I assumed that I would get better tickets (meaning closer to the stage, lower pavilion) if I used presale but instead I got upper pavilion. The tickets I got from, ultimately, MusicToday (Livenation refuses they didn’t sell me the tickets, although they did BUY and now OWN MusicToday) are worse than the ones I could have gotten during the general ticketing process. I feel used and dissapointed that Jack Johnson’s managment, etc. could have chosen to support a company such as Music Today when they obviously have no interest in ticketing enjoyable concerts but do in making money. I know now to never presale or buy from Music Today.
