I’ve read all the negative reviews and…

I’ve read all the negative reviews and I am truly shocked. I have only but had excellent service from my counselors from my psychiatrist and from going into group and having my group partners help me out with situations and problems that I’ve had life stance has been a rescue for me. I can’t say anything negative about life stance, I think they are the best. Thank you so much LifeStance for helping me with my problems. ♥️♥️♥️

Utter garbage

Utter garbage. Money grab In network with my insurance (blue cross blue shield) and a half hour consult for adhd to get a refill of an existing prescription was billed at over $400. Insurance covered $175. So out of pocket for over $200. Unreasonable just for refills of a monthly prescription. Not worth it for long term treatment of something already well managed with medication. Look elsewhere. Lifestance is low value.

Do not trust your mental health with…

Do not trust your mental health with these people. They are DANGEROUS and should be shut down by the department of health. I WAS a relatively new patient and after the second visit I discovered that I was allergic to the medication they prescribed. I had an appointment for July 3 to get it switched out, then TWO HOURS BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT THEY CANCELLED because the only psychiatrist on staff was all of a sudden sick (brown bag flu is my guess) the DAY BEFORE JULY 4. HOW CONVENIENT. They said I couldn't get in until the 12th, which would be about two weeks of NO MEDICATION. They are putting patients at risk so that they can get wasted away in Margaritaville over the holiday weekend, and to my mind, that's WRONG, but you can form your own opinion. Their solution? They sent a refill request to my pharmacy for medication that they KNOW I'm allergic to, and CVS immediately said that they sent it too soon for insurance to cover because CVS is correct. This business is dangerously incompetent and they are going to get people killed. Don't get killed by Lifestance, find a mental health provider that actually cares about the well-being of their patients instead of playing hooky any time they feel like having a long holiday weekend.

Just stay away

My provider was excellent but I am military and they charged me $75 and coded me as a no show for canceling an appointment 24 hours in advance instead of 48 (due to the weekend not counting). The cancelation was out of my control, they acknowledged the situation, but still charged me. The lack of willingness to work with me is ridiculous and I will not be utilizing them again which is upsetting because I truly trusted my therapist.

Follow up on my first review, not any better worse. Run

I did get a response from them asking me for my name and my phone # ECT. They asked me to send info to the company lifestance.com with a we care in front of it I had to say it this way because they won't let me put an email in this review SHOCKER the page is not available. The have also charged me every time for my virtual visits. My insurance card States virtual specialist zero copay. They are soooo shady. I have still not gotten a phone call back it's been a week and a half I'm not expecting a phone call I've moved on and I'm going to another provider.

Lifestance is supposed to be a place to find help for mental illness yet it can cause more disappointment and further mental health issues than solving them. I have been trying to schedule an appointment with one of their therapists. Have called close to 5 times and representatives tell me they will call me back and that doesn’t happen. This is the worst way to treat someone looking for help. Would not recommend.

Make sure your credit card is ready

I’ve been looking for a good psychiatrist since a few years ago, when the doc who finally found the right treatment for me passed away. I found a profile, happened to be a Lifestance doc. Making an in person appt was easy. Appointment was three weeks away when I got an office call. Friendly person asking for credit card. I’m in a back spasm right now, so asked if I could share it another time- no problem, as long as it’s by 5pm. My appt won’t be held unless I call with my card by 5. Then I get suspicious and ask about cancellation charges. She was straightforward at least. $150 if you only give two days notice, $300 if you miss an appointment. I understand that practitioners lose money if a patient doesn’t show up. But the 48 hour charge and the card requirement felt very gross to me. I will not do business with this corporation. Healthcare has gotten so confusing and corporate and robotic- it’s really sad that mental health care is headed the same way.

$350 for therapy

They charge $350 for therapy appointments. My therapist was almost as bad as medcaid therapists. I feel like they were like let’s charge the absolute most we can to insurances while doing the absolute bare minimum. I wish someone was in the therapy sessions with me because girl. I could have gotten that information from google in 5 seconds. Literally what was all that, i could have given a friend $20 to let me talk to them for 50 mins and it would have been more helpful. Feel scammed

Was getting treated for ADHD and had a good experience with my pscyhiatrist, but accidentally forgot about my last appointment. I was told that I could not join my 3:00pm Telehealth appointment at 3:17pm, which is completely understandable. Later, I was charged a $150 non-refundable late fee. They did not even mention that I would be charged this when I was on a call with them. Would not recommend using LifeStance Health at all, this company is a scam.

DO NOT RECOMMEND

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Will not use their service ever again! I needed an online consult with telehealth, and what I got was the runaround. I had to go through 3 different doctors to find anyone qualified to assist- they kept canceling and sending me elsewhere. Then I got to the doctor and didn't receive my records or any documentation. The doctor was rude and not at all helpful. They immediately charged me $495, though. That was completely on time. So now to get my records, I can't even get it through the online portal and got to sit on hold for 30 minutes listening to elevator music before I could even talk to the office. I wouldn't give this service a 1 star if that was possible.

Don't make you feel important to them

I first had a nurse practioner as my provider and had a great experience.  She gave me the feeling that she cared about me personally and gave me confidence that she was focused on helping me be better.  But, she left Lifestance. My next provider was doctor who treated me at each visit as if it was the first time we had met.  No personality, no connection.  After our last meeting, he prescribed an increased dose of a medicine.  A few days later, I went to get the prescription filled and the pharmacist had no order for one.  After several days of trying to get this remedied by contacting the doctor, they said they would call in the prescription.  After taking the medicine for several days, I noticed that it was the old prescription, not the one for the increased dosage.  I decided, for the first time in my life, to change doctors for a reason other than location. Next was another doctor.  I shared my previous experience with the previous doctor with her so she would know why I had changed.  She blandly listened and robotically had the consultation.  She ordered a blood test for me.  When I went to get the blood test done, they had no order for one from her.  Not again!  She then called in the request.  At our next meeting, knowing my previous experience, she did not even acknowledge that she had done the same thing.  After our meeting, she prescribed a new medication.  When I went to pick it up, there had been no prescription called in.  No personality, no connection, and no demonstration by her actions that I was of any importance to her. Is this what someone should expect from Lifestance providers?

Credit card required or lose appointment

They definitely want a credit card to confirm appointments but don't have an option to provide one for your profile online. They called to get a credit card number, but I missed the calls (2 calls in a row while I was working-healthcare) and they canceled my appointment.

High price for low-level care

I reached out to Life Stance health to schedule therapy during a low point in life. During the time of booking, it was discussed with the scheduler that I have a high deductible, and I requested to know the pricing I have a session prior to insurance. They would not even give me a ballpark estimate. I asked for the pricing a couple of times, and was told it was around market rate. Since I really was not doing well and was having a lot of issues at the time and it took a lot of effort just to make myself call someone for help, I went ahead with the appointments. I had a handful of lackluster appointments in which the therapist assigned to me wasn't really helpful, didn't seem to retain information from our previous discussions, and seem to make light of the discussion. I did not feel that it was effective at all so I canceled the appointments. They ended up billing hundreds of dollars per session! They were only charging the copay at first despite being aware of the high deductible, so the actual total amount did not come through collectively for a couple of months.. I truly hate this company and where mental healthcare is in the US. It feels like they take advantage of people who are already not functioning fully on a daily basis. They are not honest about billing, they will not answer the phone about billing, they keep pretending to answer on their social media and then refusing to actually contact you. They no longer answer on their patient portal about correcting or explaining billing. I do not recommend this company at all, both for the quality of their treatment, and the horrendous billing policies.

LifeStance is a Life Saver

I've been seeing a therapist with LifeStance for about two years now. They've helped me with trauma and abuse recovery, work/life balance, ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and I am so grateful to have had someone that cares about me and is willing and able to give me the tools to live a successful and fulfilling life.

Dumpster Fire

I scheduled my first session about a month in advance. After waiting 15 minutes for the session to start, the therapist sent me a chat explaining that my session had been canceled because she didn't treat my condition. No one called me. No one emailed me. I've been on hold with them for 20 minutes to get the issue resolved. I'll seek help somewhere else.

A great place to find a therapist!

When Kaiser couldn’t provide me a therapist they sent me out of network to LifeStance. I’m thankful for the therapist I have through them! She is so wonderful. Scheduling is pretty straight forward, although I have to make sure I do it in advance or she gets booked up. Paying my bill can be annoying at times as it doesn’t seem to save my card info for the next time. And if I do need to call life stance to talk to somebody I never can because the phones are always busy. Nonetheless, it’s a great place as these are minor issues. Other than that, never had an issue with them!

if you want to get yelled at and a slap in the face for “help”; GO TO LIFESTANCE!!

i went and saw Nicole Robbins for disordered eating and problems with depression/anxiety in february and march. to start you should know some things about me, from october 2023 to december 2023 i stopped eating and lost 48-50 pounds, along with this my primary doctor prescribed me medicine that i reacted negatively towards, throwing up//dizziness etc. first off, nicole was not nice at all!! she’s nothing but rude and although she “states it how it is” for a child/teen psychiatrist that’s not what we need!! as i expressed by troubles, she makes an appointment for a drug test. after getting my results she noticed my magnesium levels have gone up, indicating i was throwing up recently. right off the bat without giving me a chance to explain myself, she accused me of making myself throw up and lying to her!! i have a huge fear of throwing up but i do often because i get queasy with food easily. if she took the time to listen to me at our prior appointments she’d know that. she was so so so obsessed with telling my mother she’s parenting me wrong and that she needs to learn to be a mother. she’s a terrible person and doesn’t need to be around children at all, she did nothing but hurt me and make me feel WORSE about my eating problems. F. YOU. NICOLE. ROBBINS.
