I both through a third party, I accidentally purchased 1am the day prior to needing it, I called the rental company first and explained my mistake, seconds after I booked it, they directed me to the third party, which was fine. They said they could not change the dates .... I said it's fine, I'll eat the extra day. I arrived at O'Hare airport the following day, thinking my car would be available still. They said since it was 24 hours after I was supposed to pick up, I will have to repurchase it. I disputed the fee with the third party. I booked direct and received the vehicle for the multiple days. ....... To find out there's an extra cost for out of state, I flew into O'Hare, but working in Milwaukee throughout the weekend.
My service counter experience was great and informative. But the business practices with this company are atrocious. I will be interested if they survive another year with how unprofessional and helpful their practices are. As I said, my counter experience was informative and helpful. Just this business is trash. Be cautious and upfront with all decisions made when booking through a third party, and it's better off renting a car direct from them.... If this is your only option for a semi affordable vehicle.
