Staff at all 3 local stores are amazingly helpful.

We have 3 stores in my local area. I usually shop at the one closest to my home but if they don't have the particular item I am looking for I will check the other locations. I have to say that here in Ottawa Ont. all 3 locations have wonderful, courteous and well trained staff in the area of product and store knowledge. For some things I find Michael's perhaps a little pricier but not by much and what I love most is that, in many things, they have items of different price points and quality, affording me the opportunity to choose, based on the type of project I am doing, what I am prepared to spend. Being able to see which stores have quantities of the item I want in stock via their website is a huge plus and in these current times having an accurate website and the option to purchase online but pickup same day instore is immensely important as, personally, when I get an idea I don't want to wait several days to get my item(s) and get started.

I shopped @ the Michaels Store

I shopped @ the Michaels Store - 3090 Mountain View Drive, Ste 130 - Anchorage, Alaska 99501 ... Receipt #8-9045-6695-1899-5528-8188-1189-1833-4222 and the service I received from "Sabrina" was EXCELLENT! Your artificial Tulips are on sale and she helped me find all the colors I desired - crunched the cost numbers for me -- and made me LAUGH! She's an Asset to Michaels ... and I just wanted to tell you so!!

GET TAP!!!!!

GET TAP!!!!!! What century are you?? Every other store has tap for debit/credit. Even Walmart caught up! I spent almost an hour shopping to find out at the counter (only at the counter) (not like it was posted at the front door) and waited in almost a 15 minute lineup to find out there’s no tap., complete waste of my time, had to leave. Yes I left my card at home, but at least I can rely on my tab on my phone to pay everywhere else. Was disappointed

The only complaint I have is I have…

The only complaint I have is I have mobility issues I was using your electric cart which I really appreciate but there were boxes in every single isle for restocking so I had a very difficult time getting around your store. I find the boxes in the isles make the store look very disorganized!!

Just thought everyone would like to…

Just thought everyone would like to know that the employees do not keep their word. I was promised a refund by Tonya in June and she still has not refunded my money. I have called and emailed her numerous times and she refuses to call me back or email me. This is not good customer serves!!

FAIL. Once reliable, now unacceptable!

FAIL! I had things framed by Michael's in the past and it was horrendously costly, but they did a good job. Unfortunately, those days are gone. I just spent over $400 to have them frame 4 small pieces. I got home and discovered there's NO WIRE with which to hang them! Instead they now give you a cheap little plastic "leveling device" and then you are required to hammer TWO holes in the wall to accommodate this stupid hanging "system". Apparently they are saving on the cost of wire? I'm taking the se pieces back to have Michael's do it right, but I honestly wish I had just taken these things to the local mall frame shop. They couldn't have done a worse job. FAIL!

Very disappointed that Michaels changed…

Very disappointed that Michaels changed its return policy to 60 days, yet the bolded statement on the receipt still says 180. I tried to return completely unused items, with the receipt, at 70 days after purchase and the cashier and manager could not make an exception. Poor customer service. I will not shop there again,

This is my local craft store

This is my local craft store. I enjoy it very much, my mother recently purchased something for me to pick up, which was a nice surprise and easy to do. This was on the 17th around 5:20pm. Then I continue to shop myself and picked out a few things. Rebecca checked me out And asked if I would write a small review which I never mind to do if it’s to help someone. So thanks Rebecca and thanks for Michael’s for everything!! I look forward to purchasing my fall and holiday decorations.

I went to Michaels to get a basket for…

I went to Michaels to get a basket for creating a gift basket. I asked for assistance on if they had any baskets and was informed that if there were any they would be in this section. So I ended up finding baskets but when checking out I was told that they were for the store display and not for sale. When I asked where I could find baskets I was informed they didn't have any and no alternative recommendations were given despite me asking . I went on the website later that day to find there was some baskets that were available in store at the West Broadway location I was at. A bit disappointed in your lack of customer service Michaels.

The go to store for art supplies & crafts

This is my go to store for art supplies and crafts... There aren't too many art supply stores left unfortunately. Michaels sells both affordable lower end craft supplies as well as high end pricey supplies. Always a huge selection!!! Great for holiday crafts too. As a teacher I buy lots of supplies here to use in the classroom, but the teacher's discount is often LESS than the advertised coupons. Makes no sense! Other disappointing fact is that I received a $10 reward... went to use it and it was expired... rewards expire way too fast!!! Store would not honor the expired reward.

I what I came to buy…

I came to buy what I needed and the store at the Northlake shopping mall had it. This amazes every time I go there, I always find what I need and always at an affordable price. Obviously there are some quality choices but if an item is too expensive for me I always find an alternative next to it. That said, my needs are narrow and that actually is another reason for spending time there, the store’s unbelievable assortment alone is worth the trip. It does inspire! Hope they keep it up.

I am so disappointed

I am so disappointed. At this point, angry! I placed an online order on May 27th. I got an email confirmation. On June 1st, I received an email that my order was on the way for in store pickup. Then I received an email on June 6th that my order was ready for pickup. I drove the Michael’s location for pickup and they told me they did not have it. After waiting an hour and talking to 3 different employees, my order was not found. I called customer service and got nowhere. I have stopped counting the amount of circles I’ve gone around in attempt to locate my order! Over $100! I finally spoke with a very nice lady who was the store manager and she was very apologetic and she did not stop looking until she finally was able to call the post office in their shopping center and locate it in a MAILBOX?! I went to pick it up from the post office and they said it was not there. I do not even live close to this Michael’s location as it’s over a 45 minute drive with kids in my car. So this has been the biggest headache and I just WANT MY MONEY BACK!! Never mind the sale I hit up as a Teacher for my students.

Raven and Sydney went above and beyond!

I had just a few minutes to run into Michael’s for 2 specific items. I found the first item easily but the second item was a pen set that needed to be unlocked by a team member. I found Raven and she quickly assisted me in unlocking the pen set and then off the top of her head, she knew exactly the spot in the store for me to find an additional item that I thought of. Even though she was busy working on another project, she quickly helped me and I appreciated her. Then, as I was checking out, another team member named Sydney helped me save a significant amount by thoughtfully reminding me about a coupon. She didn’t have to do that but I so appreciate that she did! I will be back sooner than later because of these two awesome ladies! Thank you, Raven and Sydney, at the Auburn, AL Michael’s!

The yarn was easy to find and was on sale. I could not find the diamond art so I askedthe saleslady and she very quickly directed me to it. It was a great experience in this Downsview store!

Inadequate Framing Job

I recently picked up a poster I had framed at Michael's (Bissonnet St.Houston). While the framing and matting was excellent, I was extremely annoyed to find the wire hanger was not installed sufficiently. The picture sunk and the wire popped off completely as I tried to hang it on the wall for the first time. I guess I am glad that it didn't fall off the wall and break. I was lucky I was still holding it. When I called the store, I did not get a good resolution. The best I was told was that the manager could call me back in a few weeks when he returned from vacation. I did not want to bring it back into the store and wait again for it to be fixed. I could fix it on my own but I did want them to know that someone has not been trained well and they should make sure this did not happen again. I told them I could send them pictures of the wire that disconnected but I was not willing to make another trip to the store. I paid over $150 for this job. I will think twice before frame with them again.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. I called the customer service to try and find out why I was charged a delivery fee when I said I was going to pick it up at the store. They said it was because I didn’t I individually check off each item to pick up at the store even though it was available and that the system can’t cancel the order. And there is no guarantee that I’ll get my money back for the yarn and the delivery fee…that is the most backwards thing I’ve ever heard.

Third time I've gone into Michael's…

Third time I've gone into Michael's since they moved into a former AC Moore. Overpriced even with app coupons. I'll have to either go to Walmart or order online because no other craft stores nearby. So disappointed and disgusted.
