Don't buy anything from their closing stores.

As reported to the Better Business…

As reported to the Better Business Bureau on May 29, 2020. Joann.com is absolutely the worst company I have ever ordered from. Their business practices are completely unacceptable and as a consumer I deserve to be treated in a considerate manner! I completely understand the shipping delays that the COVID-19 outbreak has caused however to be blatantly ignored by the company when I have attempted to follow up on my order is nothing short of rude. To date, I have NOT received one response from the company. Here's a word of advice - if you can't manage to fulfill orders and have them shipped in a timely manner, SHUT DOWN the operation. May 3 - Order placed on website with automated followup email indicating such. May 6 - Email received from Joann.com that order is delayed. May 10 - Email Received from Joann.com that partial order has shipped (1) May 11 - Email sent to Joann.com inquiring as to the status of my remaining order, May 15 - I contacted Joann.com directly from website inquiring on the status of my order. May 18 - Email received from Joann.com that partial order has shipped (2) May 18 - Email received from Joann.com, partial order has shipped (3) (Per FedEx, shipping label created but never received until May 26) May 19 - Received partial order (1) May 23 - Received partial order (2) May 26 - FedEx receives order (3) for shipping May 29 - Waiting for order (3) to arrive which is now estimated to be June 5!

awful experience buying online

I do not have issue with the stores per se but the web sites sucks. I was ordering yarn to be picked up outside the store. There is no way to cancel an order done by mistake. I have to go, pick it up and return it. That is the only option. (and yes, I tried to cancel it right away). To pay was a nightmares they have a lot of glitches that would mess up with the credit card.

Not a happy shopper

Was a great fan of JoAnn in the past, however, was never happy with their checkout system in the stores. Now, May 2020, had to resort to online ordering, and ordered fabrics, thread, rotary blades. When you are ordering online and clicking the item on the screen to order, JoAnn takes the order, then after they assign an order number to it, the price, etc,, they cancel it as they don't have it. Why was it on screen for ordering in the first place? I ordered 2 orders same date. One had 5 items, they then cancelled 2 items out of that order. I received 2 items. Still waiting 5-27-2020 after 9 days for thei 1 item left. Can't track it even though the tracking number shows in the order as they don't provide a customer to click on that number and follow tracking. Oh, my. For my second order, they cancelled 1 of 2 items (also fabric) and provided tracking number which is embedded in the original order I view, and does not have as with the first order, cannot track that number. Very reluctantly, I will not shop at JoAnn again. Can't go through all this any more. Why? I have 5 other orders I am trying to track with other companies as a result of JoAnn not having what I want, poor customer service, and because I have other items I need elsewhere JoAnn does not sell. These places are slow, they know how to talk to me on a telephone, and at least I can find out what their status is. JoAnn has a very bad system in store and online. No one is minding the company. The executives are lining their pockets and partying at the resorts in the Caribbean. As a COVID-19 new online shopper (I am an octogenarian without transportation), JoAnn came in as the worst of all online shopping sites. Their in-store shopping checkout system wasn't too hot before COVID-19 either. I will not forget the poor service I received once we get back to "normal". If JoAnn doesn't survive, I will not feel bad.

I ordered some thread online

I ordered some thread online, part of it was in the store & I was able to pick that up. The other part says it was shipped on 5/13, yet the tracking with FedEx would not show any movement until May 21st. I could have driven to Indianapolis to pick up quicker than I am getting my package which I paid dearly to have it shipped! As of 5/27, I still have not received & now they are saying it is being transferred to USPS. This is RIDICULOUS! I'm VERY unhappy with Joann's & will not shop or order from them again!

No wonder why there are so many…

No wonder why there are so many negative reviews on Joann!!! Even though you offer best price for the products , getting the products is painful tasks. I guess I better more somewhere and get it on time instead of waiting on Joann customer service emails or reply!! No response why orders are sending back to sender even after providing the correct address. After reading so many reviews I am no longer interested in going to see their stores!! Its been month, they shipped my order( thank God) but really you didn't post correct address on it??? I doubled tripplled checked I provided correct address and again second time I ordered and it's sending back to sender!!! Advice- Save your time and go buy somewhere else!! It's very frustrating experience!! It's been 2 weeks didn't get any reply from their customer service too!!!

Undercutting your own customers!

I'm writing to you regarding your recent addition of face masks to your line of products. I can't begin to tell you how abhorrent I find it that you used selling mask supplies as an excuse to stay open during the recent Covid 19 quarantine, selling products to local seamstresses and craftspeople to keep your business going, only to turn around and produce your own mask line, undercutting the price of those very same seamstresses and craftspeople who kept your business going through this pandemic! How do you even begin to think this practice is acceptable? Of course you can undercut our prices, you get your own products at wholesale prices, while we are paying your retail price! I've dealt with late product delivery, shortage of supplies such as elastic, interfacing and even fabric, while trying to be patient with your overworked personnel. I've had cancelled orders of needed fabric, because your online inventory can't keep up with what you actually have in stock. I have made multiple purchases over the course of this pandemic, standing for hours in long slow lines because of limits on how many people could be in your store, only to be told once I got in the store that I could not purchase the quantity of products I wanted, if you even had them in stock, and that I had 15 minutes to be in the store. In exchange with my patience, patronage and tolerance of poor service, you're now going to start selling finished products of sewn items that undercut my business. I will be finding an online store with which to do business, and you can rest assured that it won't be Joann.com.

Unfortunately I came to pick up a order…

Unfortunately I came to pick up a order that was supposed to have in the store, curb side that I had to wait 2 hours, and the store just told me that it was sold out and they couldn’t do anything, I just waist my time waiting for nothing and I went to pick up a order curbside order that was very disorganized. If they don’t have condition to be organized, they shouldn’t have the option to pick up order curbside. It is horrible. I wish I wouldn’t put any stars.

Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts (330)-656-2600

I ordered fabric 3 weeks ago and my order still says processing. I tried emailing them but I got no response after a week. I attempted to place the same order to be picked up from the store, after about 2 days my order was canceled. I will be giving them a call. Hopefully someone will answer. Jo-Ann does not listen to their customers

Jo-Ann does not care about their customers. They care about money. They do not set stores up to help customers because that would cost them more money. Their fabric prices are ridiculous for the quality. They think they can charge the same as quilt shops that carry quality material by renowned designers. Even on their website, they force you to order fabric minimums like 2 yards. How does that equal customer service? Their prices are set in the event you use a 40% off coupon. Tools, decor, paper crafting, yarn - all overpriced. They may change when they lose enough customers to have to start closing stores. Let's make that happen. Shop at Fabric.com, Thousands of Bolts, Jordan Fabrics. All places that have outstanding customer service.

Bad, very frustrating

Bad! I ordered on three occasions, it says "on stock"then after 3 days of waiting, you receive an email that is no longer available after my card is being charge. That's very frustrating. I placed another order a week ago, to be shipped and give me a tracking number but that number doesn't exist.

In stock does not mean in stock

Like others - Three times I tried to order. Each time, I ordered several things on the website. All were shown as "in stock". Within minutes or days they started to cancel the things I had ordered. By the time they were done, I was paying $7.99 for shipping twill tape instead of the order of yards of material and other things. A compete rip off. It does me no good to have twill tape and no elastic or fabric for masks. The best they could do (after numerous emails asking them to cancel the order - which they didn't do) was that I could call them and go through the entire order again. Geez. NO THANKS

Non-existent customer service

I ordered fabric to make face masks on 5/2 (at a dramatically inflated price) and received shipping confirmation on 5/12 but the tracking information hasn't been updated since then and I never received. It Is obviously lost so I tried contacting Jo-Ann requesting status update thru the form on their website but received no response. After several tries, I sent several emails directly to customer service requesting that they reship but still no response. It’s been nearly 2 weeks since I initially contacted them and I’ve been sending daily emails simply requesting a refund and still have heard nothing.

Today on Sunday

Today on Sunday, May 24th , We went to shop Masks at the Joanne store, in Ontario Mill Mall neighborhood , we stayed in line for about hour and a half, we were there when to store opened this morning. They we letting in only 5 customers at a time, They would not let us in when 1 customer come out , they waited until all 5 come out , if you were with your spouse , you are considered 2 people and have to wait till another 5 come out, when I approached the lady at the door to make suggestion that it is ok to wait in line may be 15to 20 minutes but not hours , we waited hour and a half , I asked her to request customers to limit their shopping to what they need now rather than hanging out in the store, and if somebody still hangs it out ok , she refused to take suggestion and iadvertently blame the customs , she was in considerate to the people staying in line for long period of time, very poor customer service , people take customers as granted but not she does to realize without HAPPY customers , you are non existent . I would not shop at this Joanne store in my lifetime, this is it !!!

Speedy delivery

I placed an online order earlier this week on 05/18/2020 and although my shipments were split, Jo-Ann's managed to get most of the delivery by the end of this week. They also sent me an e-mail saying my package may be delayed, but it arrived this morning. Thank you to all the workers from the ordering to delivery process. I am extremely satisfied and thankful.

Curbside pickup DO NOT RECOMMEND

Place an curbside pickup and keep on giving and error message to where that is saying that there something is wrong with the card I used, then I try another card thinking maybe it was just the card that I used. Nope, wrong it not the card it the website. I have call and stated on the automatic recording “with the high volume will need to redirect to email only” I’ve email them twice and according to the fine ALSO “high volume”, it will take a while for them to get to you too. SO I DON’T RECOMMEND curbside pickup. Need fabric I recommend to other store that you can walk in with the limited and safe way to you and other. Like Hobby Lobby Or Amazon, yes it might be a little more but it better then JoAnn. WHICH they now loss another customer.

They lost (yet another) customer

I ordered close to 50 yards of fabric in addition to some tools; over $200 in supplies. They canceled half the order after the first week. It was unfortunate, but I understand that in times of high demand there can be a lag in updating the website. Then, a week later, they canceled the rest of the order. The email didn't even bother telling me that the entire order had been canceled. Rather, it simply stated that some items had been canceled. I had to look up the order on the website to see that they had marked it "completed" after cancelling everything. Everything. They took 2 weeks and then canceled everything in a $200+ order. It seriously took 2 weeks for them to figure out that they have NOTHING I ordered? Unreal. What a complete waste of my time. I will never go back.

After waiting a MONTH for some fabric…

After waiting a MONTH for some fabric online, they piece-meal shipped one fabric at a time. In the mean-time, I used the pick up in store option to replace some of what was initially ordered. Each order there-after, their prices SKYROCKETED. After buying a bunch of fabric to make masks and sell to the neighborhood, they ship more of the ORIGINAL order that they never sent. Three items still exist on that original order, but there is no way to cancel and no one to call at customer service. To top it off, after buying ALOT of expensive fabric from them, they decide they are going to SELL masks themselves for practically nothing!!! They are competing against the people buying their fabric. HOW RIDICULOUS! They need to decide if they are going to sell fabric or if they will sell masks.

Worst Covid assistances

Worst Covid assistances! Their website stinks as if you need curbside services due to severe high risk or ship to home Joann requires 2 yard minimum on fabrics. When order placed to ship most items not in stock after it said it was when ordered. Been shopping Joann for 50 years .... NEVER AGAIN ! NOT HELPFUL TO HANDICAPPED NOT HIGH RISK DURING PANDEMIC SHAME ON YOU !

I placed an “order online curbside…

I placed an “order online curbside pickup” on May 13. All items were available at my local store in Paramus New Jersey. 9 days later later I got an email saying the entire order was cancelled and that the items were not available. How disappointing. I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!!!!! Don't blame the virus, I blame the company!!! I was an extremely loyal customer up until now. If you want the company to survive you MUST change the way the on-line ordering is fulfilled. Curbside pickup should have been done in 2 days, virus or no virus. Is it the inventory program that is flawed, if so then get rid of your programmers.

Unreliable and very poor customer svc

A month ago I placed an order for thread and fabric (all of which were supposed to be in stock). Some of the thread came in packages of one or two about 7 days apart. Today I received an email saying the balance of my order had been cancelled because the merchandise was no longer available. Thank god I've found more reliable sellers of what I need with higher quality merchandise at lower prices. Joann's SUX!
