Michaels cancelled order with half of the order shipped out
Ordered clay and was a short amount from getting free shipping. I ordered 2 bags of beads just to get the shipping free. (basically paid for the beads) I did not want the beads, I only wanted the clay, but it covered the shipping. Four days later, I contact them on chat to ask why it's still processing. They said it takes 2 business days. I said fine, I hope it gets sent out tomorrow. I can't cancel, because the beads were already sent out, and I didn't want to pay for just the beads. The next day, they sent me an email saying they cancelled my order at my request. I wrote back and told them that I DID NOT CANCEL my order, In fact, I said the EXACT opposite in the chat! They did not write back. Today, I tried chat, and the wait was too long, I had to call them, and they told me they cancelled the clay because it was out of stock. I told them my situation, and to refund me for the beads, I will write return to sender on the package and send them back. They said no, to wait for them to get here and return them to the store. I told them Michaels is an hour away and my car uses 93 octane, I'm not going to spend 20$ in gas to return 12$ of beads. They said I have to wait for them to get here, call them back when they arrive and get a return label issued and drop it off at a UPS location. I said fine, can you at least issue a gift card in the amount of the beads for the trouble they have caused. (1 week later, I have no clay, and now I have to order from someone else, etc. etc.) They said no. Well, I'm shopping at Hobby Lobby from now on, It's a lot closer, and they have much better customer service.
