If you're looking for a rental car, ignore any Routes listings!!

If you're looking for a rental car provider for an upcoming trip, skip any ROUTES listings you come across. It may look like a good deal but it isn't. They're just like the dumpster fire that is Spirit Airlines. They use an "Ala Carte" pricing model that can add hundreds of dollars to your reservation. So, you think you're saving money, but you're really not in the end. And, if you do make the mistake of booking a vehicle through Routes own website and end up finding a better deal elsewhere or need to cancel your reservation for any reason, YOU'RE NOT GETTING A REFUND. That's right... All prepaid reservations are non-changeable, non-cancelable, and non-refundable. You're just F'd and they rent the very same car again to another idiot who thinks they're getting a smoking deal. Since I'm an idiot and already made the mistake of booking a rental through Routes for 9-days this upcoming March and I don't need that vehicle anymore, my plan is to collect the car at the Calgary airport and park it so they can't rent it to anyone else.

Christmas Vacation success with Routes!

We arrived from the states for a week long vacation with our son and his family. Arrived at the office at 8am on Monday morning and was checked in my RAJ. She couldn’t have more helpful and extremely pleasant. When returning the car, check-in took two minutes, and van service was prompt. Highly recommend!!

Frustrating and Unaccommodating…

Frustrating and Unaccommodating Experience We rented a car from Routes in Colorado through Expedia, and the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. When we picked up the car, we realized Routes has a “no early drop-off” policy, which immediately caused an issue because their business hours didn’t align with the time we needed to be at the airport. We asked if we could drop the car off earlier and receive a refund for the unused day. Routes told us they couldn’t help since the payment was made through Expedia and directed us to contact them. When we called Expedia, they said they couldn’t assist without checking with Routes. After Expedia contacted Routes, Routes refused to provide any refund, even though they said we could return the car early. Essentially, we’d still be charged the full price regardless of returning it early, which makes no sense. What’s baffling is that Routes charges fees for dropping a car off late or at another location, yet they refused to accommodate an early return request or adjust the cost. The back-and-forth between Routes and Expedia wasted our time and left us paying for a day we didn’t use the car. The lack of flexibility, accountability, and customer service from both Routes and Expedia was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend renting from Routes or booking through Expedia if you’re looking for a hassle-free experience.

Routes should not be on your route, pick a different route.

I rented an SUV at Routes Orlando, was delivered a dirty car and not full tank although paperwork said full and tire pressure low. When I called to point out these deficiencies I was told to put air in the tire. I had rented the car for 11 days and had to put air in the tire every day as it kept going to 29 psi instead of 40, at a cost of $2-4 dollars each time. Customer service said I should have rearranged my plans to return to their facility and exchange the vehicle. I guess they wanted me to wash it too.

My first time renting from this agency and Ezekiel made my experience great as he went through the process of renting easy and simple. I think he has a positive vibes attitude and would definitely recommend and rent from him again. He went above and beyond to make my trip easier!!

ROUTES IS TERRIBLE : STAY AWAY !!!

ROUTES is TERRIBLE at CUSTOMER SERVICE ! They will Ding you for additional charges & then their customer service will Run in Circles over the matter without resolving anything! Also their Airport service at Chicago O'Hare (ORD) is PATHETIC ! Their Airport Shuttle has the Worst Frequency . JUST DONT USE THEM EVER !!!

It was not a pleasant experience at FLL

It was not a pleasant experience at FLL. After taking more than 1/2 hour to get a shuttle from the airport to an offsite facility, It took more than another hour to get service as there was only one service agent for more than 8 parties standing in line to be handled. Everyone that was serviced ahead of me had the same questioning of having to purchase insurance separately, this was not included in the rental fee and was never mentioned ahead of time. When purchasing the rental online it gives you the impression that you pick up and drop off the vehicle at the airport but that is not the case and nowhere is the address of the drop-off mentioned. There is insufficient and incomplete instructions.

This company seems kinda sketch but…

This company seems kinda sketch but Steven at the service desk at Denver Airport made all the difference and gave me a great experience. They didn’t have the 4wd car I reserved and their policy required me to pay more for an upgrade (didn’t want that) and Steven took care of things. Their shuttle is real infrequent btw you might be better of paying $20 for an Uber I waited about an hour to be picked up. Steven’s great tho he should probably be the manager or CEO of the whole corporation and would improve things. I give the company 3 stars and Steven 6 stars. Update: in response to company’s reply below. You didn’t offer me a similar car. I needed AWD or 4WD for snowy mountain roads and reserved 4WD and you offered me a 2WD sedan as a “similar model” to the original 4WD for the same price. That’s not a similar model, it’s a downgrade. The options were downgrade to a car I couldn’t use for my mountain trip and pay full price, or upgrade for an extra $20 per day just to get the same thing I’d originally paid for (4WD) and a bunch of bells and whistles I didn’t need. Stephen made it so that I only had to pay $5 extra per day by overriding company policy. Thanks S. As for the shuttle…that’s bs. Your shuttle runs like once per hour to Denver airport terminal. There were like 12 of us waiting for at least 45 minutes. All different flight times. All reserved in advance. Every other company had at least 3-4 loops of shuttles with the same drivers in the time I was waiting. I even made jokes about it to one of the Avis drivers who replied, “don’t worry, they’ll definitely be here by tomorrow.” In general, you should listen to feedback and take responsibility for your company’s issues so that you can improve and be more successful. Instead of gaslighting customers who are offering constructive feedback and making excuses. Classic corporate nonsense downgrading to 3 stars for your responsibility-evading reply to my review thanks
