Awful service. Keep cancelling my Orthopaedic appointment or rearranging it to inconvenient times. No one takes personal responsibility and phone numbers often go unanswered. I've asked my PMI provider to switch me to an alternative hospital.
Went for a left hip replacement, and the care and attention I received was second to none ,All the nurses, physio and catering side were exceptional. The meals were delicious ..Highly recommend Nuffield 5star treatment
I had a botched rhinoplasty surgery at Nuffield in the Vale in December 2024 which I paid for independently. I complained and was refunded fully as the surgery had been performed so poorly by a ‘Professor’ in ENT and facial plastic surgery. Although my complaint was well managed by Nuffield, I have since found out that the ‘Professor’ who performed the procedure on me has had numerous complaints made about him within both the NHS and private sectors AND is currently being investigated by the GMC - this was ascertained after a FOIA was obtained by myself. I also coincidentally found out he is currently being represented by a Cardiff Law Firm! Whilst I understand the GMC ultimately decide whether to allow a surgeon to continue operating during investigations, what baffles me is how Nuffield can allow a surgeon with such high revision rates, endless complaints, with questions of his surgical and professional ability raised by others within the medical field to still be allowed to operate on patients? I would also like to add this doctor removes all negative reviews from his Doctify which is also incredibly misleading to prospective patients and frustrating to myself as I have no way of warning anyone else not to even consider surgery with him. I am now left with functional and aesthetic issues I did not have prior to surgery, and am facing a complex operation to resolve the issues caused by this ‘Professor’ - this could all have been avoided had Nuffield put the safety and well being of its patients first and banned him from their operating theatres.
The gym always has so many out of service machines that they do not get fixed for months which means when the gym is busy you have to wait for some such as the cross trainer.
When they do a class on the gym floor all the smaller weights are taken so if not in the class then you cannot use half the equipment.
The TV’s they have in front of the cardio machines, if you’re lucky enough for the channels not the be frozen, one has a kids channel so something like pepper pig (unsure who they think is watching this), the other usually is a really old sporting event, one maybe just some pictures of locations and if you’re lucky the news, none with subtitles turned on…
The steam room is usually broken or is just rubbish and is not even warm and very little steam.
The gym does not even provide tissues in the changing rooms or in the gym so when in gym you just hear people snotty and sharing their germs.
The staff are incompetent, so many admin errors! I would stand over them if you ever need them to do something or you want to raise a complaint.
When going into the gym the staff are usually talking among themselves so not acknowledged when entering.
Overall wouldn’t recommend this gym 😂
I had a first class experience at the Taunton Nuffield. It was for a minor procedure with a dermatologist and I received excellent care and attention. I was treated with respect and dignity. Everything was thoroughly explained to me about what would happen and how to look after the wound. I wasn’t kept waiting at all. They were very efficient. The hospital was very clean. I was given all the instructions I needed and the paperwork when I left. And to finish off I was sent information prior to date of procedure and sent several reminders by email and a letter was sent in the post with all the information I needed. Everything was done properly. So high praise for them at the Taunton Nuffield. Thank you.
Ms Kaushik , what a great Consultant & Surgeon !
Very thorough, focused and competent . I had an Hysteroscopy with Polypectomy yesterday and today I feel virtually no pain at all. The whole experience was made as comfortable as possible with an excellent anaesthetist and nursing staff . This is the 2nd op I have had in the past 12 months in this hospital and both times have been as best as you could hope for .
I complained a week ago regarding there Finance Department taking me to A Private Debt Agency for an invoice that I had paid for 8 months earlier.
Having sent copies of my Bank Statement and copies of letters.
Ben from Nuffield Health replied on here and told me it was being looked into.
Unfortunately I have had no response from Nuffield Healthcare Directors or Apologies or even confirmation that they have received my complaint.
Why no reply from Nuffield or there Debt Agency ???
Very stressful and let's the overall experience down as there hospital treatment was First Class.
I went for physio treatment from Nicholas Sutton , who was really good , thanks to him I am back running again and I still do the exercises he gave me
Excellent job
The receptionists where also very helpful
Huge contrasts between the care side and the administrative side. Quite frankly the administration is decidedly blunt and rude and as this tends to be the department of the company you deal with towards the end of treatment it leaves a nasty taste.
As a self funding customer I asked for some help on the hospital invoice which gives one line "Hospital Fee". Recovery from a knee replacement has a lot of physio, a cost which I could recover part of through an insurance policy I have. Having politely asked for an idea of physio costs in the bill of £14,000 plus, the reply I received was:-
"Our packages do not breakdown any costings so we are unable to provide any costings in respect of physio costs.
The package prices are done a one line price."
I can only draw the conclusion that there must be considerable costs that are unjustifiable. Very poor and it has left a very sour taste!
I joined the Chislehurst gym about 3 weeks ago and I think it's great, it has everything I need and it's never too busy. Emily made joining so easy and was very friendly and helpful.
I was welcomed by Macy from the reception team, who was very polite and bubbly. She created my pass for me quickly and was really efficient. I asked if I could have a quick tour. She called her manager immediately to do a tour for me. I barely had time to go to the waiting area that he came there within 2 mins. Clinton the manager, was also super welcoming and friendly, explained bits about every area of the club while also answering my queries inbetween. I had a specific question about modest swimswear and what the club is ok with in the pool area as I'm jewish. He was very understanding of what my query was and explained that members with modest swimwear are welcome and this is not an issue. Both Macy and Clinton are an amazing example of what a welcoming premium club should look like, especially for religious gym goers which other premium gyms do not cater for or where staff are unable to answer or assist with the above queries. I really appreciate your assistance today :)
Both my children are progressing really well in stages 2&7. I was able to get class times that suit us and Sharon who coordinates the swim school has been really helpful making it easy to book and top up.
I have recently joined Chichester Nuffield gym I use the swimming pool and gym equipment. I am very happy with all it has to offer and the staff are lovely. There is a mixture of all ages which makes me feel better as sometimes gyms can be full of young males using all the equipment.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Appreciate the cheerful welcome from reception when entering the building. Only problem I have is that there are very few lockers with safety pins attached to the keys. Where there are lockers with keys causes congestion with so many people changing in the same area!
