I’m never ordering from Joann online…

I’m never ordering from Joann online again. I wanted an item that showed “in stock” at my local store. Made a curbside pickup order only to have it cancelled and marked “out of stock”. Ok I’ll order it on their website. Said it shipped out the next day (4-8). It shipped via FedEx who then transferred to the USPS. My package hasn’t moved since 4-14. I called today (4-19) to get a refund. The guy was NOT helpful (funny their recording says they aren’t happy until the customer is happy) I’m VERY unhappy. Rep said I can’t get a refund until it’s been 6-10 business days. No package. Will have to wait longer and spend more time on the phone with them because their stupid “policy”. I just won’t order again from them.

Ledgewood store.

Ledgewood store. Went to the counter to have my lace cut and the manager said to me not to lean on the counter. I asked why? First of all there is a plastic barrier in front of you.I don’t know what her problem was! I didn’t hear telling the other customer not lean her elbow on the counter. The other customer next to me was leaning but was not told not to. I assumed that the manager is racist because I am Asian or simply ignorant! Such an idiot!

I’m right in this review regarding the Jo Ann’s located in Maplewood I believe the sales lady‘s name was Emma she was very helpful, kind and bubbly she also helped us find a coupon online which saved us Just about 50% off the price that we would’ve spent at Michael’s me and my husband really appreciate if her customer service I’m not sure if she was a manager or not but she definitely deserves a raise for great customer service which is super hard to find these days

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I saw items on their website I wanted, and thought it was a great deal! Placed the order, no problem... until I received an email saying my order was canceled. WHAT?! So I emailed the email address listed for assistance, but wait, they can't help, I need to contact someone else. Okay. I emailed them, actually got a response quickly - very surprised. They say they don't ship "high dollar machines to a cargo company" (I'm outside of the US so use a cargo shipping company). Okay, no problem. I try again, say I'll ship to my aunt in NY and figure out the rest from there. The address I enter, they suggest some other address which I didn't choose because obviously it was incorrect. Anyways, they cancel that as well, at this point I'm so confused! Oh, when the order is canceled it says that it didn't pass the verification process. I say I'll try one more time (against my better judgment), figured maybe I got something incorrect in the address or something... they cancel the order AGAIN!!! Emailed for assistance as to why the last 2 orders were canceled- NO RESPONSE!! Very, very poor customer service. I will never recommend anyone to buy anything from here! Not even if it costs a dollar! They're absolutely ridiculous!

Don't waste your time placing orders from Jo-Ann's online

In the past 6 months I have placed 3 online orders with Jo-Ann's. My first order was confirmed ready to pick up. It took me 40 minutes to get to the store, and when I arrived, my order had not yet been pulled. I was told if I want the order I could pick it myself. All items were confirmed in stock, however, 2 orders were shorted, the 3rd was completely cancelled after confirmed ready for pick-up, stating the item ready for pick up was no longer available. Sorry Jo-Ann's, I won't be purchasing from you again, in-store or online.

Non existent customer service and issues with both orders.

I love joann's store so I assumed online would be no different. Boy was I wrong. I made 2 separate orders within a few days of each other. I had problems with both of them. First of all, they ship the items out in separate orders but I only got tracking info for the first package (from each respective order.) My first order, with 23 items, was marked delivered. So, color me irritated when I only received ONE item.. I emailed them about it and they got back to me the next day and asked for the items I was missing. I took time listing the 22 items I was missing for the person to reply "oh no, I am so sorry. Let me know if they still aren't there in a few days" Uhhh... Ok??? A few days went by and still no items.. then my 2nd order is marked as delivered and the same thing happened. Only one item was delivered. I emailed them for the next few days with no response. I sent a total of 3 emails asking where the heck the 200 dollars of items were and there was no response at all. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Finally.. a few days later the rest of my items arrived. And I still haven't gotten any replies back from their non existent customer service reps. I will never order online again.

Horrible customer service lines for…

Horrible customer service lines for online shipments. If I could give a Zero stars, I would. Will no longer be making online purchases because of this and the way they tie up the original purchase price and charge additional for each shipment then reverse the original billing charge. The attitudes on the phone lines are unacceptable! Train your associates on what empathy is!

They have great product.

They have great product.. grapevine tx customers service is great.. BUT their coupon program sucks... it’s insulting. I can guarantee you when they have a 60% off any regular price item... EVERYTHING in the store will have a max of 30% off so you can’t use. After you shop and go to check out plan on spending time if your using coupons only to find out most don’t apply. Frustrating for you AND the employees. Hobby Lobby no longer issues coupons they have weekly sales... so easy and pleasant. No guess work.

Shipping time is terrible

2nd time I've ordered from joann.com and 2nd time it is taking over 2 weeks for delivery, still not received. FedEx actually says joann ships via smart post which transfers their packages to usps. Tracking info isn't updated anywhere after the first day. Customer service said please give it a little more time. The website is terribly glitchy too, be careful

Poor quality.

I ordered Bernat yarn from them, 3 skeins. The first skein I gave up after finding 4 cut marks where it had been poorly tied back together. 4 of them. I moved onto skein #2 and I couldn't even start rolling the ball because I ran into another cut mark and it poorly tied back together at the beginning of the skein. They issued a refund, but it seems like they charged full price for used, cut up yarn. I left a review on their site, I just received an email saying it wouldnt be posted because I violated their guidelines and I definitely did not. They just didn't want a terrible review on their website. First time ever shopping there and I won't be back. Higher prices for poor quality.

Advice on how to sew 95% rayon and 5% spandex material

Today I bought Knit Solid black 95% rayon and 5% spandex material again. I didn't know how to sew this fabric when I first bought it on March 2, 2021. I called Joann's Torrance, CA location this past week and a nice person gave me some advice. Today, another nice person, the Assistant Manager gave me more good advice on Stabilizing the rayon material and also explained the different sewing machine needles to me. I am so HAPPY that Joann's is in Torrance. They should teach sewing in public schools again.

Received what Joann calls chunky yarn

Received what Joann calls chunky yarn. NOT!! I received what looks like a shredded mess from the second hand store, the worse..frayed n furry. When try n make a blanket out of this ultra thin furry n frayed dont pull too Hard u will get a lot of fur. Its so thin u can see the thread. First n last order. They suck. What a waste of money! Michaels it is. They sell good chunky yarn! NEVER AGAIN.

Fraudulent charges

On Saturday, March 13, 2021 I went to JOANN'S ONLINE website. I wanted to purchase a couple items so put them in my cart and tried to check out. I was paying using Paypal. After going through the payment processing, I clicked the button to confirm the order, but a box popped up with red letters stating that MY ORDER COULD NOT GO THROUGH DUE TO PAYMENT NOT ACCEPTED, AND TO "TRY AGAIN". I did this, going through the checkout as instructed. AGAIN, A MESSAGE IN RED APPEARED TELLING ME THAT NO ORDER COULD BE COMPLETED AND PAYMENT WAS NOT ACCEPTED. AGAIN IT SAID "TRY AGAIN". By this time I had had enough and I left the site, not having made any purchase. I then received TWO emails from Paypal saying that Joanns had charged me TWO TIMES FOR 2 ORDERS THAT DID NOT GO THROUGH! Paypal cannot remove them. I spoke to them and they said Joann's had to delete them from my Paypal account since they did not process any orders, but did take payment EVEN THOUGH THEIR WEBSITE CHECKOUT SAID THEY DID NOT. (I never received any emails or confirmations of any kind from Joanns). JOANN'S OWES ME A REFUND TO MY PAYPAL ACCT. OF $31.94. I HAVE JUST FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM WITH BBB IN HUDSON OHIO TODAY, MARCH 16.

I received a notification from Joann so I drive 1hr an 30mins to get Dover De store, looking at the weekly ad that clearly states Feb 25 - Mar 10, I go and grab scissors, African fabric, interfacing and notions. I get everything cut, talking to the sale person u happy, and she tells me that what I got is not on the weekly ad, I show her, I'll be damn they talking it only for the dates on the top of that ad????? Why is it called a weekly ad when u can't get the things that on the ad in the week time frame? Who pays attention to the small dates at the top? This BS company should change there ads to Daily ads and not weekly ad, Hobby Lobby and Michael's has weekly ads and you can get there promotion for the whole week. They cut so much fabric for me that I walked out...I refused to spend my money with a BS company, i drove to far for that. I went right to Hobby Lobby an brought the same things for way less

I will never go to the store or buy a…

I will never go to the store or buy a this store again! first both bathrooms her shut down and i had an emergency and had to enter one of them. athe good morning store manager at store in miami fl kendall snd 79 Ave SW was very angry. I can understand but he did not show any compassion as a woman in need and a senior citizen!! it was a real emergency! Also the cash register clerk, who was very nice, seemed upset and overwhelmed. the manage was roaming along appearing bothered and the. slowly came to her assistance. I ask him if an item was on sale and he state no but appeared snd felt like he was annoyed. no customer service in mind. the sakes clerks were very nice but not the managers. I returned that night as i thought I had missed a coupon for 20% off as i had a large purchase. He did not seem interested an helping..very serious..no customer service training. or any type of “can si help you”. never will enter that store again. the is hobby lobby michael’s and other fabric stores in miami that are much nicer and they appreciate your shopping at those stores. I was issued two refunds for corporate…

I was issued two refunds for corporate refund checks on January 10, 2021 to be sent to me. I had been in communication with the Store manager and Asst. Store manager who actually assisted me with three previous returns (signing them) on my recently deceased mothers un-used new material as l etc. Each received a corporate check for dates of January 3, 2021 & December 20, 2020 & and a cash refund of $ 120.00 on December 18, 2020. All without receipts but luckily still in the original packaging,mfg boxes, and Joann bags. My January 10th refunds never arrived so I reached out to returns customer service for status. I was than told to pick up the fabric or take a store credit???? A day later I received a email from customer service asking for detailed information on my return, email, original dates of purchase, which I quickly replied with and asked why they are asking for all this additional information....No one could tell me why???? The store manager said the store policy was changed, inwhich I was bring penalized for their policy change after my transactions were done? Basically I was being called a thief and they were trying to imply that 3 bolts of unbleached muslin were stolen??? Funny how when I returned it the sales associate was able to scan the bolts and the bolts were identified in the Joanne SKU files in their computer system????Absurd!!!! I was given the choice to pick up the bolts of muslin or a useless store credit. I than took the store credit as they threatened that if I did not come in soon I would be forced to forfeit my merchandise/store credit! What a way to treat someone who's late mother taught all the quilting, cake decorating, needlework adult education classes in Bellevue,Ne. My late mother bought all her needs at this Joann store in Bellevue,ne. She also encouraged all her students to buy all their needs for class and leisure at this store. Pathetic way of biting the hand that keeps your sad little store open in Bellevue,Ne!! Talk about Bait & Switch on an honest customer!!! No wonder this store is so empty. I have/will notify all local contacts of this horrible experience with trying to defame my character without any grounds, basis, or reasonable explanation. Even the supervisor at the returns customer service did not have the courage to call me and explain why the 30 day runaround???? Cowards and shady business practice!

VENT ALLERT!

VENT ALLERT! Took me a while to find a Joann store that had all items I needed to work on Valentine's day. Bought online to pick-up at the store, located 35 min away from my home. Got sick, and stayed home until my covid came back negative. Since I am the only one authorized to pick-up, I couldn't do it for 3 days. Today I came (it was paid) and they canceled and sold my stuff. Seriously, 0 to costumer service. The manager didn't care at all, she was a broken record saying "I can't help you"!

I will NEVER order from Joann.com…

I will NEVER order from Joann.com again! They don't ship everything together, it's always separate shipments arriving at long intervals in between, and when they will show up is a huge gamble! Still waiting on yarn from two weeks ago and I'm fed up! Don't bother ordering from them.

Online buyer...beware...Run, don't walk. Shop somewhere else!!

I placed an order a week or so ago with joann.com.  The order was coming in 2 shipments.   When the first package came, all the items were loose, with No packing around anything to keep items intact and keep them from banging around in the box.  The one item was damaged, but zi choose to just fix if myself with some hot glue. When the second package came, that is when I noticed I was missing 2 items from my order .  I immediately contacted them via a Chat.   And here is where things went South for me!!! Instead of them just sending out the missing items....because let's be clear here....it was THEIR mistake ...THEIR fault. They proceeded to tell me they can't just mail out my missing items !!  Instead here is their policy for these types of situations: 1. They will issue me a refund for my missing items (which I got on sale at the time) 2.  You have to wait 3-5 business days to get that portion of your money back 3.  In the meantime,  they want you to go back online, and reorder those items ( that are No longer on sale 4. And now put out more of YOUR money to place that order for items your had originally ordered.  ( putting all the burden of THEIR mistake back on YOU, the Customer. 5. Then because you are paying full price for items you originally ordered at a sale price, you now need to email  them to ask for another refund for the difference between the full price and sale price.... 6.  So you can wait another 3-5 business days for that money too.

Not a store that offers creative inspiration ✨…

The stores are usually cluttered and very messy. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in a creative environment store. They are rude and snarky. Don’t care to offer any help. I have spoken personally to mgmt at store level. I have sent reviews to corporate. I see zero improvement. It occurs to me that customer service is of little Importance to them. I find it very offensive.
