Someone to hear you

Speak with someone that understand what you are going thru. Listen word for word without forgetting conditions I have. Also when papers or documents are needed for work related they are ready on a timely matter. Also their concern about me is always very noticable on messages thru the portal messenger. Very convenient that we can communicate every time I have a concern or breakdown. Thank you

Great place to get back on your feet and back to work!

Fantastic!!! Karlette is awesome as a IOP group leader. Beth was great at finding me the in person IOP group sessions and Karen is a great psychNP. Natalie helped bring it all together. The in person group are all very communicative and actually meet outside of therapy hours. I feel much better starting the process and probably will be able to get back to work so much sooner instead of just languishing at home the every day. Would recommend to all my coworkers.

COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT

This company is completely incompetent in every area - My son first saw Dr. Gulley. She's pretty kind initially, but she clearly isn't a strong note-taker. I had to repeat myself countless times in our appointments. One example; she requested me to obtain letters from my son's teachers, and failed to send the school the necessary request form. His teachers wouldn't release any letters until they received a note from her (this required a lot of coordination on my part mind you). I attempted to contact her multiple times, and by the time I was able to speak to her regarding it, it was during his appointment, and then she had no idea what I was talking about. These types of situations happened all the time. We originally came to her to re-evaluate my son, and she never did. We saw another psychiatrist who was completely baffled on why this wasn't her first plan of action. The billing department is just as awful. They overcharged me and to this day can't justify their charges. After sending 5 messages and complaining to the regional manager, I finally received a complete printout of each charge, but they don't list what each charge is for. The last item, and the most serious - My son was receiving automatic refills on his medication. They suddenly stopped, and nobody notified me. I called immediately to get my son seen asap, (my son's psychiatrist already quit Life Stance at this point), and they notified me that nobody was available until 3 weeks out. I asked if they would prescribe enough medication to get him through until he could be seen, and they said "they aren't allowed too". For those who aren't aware, this is legally considered as medical negligence - If anyone is on a psych medication, it's incredibly dangerous from them to suddenly stop taking it. They could experience a severe psychotic episode and many are committed because of it. Many even become suicidal suddenly. It's EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! I'm not someone to leave bad reviews, but this medical establishment is VERY ALARMING in how they practice. PLEASE PLEASE do your research. Don't entrust your loved one here.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

My family member saw Victoria Walter for the first time and in 20 mins diagnosed them with depression & anxiety. She also prescribed medication. We wanted a second opinion due to the short time frame of the visit and cancelled the follow up. I requested documentation with the diagnosis as there was literally nothing in the patient portal. Victoria Walter then claimed she did not diagnosis my family member. The diagnosis codes were literally the only things on the chart summary. How do you file for insurance and prescribe without a diagnosis??? This is not only shady but very unprofessional. I requested & paid for medical records and was told it would take 2-3 business days. It is now 2 weeks and they still have not provided anything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The BILLING Department truly is Awful

The BILLING Department truly is AWFUL!!! Many times I have CANCELLED or CHANGED an appointment (By thier rules - within 48 hours) and yet they still charge me for missed appointments... The other day I was on hold for 55 minutes when I gave up. Here is another practice that is terrible but I think they have stopped it... LifeStance would schedule an appointment and without your agreement or consent they would schedule 2 consecutive follow ups. So if I did not like the THERAPIST (and that is often) I would get charged for MISSED APPTS.

I Had Telemed appointment with Joann…03/29/2024

I Had Telemed appointment with Joann Gulley on 3/29/2024 at that time she stated she would refill my subscriptons becase she was a new subscriber and diod not want me to run out of my medications.Ms. Gulley stated she would call them in so I would not run out before seeing her in the office. When I left the office 4/2004 she again stated she again that she would refill my prescriptiona. Again this was not done. I am currently out of some medications. Joann was good but her follow up was poor

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. I have called three times over a billing issue. I elected twice the call back feature (keep my place in line). Never a call back. When I call without latter, left on hold for over 40 mins, hung up.

Thankful to have Mr. Dan Cooper

I was thankful to have Mr. Dan Cooper as my counselor for a long time now, who truly has made a positive impact on me. From the moment I met him, i felt supported and welcomed. His genuine compassion made it easy for me to open up about my struggles, and he has helped me find positive ways to navigate them. He has been incredibly supportive and has overall helped me gain self control and find gratitude in my life. Feeling blessed.

Helpful

I have the best doctors that actually listen to what I have to say. They are not dismissive and the customer service at LifeStance is phenomenal! I will call them from time to time when I need help with scheduling and the representative is patient with me and will help me. I would highly recommend anyone to go through with this company. It has been a life changer for me in a positive way!

My counselor is the best of the best.

My experience with this company has been amazing. Danielle Jewell is one of the most caring and compassionate counselors I have ever worked with. Her communication is strong and she is generous with her time and attention. I personally have no negative experiences with this company. I’m a pretty private person so this me putting a LOT out there about this subject. I cannot say enough good things about Danielle. Period. I’ve had little interaction with the rest of the staff, we established communication and it has been flawless since.

My experience

I feel like my experience with life stance has been pretty good, everyone’s nice, the whole process of setting up appointments has been easy. They take the money out of my acct by the next day which is nice! It’s always the same amount each time! I have no issues so far with this company!

BILLING DEPT SUCKS!!

BILLING DEPT SUCKS!!! My insurance tells me I owe one amount and then Lifestance sends me a bill for a huge amount that is incorrect. THIS HAS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY. You CAN'T EVER get someone on the phone and the VERY RARE times you can, you are always given an Excuse their phone system is being fixed, they have new management, etc.... It's always Something! It's just all Truly Unprofessional and a Headache to deal with! I Like Meah McCray alot but I can't afford being over billed and then getting letters that my account is going to collections! This has been going on for a few YEARS now and I am DONE. YES, I SAID YEARS! The only people that can possible be happy are the ones with Medicare, Medicaid or Commercial insurance with No Copay. If you have a Copay stay FAR AWAY from this place!

Unprofessional & Full of Issues

I do NOT recommend going here. Not only did one of their psychiatrist try to guide me towards a fake service dog registration site; which is extremely harmful and unprofessional for someone in this field, since only letters are legal and registration sites are all fake and not protected under ADA Law. I wanted to cancel my follow-up appointment after this horrid experience, which I made sure to both message and call one month ahead of time to cancel, and I was given assurance that my request would be done. What did I get a month later? A missed appointment fee, for the appointment that I was told would be canceled after I had reached out. This practice is not worth your time and they simply don't care about you. Their only concern and desire is to drain you of money, and they will use ANY means necessary in order to do this and make your life hell.

Ignorant screw ups

They take you off medication then a few months later blame the medication that they forgot they took you off of and you tend to have to explain what some medications are and what they do. You also donxt get good service at all and the staff is VERY DANGEROUS since they show a LOT of ignorance with knowledge of medication. I had to teach my psychiatrist what some common diagnoses are and teach her that patients won't always answer the questions by the text book and patients give the answer which is still correct. That was my case. She asked what highs and lows I had and I told her and then I was told I didn't have a diagnoses based upon giving an answer that didn't match exact wording and that is the very first supposed doctor to say that since I was 7. Over 20 years no one else has EVER had the ignorance to say that. She was completely disorganized during our appointments too and when I told her she was wrong and showed factual evidence of her being wrong she got an attitude. The staff and management also said I could transfer doctors so I when I did, they then told me after all documents were filled out that they conveniently forgot to tell me they stopped taking my insurance and said it was their fault. Yet they refused to do a referral until I wouldn't stop telling them they screwed up and they just wouldn't fix anything. Nothing but ignorant screw ups here that are just as bad as MHMRA. Not like yall will do any good if I give yall that info. Yall's reviews are getting worse. So stop acting like you care.
