Horrible experience. I rented the car for purposes to drive into the US. I didn't realize in the fine print there was terms that restrict me from doing that. I called IMMEDIATELY after booking to cancel and they wouldn't let me. They wouldn't let me talk to a manager. They promised call back and never called. They were extremely unhelpful and they have done this many times before.

After an hour of repeated attempts for Routes online booking, it finally was confirmed. Maybe the website was overloaded with activity?? Good value company as I have used them numerous times in Denver.
If you are late for pickup they will keep all your money for six days even if you are only a couple hours late. They are a scam company be aware. They always send this same response but when you contract then they send you an email saying we are right you are wrong you should have read the fine print. Even though I phoned the office ahead of time and they said I could pick up the following day. Beware they will scam you every chance they get.
100% bait and switch scam. I paid in full for the car and insurance for 5 days on Travelocity. Pick up time was 10:30am, my flight was delayed so I arrived at 1:30pm; 3 hours late. They told me that instead of a free shuttle from the airport it would cost $800 pesos because I wasn't on time. When I got to the rental car office, they told me that because I was 3 hours late, they gave my car to someone else (even though I prepaid in full for 5 days). Worse, they next told me that my reservation with Travelocity was canceled because I was late, and wouldn't be honored. They'd be happy to help me out by still renting me a car though (I was now 5 miles from the airport) at a much higher rate, and of course since i didn't have my Travelocity insurance which I paid in full for) I had to purchase their ridiculously expensive insurance (which usually ends up getting lied about and pushed on you because the company and counter rep get most of the premium in commission). Turns out my reservation with Travelocity wasn't even canceled like the counter rep said either, I had to call Travelocity to get it canceled and refunded. So I took a cab to Avis and rented there.
I liked the thing that waiting time for call was less than 5 min and got required info quickly. One recommendation for improving customer service is don't be in so hurry to disconnect the call that you don't get time to greet customers!
routes not even worth the one star! what a rip-off. you show up at counter after long flight, reservation in pocket, but, NO, agent doesn’t accept insurance selected. I rented a car for $120 for 3 days and ended up paying $338!!! extortion! as most other rental car offices are now closed and here you are, off-airport, in middle of nowhere, with the only option is to take $120 loss and walk or purchase a ridiculous insurance of $74/day EXTRA. Dont fall for this scheme!!!
I will not go into detail as you do not deserve any more of my time. Fix your website so it blocks customers that are in town from renting from your establishment. UPDATE: Now you want me to sign a waiver stating that I made a false claim to my credit card company and then you will give me my monies back? Good luck with that......

Puerto Rico Location - I wont even give this company 1 star. I reserved a 7 passenger SUV for 3:30 pm when my flight was coming in. I get there at 3:50pm (because of a delay with the airline) and waited in line to get my car until 4:15pm. When I finally get to the counter I was told that they didn't have any more SUV and that I got there late. I needed the big SUV because I have a lot of people to move around. The proceeded to be nasty and the manager was useless and didn't want to even speak with me. They then decide to give me a sedan that look like was hit by a tornado all messed up. I refuse the car cause I needed an SUV. While arguing with them another rental comes in still not an SUV and I tell them i will take that car since I need to get to my destination and it was very clear that no one was willing to accommodate me. I waited another hour since they had to check the car and clean it. Well the car was not clean, sand every where chocolate stains all over the seats and dashboard. The experience was awful and that worth the money. Please be careful and don't rent form this company is not worth the stress and the time.

À FUIR, DES VOLEURS ! J’ai demandé une prolongation de location, qu’ils ont acceptée sans me fournir de contrat mis à jour. Lors de la restitution, mon mari et moi étions présents, et l’agent nous a confirmé qu’il n’y avait rien à payer. Pourtant, après coup, ils ont prélevé une somme exorbitante de mon compte bancaire sans mon autorisation sous prétexte d'un 2e conducteur et d'1h40 de retard (FAUX). Comportement MALHONNÊTE. Je déconseille fortement cette compagnie.
I booked a trip with Priceline.com and Routes was given to us as the rental car agency. I was not thrilled that they used a no name car rental agency. We had a beautiful flight with Jet Blue and landed at Tampa International at 7pm. My wife was in a wheel chair and after retrieving our abundant luggage I followed directions to the car agency. Unfortunately they do not have a rental desk within the terminal, so directions indicated to go to the end of rental desks to the elevator and go down to the first floor go out to the sidewalk and call for a shuttle bus. When I called the number I was told that they had closed at 7pm and I could pic up the car the next day. We had reservations at a hotel in Dunedin Florida about 40 miles away, so I called Priceline and they tried to get the car agency to make an exception for us. I got a call back from Priceline telling me I could wait until tomorrow morning or go and rent from another agency. I had to pay cash up front for $376.00 instead of the $192.00 I had already paid through Priceline. Of course Priceline refunded my money immediately but I had financed the whole trip though Affirm so the credit went to them. So I had to take cash away from my trip funds. I didn't mention the worst of all that my wife and I are both seniors and my wife is disabled and I have medical issues too! We were abandoned 1200 miles away from home without reasonable transportation. Do not let any travel agency book you with a non recognizable named car rental agency, especially Routes!
Entering your customer information is horrible and it constantly resets to zero date entered
We happened to deal with Gurleen she was very helpful and polite. We wanted jeep and she tried her best to make jeep available.
