Horribly Overpriced $107 For 6 Small Paint Brushes

I went to Michael’s looking for mop paint brushes. Seemed like only half of them were in stock, but I chose 6 brushes, with only a couple options (got the last ones). I get to the checkout and it was about $107.50. The cashier was ready for me to pay that. Yikes, so I tried to use my 25% off coupon, nope that coupon only works online. Okay so I got 20% off and the 6 brushes were $86. These were not large, but SMALL 1/2 inch and 3/5 inch brushes. I have never been so horrified to pay for something. I was upset and looked online in my car to see if they would be cheaper somewhere else, 2 of the brushes I found for $11 each with free shipping. Went back inside with those two brushes to return them and got $34 back. 34-22= $12 difference. Sadly I couldn’t find the other brushes online, so that I could return them all. I genuinely feel like I got ripped off and will not be shopping at Michael’s again. These brushes did not even have natural hairs, they are synthetic. You are so much better off looking in store to see what you’re looking for and then search for it somewhere else. I have never felt so disappointed making a purchase which compelled me to write a review. I would have no problem spending that amount of money if these were the highest of quality natural hair brushes. But that’s such a difficult thing to order online without seeing and touching it to tell if it’s what you need.

I purchased 15 grapevine wreaths 3…

I purchased 15 grapevine wreaths 3 different times. The first shipment was great. So I ordered 15 more wreaths. The second wreaths shipment was not so good but I trimmed them and was able to use them. Hoping my 3rd order would be like the first or at least the second order. Omg the 3rd order was sooo bad. If you had a place on your site to download pictures I would send them and you could see for yourself how bad they are. My order number is 1299.

I have been a Michael’s customer for many years. Each time I enter the store, I always feel welcomed. I get inspired by so many items and always leave with way too much stuff and can’t wait to begin my next project. Staff is awesome. Thank you for being my go-to place always. I never leave disappointed. 😁

Two times now I have called Michaels…

Two times now I have called Michaels asking if an item was in stock. Put me on hold for over 20 minutes yesterday. You item was in stock. I verified it again and person was a bit testy that I was questioning. So we are an hour away from the nearest Michaels or Joanns and Hobby Lobby. So we take the drive and they told me they didn’t have it. Not only did they not have it, but told me they don’t even carry it. This is the second time. Today I placed an online order for 2 little items and paid for it. Got the email, drove again and they tell me it’s not ready. So they had to send someone home early but there were a couple on the floor talking amongst themselves. So had to wait till someone would take the time to fill it. No more! Joanna knows how to treat their customers and is also timely and never have we been told wrong. They will get my business from now on.

Nice, but the smell....

Basically it is as clean and well organized store. Employees walking around avoid contact, not asking if you are finding what you need even walking away if they see you coming. The store pipes in scents, so when you walk in it overwhelms you and makes you want to run out or at least run to back of store where scent is gone.

I wanted to rave about your employee

I wanted to rave about your employee, Sam, at Tempe Marketplace. I was looking for flats of mason jars and I couldn’t find them. Sam walked around the store three times until she found them for me. She was so nice and had such a great smile, I think you need to give her a raise😀

Do not buy from Michael's unless you want to get scammed

I got scammed for $300+. I bought a Cricut Maker for $299 from Michael's in April and got a UPS SMS confirmation at around noon several days later that they delivered the item and was left in our apartment building's locker room -- not inside the Amazon Hub lockers (I didn't receive any code), just on the floor, I assume -- despite several posters inside and outside the room that all deliveries that are not placed inside the lockers should be delivered to the apartment unit's front door. When I got home after work at around 5:30, no boxes from Michael's or Cricut. I reported it to Michael's and they said that they wouldn't refund me because UPS told them they successfully delivered the item. I disputed UPS' claim saying that the item was not delivered to the exact address written on the shipping label and they still said they did despite providing them photos of the posters I mentioned above. Basically, Michael's don't want to refund me for the item I did not receive. And UPS is saying they delivered it successfully even though they basically delivered the item in an unsecured place and not on the delivery address. Both companies haven't responded to my last email since they concluded they were able to deliver the item properly. They didn't even attempt to ask me for any details. If you are to buy something from them, might as well go to the store physically. But don't expect good aftersales service. This company is the absolute worst at it.

What a rip

Nothing wrong with customer service, I'm talking about buy one get one free, I looked at the ad for a frame and seen the size I wanted was $12.00, went down to purchase one and they were now $24.00 with bogo free, I didn't want two, what a rip.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Plan on waiting in line for a long time. ALWAYS only one register open. Never any employees available on the floor for customer help. Inventory is not adequate on high volume items.

Cashier Kudos

It's unfortunate that the store nearest me closed a couple of years ago. However, I needed some frames and ventured to the Brookfield location twice recently. Just wanted to say that Cai might be the most wonderful cashier I've ever encountered. Cheerful and helpful without being overbearing. Kudos to Cai!

What a rip

What a rip. I had considered purchasing a back light but if was 90 dollars. Michaels sent me 3 different coupons from 10 to 30 percent off. When I tried to apply them I was told they did not pertain to what I was purchasing. I read each coupon twice. There was nothing that made my purchase unable to utilize their coupons. Thank heaven we also have a Hobby Lobby store. Will never use Michael's again!!!

I spent $2,100.00 on framing during the…

I spent $2,100.00 on framing during the 70% off sale. ( 3 items) The quality is poor, workmanship is poor and I can not comment on the customer service since they disconnected my call after being on hold for 18 minutes. When I called back to ask for managers name, they refused to give a name and put me on hold again, to be disconnected. Also, after waiting a month, they told me my order was finally ready, yet only 2 of the 3 were done. But the quality and workmanship is what breaks my heart. And no one cares in the company. They chose to protect a managers name than satisfiy a customer.

I had the receipts both times I had to…

I had the receipts both times I had to return items. I bought a few items and paid CASH. I returned one item and put a new purchase towards the return, which I got change back from. Then I had to return two items, one from the original receipt. THEY GAVE ME STORE CREDIT EVEN THOUGH I PAID CASH and HAD THE RECEIPTS. Shop HOBBY LOBBY!

Offers are awesome!

I was just passing by and saw the discount sign. I had been to Machaels before and had shopped the discounted items, mostly craft kits for kids and they were very good, so I entered the store and again found lots of nice merchandise at a very good price. Bought more than needed! When you see the discount sign go in and take a look. It is worth it!
