My experience at Nuffield was just so amazing, I was treated with utmost respect from the time I arrived to the time I left, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff on the ward, from the catering to the consultant, I received 100% care from everyone.
Woking Nuffield Hospital is outstanding for patient care and kind staff. Highly recommended
Awful experience. Wanted try gym before deciding membership in Hemel. They didn't tell me about entering registration number. Got a £100 charge. Showed them proof of gym trial and they still want to charge me
My children have been attending swimming classes here for some time now and they absolutely love them. They are making great progress and most of all - they really enjoy swimming. Emma is a truly exceptional instructor. Her connection with children is just amazing! She's passionate, caring, supportive and patient and the classes are dynamic and fun. I have already recommended her hundred times and will continue to do so. Thank you, Emma.
From my first visit until now the attention and care given to me was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. I felt relaxed and in capable hands. All information was given good and bad. Everyone introduced themselves and were all very professional and friendly
The trainers are welcoming and understanding. The classes are fun and I am always looking forward to skills edge and bodypump. The swimming pool is never too busy. Would do with a bigger steam room and modern shower rooms, though. The place is usually clean thanks to the cleaners who are actively do their work. Ohh, did I mention the view. The gym is overlooking the Medway river. The best sight to work out to! I love Nuffield..
These guys are the pits, Ilford branch, from been put into the wrong contract, any gym, and then when trying to use that service been restricted and asked to pay more, to rude and abusive receptionists, to non existent management who ignore all my emails for help, I will never join again!!! Avoid like the plague!!
UPDATE 15/04/25: If self-funding, insist on Nuffield declaring fees or get ambushed! I was told I would pay 'no more than' £230 at the end of a 15 consultation...it was just full price! Fees are generally non-competitive and the most that you're likely to pay for services anywhere. Overall, the medical service and support at Nuffield Hospital (Ipswich) is great. The rooms and food options were also very nice. However, examination room doors were casually left open in full view of the waiting room during pre-op appointments. Nurses were flustered and could have delivered a more professional service with a little thought and without any more time and effort. Admin was particularly poor with letters that advised incorrect details (appointment times), unexplained changes (date changed but looked like an error) and were sometimes unreadable and badly printed.
I had my second total knee replacement last week, the first being on the 10th August last year, I love the fact I was an NHS patient but was treated like a private one, the care i have received was excellent to say the least, the Holy House is like being sent to a family run hospital, it felt like a five star hotel apart from knowing I was there for a big operation, staff from the bottom up are so helpful and caring i met such lovely people but did not manage to take all there names, but the first day of my first operation i met Lisa Franks who totally took me under her wing bless her and made me feel safe, and again she was there it just so happens to meet me on my second, i also met with a lovely lady Vicki Dieldelius who also made me feel special, but i can honestly say the time i spent in this hospital was a pleasure which made my very big operations so much more worth while
I started the Chester Joint Pain Program over 18 months ago. Justin who runs the course is wonderful, so knowledgeable, friendly, funny and so encouraging for each and everyone of us to reach our individual goals. I can’t fault it, after the course ended, individuals from Justin’s classes meet up and we still do our own exercises together as it really helps our health problems.
This was an excellent programme. From being virtually immobile, I have gained some flexibility and found I enjoyed the gym. Without this program I would never have exercised in a gym.
My experience from surgeon to nurses to catering all very professional thank you.
I had a hip replacement at Nuffield Hospital. The care I received was amazing from the time I stepped inside the building until I left. I would definitely recommend this hospital.
Emma Craker's swimming lessons provided a positive and effective learning experience. Her teaching approach balances technical expertise with patience, adapting well to individual needs and abilities. I appreciated how she breaks down swimming techniques into manageable steps and offers consistent encouragement when facing challenges. For anyone looking to learn or improve their swimming skills, Emma's professional instruction is a solid choice.
Its worst gym to join. They like to take money, but because of your health you can not go still take your money and to cancel they ask the letter from the hospital where it says person should not drive and do any exercise. I wrote so many emails and give proof of my appointments but no they want letter where it says i should not do any exercise. its like i am just making it i don't understand it's my health when i know i can't drive and do any exercise. Even after giving the letter from the hospital they refused to give me refund of £100, but luckily they stop ed taking money out of my accout. I am had eye surgery and have some complication and having pace maker on 10th march. Managers in chingford gave me so much stress,When they knew how is my health.
My kids attend swimming lessons with Emma Craker here. With all honesty she has been one of the best instructors and the kids really enjoy their lessons. I can already see a significant progression in their skills with even few lessons and my daughter has built much more confidence than she did with months of taking her to better lessons. Don’t regret switching over. Keep up the good work
I joined the gym 3 months ago on a 12 month contract, which I deeply regret. Staff are dismissive & unapproachable, a lot of equipment is broken & they don't seem to care to fix them. Half of the lockers in the mens changing room are broken, and the other half tend to break when you use them meaning you have to wait for someone to come and crowbar it open. Main reason I joined was for sauna and steam room, which are great if you are lucky to get in. Often times recently there has been a lifeguard outside operating a one in, one out as maximum capacity of 15 tends to be a regular occurance. Memberships over £100 a month, aside from there being the sauna and steam you would get a better service at a 24 hour gym such as GymGroup or Puregym for 1/3 of the price
Hernia op at Littleover, Derby From initial consultation to operation to discharge, felt valued and respected. Everyone caring and clear explanation of pathway to be taken.
This review is based on the inpatients ward department of York .When you go to outpatients, it is very clean , drinks machine , very professional and lovely staff , and the consultants are amazing ! .The problem is when you have to have treatment that requires an overnight stay ! .The place where the rooms are is very dated , some of the staff are lovely , some are just plain bully's with no compassion , the room I had was disgusting, the shower was peeling from the wall , it had ground in dirt , the room I was in had polystyrene tiles with stains on , there was a TV with only 2 channels available , and the furniture came out of a care home from the 80s, i could probably have overseen this , had it not been for the lack of care I received as an inpatient ,I have been sent home without anyone checking me over , no information whatsoever, I unfortunately had the same experience prior , a few years back and was told then, it was due to having agency staff - it's not !.but i belived them and so I stupidly used them again. The problem is due to poor greed at the top, and lack of care , take your money and go somewhere else! . I wouldn't normally write a review like this , but I have noticed you can't leave reviews anywhere for there inpatients department, and the only thing they send you is about your experience about the consultant, which then, when you Google Nuffield- makes them look like they receive 5 star reviews , they really are getting away with treating patients poorly , and it's not acceptable.
