Life stance health is not upfront about…

Life stance health is not upfront about their pricing and refuses to give customers up front costs. The billing department seems to purposefully not answer the phone until it has been an hour and 10 minutes, this has been about the exact timing for the past four times I have called. If you ask for an itemized billing list, the billing department refers you to the provider, the provider tells you to refer to the billing department, or both of them tell you to refer to your insurance company, even though your insurance company is not given insight to billing. This company charges almost triple the fair market value for services, and because they are not up front about prices, customers end up with a surprisingly high bill. I have been trying to understand why my bill is so extremely high for over 6 months and nobody will give me a straightforward answer. On top of this, the therapy session itself was Just not helpful or when I expect it at all. I was going through a lot, and felt like the therapist that I spoke to just wanted to keep things light or to small talk. It felt like they were pushing off topics until the next session, however after the second one and they did not recall any of the things I said to them in the first session I decided to cancel. It was frustrating trying to confide very personal information with a professional just to feel like they were not that interested or not helpful. Overall this company has made me feel very negatively about the mental health industry as a whole. While I know there are some therapists that truly care about their patients, I really don't feel confident in a vast majority of them based on this experience.
