Every experience I have with my…

Every experience I have with my therapist and my psychiatrist is pleasant and extremely beneficial to me. I am important to them and they make me feel comfortable and welcome.

NO ONE should go to see one of their…

NO ONE should go to see one of their therapists they are a punch of money greedy scammers who care only ripping you off with their outrageous price..I have seen two different psychiatrists who won't provides me with a refill. They want to see you every month to provide you with prescription for control medications so they can bill you 610 dollars every session they dont givea damp about your mental status or frustration..For God sake is that a THERAPY or a ROBBERy??!

They are double billing

They are double billing - they will automatically charge your card for your co pay but then ALSO send a bill for those co pays as if they haven’t been paid. It’s impossible to get ahold of their billing department (going on two hours on hold as I write this). My therapist is OK. She is often distracted during our sessions and seems overworked.

Scam, but there are no choices

I've been forced to use them three times, as my Aetna/Medicare insurance is not accepted by most other psychiatrists. They are VERY suspicious: I did get a prescription from one of their Doctor's Assistants, but it was only valid for a month. To continue my treatment for depression I had to return to them because there are no Medicare-accepting options in my location. I have left them twice, but am forced to return to them for a third time, out if not having a choice! They are a PERFECT scam.

Refused medication

This mental health group doesn’t really care about their patients. My daughter was refused her medication that is very dangerous to cut cold turkey. But because she missed her appointment twice (because of the mental illness) and because of a mistake on their part they refused to refill her medication. Now she needs to be reevaluated to even see if she will be seen. Maybe this company should be reevaluated. Truly disgusting management of lives.

Everything went bad with customer…

Everything went bad with customer service. They get you in quickly but after that its imposible to get real help. It took my a month to reach the Billing Department, they didnt run my insurance, and my online portal keeps blocking my password. The time that It takes to get help ITs unbearable

Horrible

Horrible. This is not the first time I have written a negative review for this place and it has only worsened since LifeStance bought the practice. They don't answer the phone so you can't cancel or change an appointment, THEN THEY CHARGE FOR MISSED APPOINTMENTS YOU WERE UNABLE TO CANCEL and they have zero empathy. NONE. I thought this place was supposed to be for mental health well being but it definitely is not. They throw me into a downward spiral every time I deal with them. I'm done. Never again. I am going to copy and paste all of these reviews on every social platform I possibly can. Totally unethical and unprofessional. 5/26 - update after seeing response: No, thank you. How about you do your own job? I'm not wasting any more of my time or money attempting to get help from your employees, who clearly don't care, knowing there will never be any changes made or that I'll be treated any differently in the future. My mental health can't handle trying to get a stone to bleed. Funny... when I call, no one calls me back but I had no issues getting my bill. Thanks for that.

Unethical and unprofessional billing

I have already filed a complaint with the BBB about this issue but it is worth documenting here. A few weeks ago I received a new statement with a balance of 575 for a service dated in 2022. They are saying it falls on me because I did not provide my new insurance in a “timely manner” and have stated that they have “documented” a single attempt to obtain this new information but have been billing all subsequent services with this new insurance since 2022. First of all, I have not been contacted only until recently about this issue (about two years later) which includes the client portal. I have not been able to speak with someone over the phone who is higher up to address this issue and now have to go back and forth through messaging with some service representative via the client portal that offers no real quality or professional customer service. Calling them is not a feasible option for anyone who works a regular, full time job. I have spent hours waiting on the phone. This whole thing is obscene and as a medical professional who has worked in the healthcare industry and familiar with billing, knows that this falls on Lifestance.

Kennesaw location trying to charge me a…

Kennesaw location trying to charge me a no show fee when I never knew there was policy, neither did I sign a document that I would be in agreement with that. I tried to call numerous times to cancel but no one would answer. The company is trying to go against the law of no surprise billing act. After the fact, I have spoke to 3 people about this bill and they say they will handle it but I keep getting bills and close to being in collection. I will never recommend them. Costumer service starts the moment someone answers the phone or the first person a patient sees

The treatment at this company is…COMPLETLY INCOMPATANT OF RECONIZING SOME ONE WITH TRUE MENTSAL HEALTH ISSUSE AND WILL RIP YOU MEDS AWAY AT A DROP OF THE HAT LEAVING YOU TO SUFFER AND WITHDRAWL BADLY

The treatment at this company is completely incompetent in diagnosing some who have true mental health issues that have been diagnosed by 2 previous doctors and suffers tremendously from anxiety, panic attacks, and difficulty dealing with just completing day-to-day affairs and will just cut off your VERY VITAL AND CRUCIAL MEDS with no regard to the affects it could and will have on that patient. I asked for a new therapist 3 times and I was able to clearly see that the new and previous doctors that I would say are nothing but computers yes and no faces with NO REAL TRAINING. No doctor that has you on a serious long-term mental health medication treatment plan should 'NEVER EVER " just cut your meds off from one day to the other leaving you completely dependent on the meds you've relied on for years in my case a little over 2 years. I spoke to 2 other workers cause I can NOT call them doctors of any sort. Its people like me who truly suffer mentally and need to be treated by so-called therapists who snatch your meds and leave you and your brain to really begin to cook and think of terrible things and begin to have those thoughts of being better off hurting themselves or hurting others. Please take my review seriously. WOULD I OR ANYONE ELSE TAKE ALL THIS TIME TO WRITE THIS EXTENSIVE REVIEW IF THERE WAS NO TRUTH TO WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND HAS CLEARLY HAPPENED BEFORE AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL SOMEONE REALLY GOES THE DEEP END AND LIFESTANCE VIDEO CLERKS FOR THERAPISTS SEE AND FEEL THE WEIGHT OF AN ATROCITY HAPPENING BECAUSE OF THERE INCOMPETENCE.

I had a tele-health with a counselor…

I had a tele-health with a counselor which is no co-payment with my insurance. Well Lifestance health charge me $60 for in person visit, which it’s a lie. I emailed them several times to refund my money,no response about returning my money back. They didn’t tell me that they will charge me for in person service instead of tele- health services. If I would have known that I would have cancel that appointment. I feel if I wanted a in person services I would have requested that.I requested a tele- health appointment only.So don’t charge me for something that I didn’t received. The counselor didn’t follow through sending my helpful information at all. I would not recommend this service. I am very unhappy with this company.

Truth Behind One Star Reviews

Why didn't I read these reviews before choosing a provider? I would've certainly not chosen Lifestance nor would I ever recommend anyone to use them. If you're seeking therapy or competent doctors who genuinely care about your mental health, I would strongly recommend to look far and beyond Lifestance. Trust me and thank me - I used them so you don't have to.

Life stance health is not upfront about…

Life stance health is not upfront about their pricing and refuses to give customers up front costs. The billing department seems to purposefully not answer the phone until it has been an hour and 10 minutes, this has been about the exact timing for the past four times I have called. If you ask for an itemized billing list, the billing department refers you to the provider, the provider tells you to refer to the billing department, or both of them tell you to refer to your insurance company, even though your insurance company is not given insight to billing. This company charges almost triple the fair market value for services, and because they are not up front about prices, customers end up with a surprisingly high bill. I have been trying to understand why my bill is so extremely high for over 6 months and nobody will give me a straightforward answer. On top of this, the therapy session itself was Just not helpful or when I expect it at all. I was going through a lot, and felt like the therapist that I spoke to just wanted to keep things light or to small talk. It felt like they were pushing off topics until the next session, however after the second one and they did not recall any of the things I said to them in the first session I decided to cancel. It was frustrating trying to confide very personal information with a professional just to feel like they were not that interested or not helpful. Overall this company has made me feel very negatively about the mental health industry as a whole. While I know there are some therapists that truly care about their patients, I really don't feel confident in a vast majority of them based on this experience.
