This was my first and last online…

This was my first and last online shopping experience with Joanns. I am a seamstress and also knit and crochet. I’ve ordered fabric and yarn products online from other companies and never had an issue. Joanns practice of charging the account and then putting “hold” on the account for the order amount is beyond ridiculous. Order was placed on 1/5/21. On 1/6/21 I received an email stating my order was on its way and included my tracking number with Fed Ex. Their site said a shipping label was created. No other information updated to the shipping status. I called customer service on 1/15 and the rudest woman said they were waiting on Fed Ex to pick up the package. Today is 1/21/21 and no package and no change to the order status. I called customer service again and the rude woman was again responding to my call. She told me my package was lost. So I looked for the products on their site and they are in stock so asked to have the order filled again. I was placed on hold and then told I’d receive a refund in 3-5 days as their policy states. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Store customer service isn’t much better. I will not be shopping online or in store again and will be loudly sharing my experience as well as every other negative review I’ve seen with as many people as I can.

Online order BEWARE!!!

Well, I really wished I would have come here before ordering online from Joanne's but who has ever had to look on Trustpilot for reviews on a known store?! Ridiculous! I, among many others I see, placed an order, received an email stating some out of stock items in my order so here is my new total. Well, I check my bank and I have been charged the original order PLUS the updated ORDER! Like wth! Supposedly a "hold" and will receive my money back God knows when but this us such crap! Texting with customer service on their site and the fellow continually asked me for my bank information and debit card info! I refused! Im already broke dude and you guys are already burning me out of $30 to use right now! This was my first AND LAST Joanne's experience!

Ordered 4 yards of one fabric. Got it in pieces.

Ordered 4 yards of one fabric. I needed one continuous piece. Instead my fabric arrived in two pieces and one piece at a time. No communication from JoAnn to explain either. It took weeks to receive the first order and no note to explain the rest was being shipped later. I couldn’t understand why my fabric was the incorrect size. When the second piece arrived I measured both. Together they did not equal 4 yards. JoAnn should have cancelled the order and contacted me to explain they were unable to fill my request. You do not ship a seamstress yardage that has been cut in two!!!!!! Communication and customer service are below average.

I was overcharged three times for items I purchased online. Their online website is faulty. I wonder how many other customers have had this experience and not known they were repeatedly charged for the same transaction.

Pretty decent.

My packages from Joann usually arrive on time and if not, there is tracking that updates swiftly as to where my package is and on what date. However, I don't appreciate the packaging. Putting fabrics, yarns, and craft items in just a plastic bag without any padding or wrapping whatsoever can lead to the bag tearing as well as any of the items inside being damaged. I'd recommend their curbside pick-up. You can then ensure that the items you get are correct and not damaged.

Excellent experience

Excellent experience. I ordered 8 skeins of yarn (4 different colors) on Saturday Jan. 2 2021. The delivery date was estimated for Thursday Jan 12 2021. I received my order today (Jan 6 2021). All of the yarn was perfect and all of the colors were correct.

TERRIBLE customer serivce

Ordered fabric on 12/28. Realized there would likely be a delay due to the holidays. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I got a shipping notice the SAME DAY. The day after, I got another notification that there was a second shipment. That's fine. Until the warehouse never actually shipped it, just made the label. A small delay was fine, but I sent an email letting them know it was sitting around in a warehouse and I expected the item to go out promptly. No response. Even if you also count NYE as a holiday (most retailers don't) today would be the 4TH BUSINESS DAY that my order has just SIT IN A WAREHOUSE FOR NO REASON. I finally got an email reply; basically stating "it's not our fault, fedex hasn't updated yadda yadda, if you don't get it by 1/11 contact us then". See attached. As you can imagine, that made me irate. So I called. I let the service agent know what was going on, the email I had gotten, and that under no circumstances was that acceptable. She went on hold to look at the issue, then came back on the line to tell me she passed it off to someone to "investigate" and that I should get a response in 3 days. Well, that made me even angrier. I let her know that I wasn't here to put up with her passing the buck, or them making me wait another 3 days to actually ship an order they'd made a label for. She kept trying to talk over me, and when I wouldn't let her, decided she wasn't going to say anything at all. Fed up with her attitude problem, I asked for a supervisor. The "supervisor" I got was a lying piece of work. She tried to tell me FedEx was having up to 2 week delays in their pickups. When I told her I worked direct customer service for a retail company, our company uses exclusively FedEx for standard shipments, and that there is no delay at all right now, she was a stuttering mess. Had no explanation other than "it can take so and so business days" with no explanation for the fact the order was processed already. When I told her about the inept customer service agents I'd talked to, she said they would "look into it" again (referring to the order) with no indication of a timely follow up. I let her know if I had done such a terrible CS job, I'd be written up and fired - and it must be nice to work somewhere, when you don't have to do your job to get paid. I guess I'd have to just call in and scream some more when nobody could be bothered to tell the warehouse to ship my order. After some more stuttering, along with another half baked lie of an excuse and her trying desperately to start ending the call, I hung up on her. Later tonight, I get a message from FedEx that the package is on the way. Would it not be easier to have your customer service agents actually do their jobs, so that people don't have to be nasty and yell to get their issue resolved? I work customer service. I know the job sucks, but if you do your job, decent people don't have to act like an ass to get anywhere. Unfortunately for them, me being a CS agent means I don't have any tolerance for terrible CS agents who can't be bothered to do their jobs, causing me inconvenience.

I made a purchase for $241 not only did…

I made a purchase for $241 not only did they not have my complete order but they charge me another $182 for a partial order but kept the $241 hold on my account which basically made a total hold/withdraw of $423 out of my account. which lead to bounced checks and over draft fees just the biggest headache ever. I had to jump through hoops to get stuff straightened out at my bank all because of Joann fabrics.

This is the worst customer service…

This is the worst customer service experience I have ever seen. I purchased an e-gift card. Unfortunately, I provided an incorrect email address. I immediately reported it to Joann’s website. I received notification that they received my information and provided me with a ticket number. Nothing has been done. They have not gotten back to me. I found a number and spoke to a guy that I could not understand. I explained my situation and he did nothing to help me. All he said was, someone will get back to you on this. I asked him when. He said he didn’t know. Joann’s had the nerve to send me a survey on his performance. I gave him a zero. I called the number on my bank statement for Joann’s. The wait time went from 22minutes to 12 minutes to 33 minutes. Something is very wrong with this company. I want my money back. I will NEVER do business with Joann’s. Shame on them.

Beware

Beware, when you order online with a debit card, they will charge you twice. One is for an authorization and the other is the actual charge. So if you order $75.00 worth, $150.00 is out of your account for about 5 days. They don't credit the authorization until your items have been delivered. I haven't noticed any other company ever doing this. I'm going to use a gift card from now on.

Don't order delivery

I ordered 100 dollars worth of fabric lengths, and two zippers. Of the in total 8 items I ordered, ONE fabric arrived as requested. The rest were either obviously short to the point where I would accuse them of actually attempting to pawn off left over lengths as full lengths to try to get them sold, or didn't arrive at all however claimed to have shipped successfully. Do not use their delivery services, pick up everything in store.

Don't buy. Poor service

I would give 0 if I could. Ordered Holiday items they were late. They ship in multiple packages so unless you print out your order you have no clue then when they don't ship you have to fight for refund. Packages shipped in a plastic bag no padding all crushed. No resolution to multiple attempts to resolve. Good prices on junk doesn't make a happy customer. I'll pay more from a better company.

I placed an order on 11/30/2020. I received an email on 12/3 stating my order shipped. Another email on 12/6 stated I should receive my order on 12/7. I still have not received my order nor have I received any further communication. I am disgusted.

Half order never came

Ordered 10 shirts November 28th. Received only 8 of them on Dec 3. Says 2 shipments... ok... but still says not shipped. Or anything except order is ready to go. I've emailed them twice and no reply, but they sure took my money for the whole order. All items were in stock when I ordered so not sure why they can't be sent together. Never order online for delivery you'll never receive half of your order and be charged for it.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Joann’s lied to me about their stock and took my money without telling me that their item was OUT OF STOCK. Not only that, but it was Cyber Monday. Thinking I already had the fabrics I needed, I didn’t bother shopping anywhere else. They shipped the rest of my order, but I don’t want a cent of my money to go to this terrible scam of a business. THEY’RE CHARGING ME FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING WHEN THEY MESSED UP. Seriously, I hope this business goes under.

DONT SHIP WITH JOANNS

Your shipping process sucks!!! This package got lost and then it magically reappear?!? That doesn’t make sense! Now my other package is going to be late once again... isn’t going to be here for 7 more days? TROUDALE is less then an hour away how does it take 7 more days from the time it ships to get to my house!!! Unbelievable!!! This is ridiculous, I don’t understand how your shipping to so jacked up!! I was on hold for 40 minutes just to talk to someone for 7 and then got hung up on, there customer service is a joke too!

FRAUD ALERT!!!!

I placed an order online on Sunday December 6th. My order total was $566.22 (several Christmas gifts). They immediately charged my account the full amount. This is showing as a pending charge and is deducted from my account balance. Then on Monday morning I noticed my account balance was very low so I checked and found two more charges from them ($32.09 & $102.68). I called their customer service department and was on hold for 45 minutes. When I finally got to speak to someone and explained what was going I was told that the first charge for the full amount was just a hold to make sure I had the money available. He then explained that the other two charges were for parts of the order that were ready for shipping. He then explained that the $566.22 would be refunded once everything was shipped. I told him that I couldn't afford to have that much money not available in my account. He then said that there was nothing else he could do. I explained to him that I had some bills set up to come out of my account automatically and that by them holding that money it would cause my account to go negative and then I would be charged fees. He then repeated that there was nothing else he could do. So then I asked him to please just cancel my order so my money could be release and he informed me that was not possible but that I could return the items once they were received. So at this point I was in tears and just wanted off the phone. So I then had to call a family member to borrow money so I could cover my account. I have now had another charge for $90.48. I just wonder how long it will actually take them to ship out all of my items. I don't see how it is legal for them to double bill people and to hold money for however long it takes them to ship out the items. Oh and I almost forgot, they told me that it could take up to 10 business days after they remove the hold before my money will show back up in my bank. This is just so wrong and I order online ALL the time and I have NEVER had any other business do this to me.

JoAnn Online Ordering Unreliable

Ordered several weeks ago online for crafts planned for my grandchildren's Christmas visit. A couple of weeks later I get an email indicating that there was an issue and that my order was never placed. The items that I had ordered are no longer available. This is the 2nd time I've had issues with ordering online and the order being cancelled or not placed.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!! So i placed an order on sunday morning it went thru and the payment was processed. Several hours later i recieved an email thaty order was cancelled due to not having stock. That should not happen but i also know they are busy so i let it go. Now to phone them abou they money they took from my account. I called the store the lady told me it could take 24 to 48 hours to get the refund. 48 hours later still no refund i called back only for that lady to tell me they dont handle the refunds to call customer service. I called was on hold 39 minutes someone picked up ( i could hear them laughing) they hung up the phone. I call back finally after 4e minutes i get to talk to a lady who hung up on me. Then i get an email telling me i will have to get with my bank to cancel my payment.
