Update : Problem resolved

I ordered in the past and i was 5/5 satisfied. I ordered again this year and now i cannot cancel my subscription, their site says my account does not exist yet the payments go through as i see in my bank account info. Their support staff has not gotten back to me yet to cancel my sub or even any info on the ongoing packages that have not yet arrived. I hope they see this and reply at least here this is getting out of hand and im about to call the bank to seize any transactions with them. Sad how changed their site and not even having the common decency of informing us / updating our accounts in order we need to cancel our Sub... In case Japan crate sees this please reply back via your support... "Order #4240329223 Placed on Jan 19 2022" EDIT : Thank you for the reply. As for the cancelation , i had no plan. just month by month and i want to cancel that plan since i will not be here for several months.. EDIT 2 : The Support team reached out to me. Yes there are delay issues, however i was assured my packages will arrive. Also resolved was the issue with my account / subscription. Changing my 3 star review to 4 only due to the delay since the products themselves are amazing as i recall from last year

2 semanas después y pone que solo me han confirmado el pedido

2 semanas desde que me suscribí y no dan detalles de por dónde va el pedido y ni si quiera de cuándo podría llegar. Mandé un ticket hace unos días y todavía no han respondido. Quizás me he dejado engañar por las opiniones en las que pone que el envío llega rápido, pero todavía no hay ni un ápice de feedback acerca del pedido.

Paid for three month subscription and nothing

Paid for three month subscription, after one month of waiting nothing has been shipped still and nobody’s answering emails. Scam Order #4247603272 Placed on Jan 23 2022 The Subscription I’ve cancelled now, no time for UNPROFESSIONALS. Many other companies doing the same. Extremely disappointed 26.02.2022 update, after negative review here the support finally got involved and I got a reply. Today I’ve received the package only four days after it’s been shipped. Changing vote from star ⭐️ one star to four stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Very bad experience

I had ordered. About one day before the website had changed. I tried to log in. And had no account. So i visited the legacy page. Turns out. I still had the subscription. But. I had no emails about it being shipped. Its been about 3 weeks since i ordered the 3 month subscription. I cancelled it today. I emailed the support team 3 times throughout this week and i had no response. My order number was #4267236683

crate delayed, and my account is deleted.

Update: got a refund and they have told me they are working on shipping to Australia. My only suggestion to them if they knew there were shipping problems they should have either put on their site there where shipping issues going to other countries. Or not let people put order in until they fixed the issue Ordered a crate in December 2021 for the January crate. Near the end of January there was still no crate I needed it for a gift for my partners birthday. She was upset it didn’t come, I email them to find out they are not shipping to Australia at the moment, they are still advertising to say we ship to Australia, extremely disappointed.I tried to log into my account to see what was happening only to find out my account no longer exists. I have sent 2 emails to their help centre and still no reply.

VERY VERY Disappointed

VERY VERY Disappointed . I write multiples mail and never got answers. I made important requests and questions but nothing . I don't want to write again everything but i think is the worst customer service ever seen ,if not ,they have to prove the contrary . And for european be very very careful because counting 10 days of preparation and 6 weeks of aditional wait is almost 2 months . And custom cleareance are so expensive and you have to pay them by cash only at arrival for japan post, the longest and worst method to ship something. I am ready to pay more for a faster shipment method but never got an answer if is possible or not to have another shipment method .and i asked to receive everything the 1st of every month instead of 12 but no answer also ... is really trustable or just a scam ? They are serios or not ? They care about customers or not ? Please if they read this ,or they give me a solution or talk to a superior or i immediately stop all my suscription and ask for refund.

Casi un mes de espera y no puedo contactar

Hice mi compra el 19 de enero de el presente mes, el envío era para chile a la capital. No te dan numero de seguimiento, no me deja entrar a mi cuenta sin mandarme a otra página, tuve que crearme una cuentacon mi mismo email y esta no tenía las ordenes. No te puedes contactar con nadie. Creo que eran hasta 10 días para el envío o algo así, que puedo hacer?

Scammed

So I bought this crate back on December 14th. I made a request ticket one month later asking where the crate was. They answered with japan has canceled shipping to Canada. Now We come to today 2 months later and still nothing, worst part about this is that they have deleted my account on there website. I still have the order and everything in my emails. So at least if you live is Canada don't trust these people. EDIT: They gave me $10 for there shop but never actually assured me my previous package would arrive. I really can't tell if the 10 bucks is an insult or not.

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL SHOPPERS THIS SITE IS DISHONEST ABOUT SHIPPING! I had bought a “Doki Doki” box for my nine year old daughter had waited nearly a month to hear anything about it being shipped. This has struck me as highly irregular. I knew it would take roughly 2 months in transit from researching the company, but they are usually prompt about shipment notifications. I contacted them concerned and was met with an excuse that Japan mail “recently” changed their protocol in regard to shipping to Canada. I decided to fact check that. It was not true. Japan Mail had halted all air mail to Canada (and many other countries) since DECEMBER 22, 2021!! AND HAS KEPT THAT VITAL INFORMATION FROM CUSTOMERS! They have been allowing subscriptions to continue or new customers to subscribe unknowingly. That is completely dishonest and should be posted on their FAQ! The customer support person I spoke to, Saru, outright lied and then ignored it when I pointed out the mistruth. December is NOT recent and more than enough time to find shipping alternatives. My daughter wanted this box and I ended the email saying was willing to work with them to find a fair shipping solution, but my requests were ignored. I wish this site allowed screen shots. This company is deceptive and has 3 months to sort out their shipping logistics. If you are waiting for your boxes because “recent” Japan Mail protocol changes, I encourage you you research and check your country on Japan mails website. And please contact your Credit Card company or PayPal BEFORE the dispute timeframe runs out. It is my belief they are trying to that wait out. Learn from my mistake. -Update 1- My refund has not been processed, and my credit card company has been contacted. Your company has had three months to deal with this issue AND HAS DONE NOTHING. Looking at your Twitter, I am not the only person dealing with shipping issues. I will continue to voice my experience and help others there. This is deceptive and despicable. If I hadn’t made an issue on social media and here, nothing would have been done. Nothing has been done. I doubt anything will be done to remedy this situation. Your company has demonstrated that you would rather loose Canadian (and other international) customers versus make this situation right. Our business means NOTHING to your company. Someone DM’ed from the company on Twitter saying ALL Canadian orders were cancelled which was another egregious lie. Would Japan crate like me to send them screen shots? This company’s left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Make a statement on your website saying you cannot ship to certain conuntries until further notice. Refund your all of your customers who are currently on that list, with an apology. Make a statement on your social media accounts. You got caught. This wasn’t an abrupt, recent change. It’s all posted on Japan Post’s website. My (and your customers) patience in this regard has justifiably ran out. I would welcome to be proven wrong and would happily report any attempts made to make this right. I was willing to work with your company from the start. I am very, very sceptical at this point that Japan Crate will do anything to make this right or accept the consequences of their actions. *Update 2* One star remains. The company maintains that this was a sudden change, despite Japan Post’s own website listing that all shipments to Canada stopping since December 21, 2021. They have offered a $10 gift code to their other website sugoimart, where most of the items are well over $50 and the base shipping is $25. It is, at best, a joke. At worst, an insult. They have not taken accountability as they are still lying. They have not reached out to me personally- it was a mass email. I did receive a refund, but I also filed a claim through my bank on Feb 8, so I cannot attribute that to Japan Crate alone, but added pressure from Visa. *Update 3* Japan Crate did reach out personally to me to offer a discount code, if I ever I do want to try their service again. They said that not everyone will approve of how they have handled this situation. It was unclear if they will still ship my daughters box, but that is not an expectation as I have gotten my refund and I understand that, as a company, they need to make a profit. I still firmly believe that Notification should have been given before now and that a choice of a refund should have been offered to everyone. That being said, I recognize this effort and have raised my rating up to 2 stars. I highly doubt I will ever be doing business with company again, even with the discount code. If I hadn’t raised a fuss, nothing would have been done.

Never received it and my account was deleted

Haven't received my January crate yet and we're February 8th. I ordered it in early December. Trying to log back in my account to see what I can do about it but it would not let me log in. I receive a message saying my account does not exist. I want my money back. Also, in summer, I received by mistake two times the same month crate, instead of two different months, so I asked for a refund of one month and they said since I received something I was not eligible for a refund. Very bad customer service.

Never had issues before BUT

I haven't had any issue with Japan crate before, they're usually pretty good at what they do. However, I ordered February's crate on Jan 1, 2022. Have talked with support, they gave me a tracking number but it shows that the label was printed Jan 11, 2022. It's almost the end of the month and I'm losing hope it'll actually arrive for the day I intended to have it by. Update: Japan Crate is looking into the issue. Hopefully I get an estimate of when I should expect the box. Last Update: Given 5 stars, they responded quickly and were very kind during the whole interaction. I do apologize if I have came off as a "Karen" but seeing the few other bad experiences relating to other customers having similar issues did draw concern.

Long wait time and mediocre snacks

It took about a month to just start the shipping process. After losing hope in it ever arriving and asking for a refund, they have decided to ship my package. Not the greatest experience. Regardless, once the snacks arrived, they were pretty decent. Though, some were quite disappointing. I got a bean drink, which wasn't bad but.. do people actually drink that?? I also got some kitkats which are quite disappointing as I would've expected something more japan-oriented and not a worldwide brand. BUT, there was a small snack which was outstanding, those garlic flavoured breadcrumbs are the best thing I have ever tasted. Even though the snacks weren't the worst experience, I will be moving to bokksu, which focus on fast shipping and higher quality more japanese-oriented snacks by what it sounds like. EDIT: They have re-enabled my subscription after I *canceled* it, and even after contacting them about canceling the order, I've learned today that it has arrived. I've had to request data deletion just so this doesn't happen again...

Shady company *STAY AWAY!!*

*2nd update* Well here we are in March, and did we ever get the replacement crate from their comment below? I'll give you two guesses and one doesn't count. NOTHING. NADA. ZILCH. This company is totally a scam and they LIE. Thanks for disappointing my daughter, jerks. *Update: Even shadier, they tried to get my review removed, even though they know it's true. smdh One plus, they did return my money. But guess what, that replacement that supposed already shipped weeks ago? I guess it didn't, because see their response saying they are NOW going to send a replacement on top of refunding (which they just did a couple days ago, well after my review). Seriously. Lies on top of lies. If our package ever arrives I will be shocked, but I will update.** I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but really shady experience. I ordered on 11/17 for my daughter for Christmas. The crate was supposed to be here Christmas Eve, but never shows up. Given the pandemic and all, I understand but then the shipping info also disappeared off the website??? When I reached out, they said it had been delivered. I'm like nah, and show me the delivery info. (Maybe it went to neighbor, wrong address, etc.) They refuse to show delivery info and instead say they'll send a replacement out(Jan 3rd). Okay, I reach out today (Jan 17th), asking where is the tracking info on the replacement shipment. Five emails back and forth where they keep insisting they sent me the tracking info, and I keep informing them they did not. Their email just said they sent the item, no tracking/shipping info. (And yes, I checked triple checked SPAM, etc.) Finally I say, look, if I don't get the tracking info in the next response, I'm cancelling the order and I want a refund. Next reply has tracking number---except it's for the old first shipment, dated 11.20.21! And interesting enough, that tracking number only shows 'label created', never sent anywhere. Still waiting to see if I get my money back. They act polite, but are really just giving you the runaround and wasting your time. :/ Feel bad for my daughter, she's wanted to try this for so long.

Paid for a product not received

I love their crates so I was very surprised to have so much trouble over a simple lost package! I never received my December crate. DHL delivered it to another person’s house and then couldn’t figure out where that house was. When I reached out to DHL they told me it was Japan Crate who needed to refund me as that was their agreement with them. Fine. I reached out to them and was not impressed with how they handled my case. Customer service is painfully slow and unhelpful. Japan Crate said they would not send a replacement but didn’t offer a refund for items not delivered! I had to contact PayPal to ask for a refund! Who charges people money for things they don’t receive? It’s a real shame it had to get so awful when they could have just sent another crate. Update: They did refund the crate which I appreciate. I will give them a second chance in the future.

Have been using this company for a…

Have been using this company for a couple of years now, we have found it excellent value and it allows us to experience some rather unusual flavours, on emonth we had squid jerky, was bizarre but suprisingly tasty - and you will soon find out about Japans obsession with the humble kitkat and find the 100s of alternative flavours they have!

Customer service is a bit slow

Ordered a crate almost a month ago and its still not shipped, contacted customer support but did not get any reply for 4 business days (my spam folder is empty too). Opened another ticket today so hopefully i get a reply this time. Ignoring your customers is not a good look. Edit: My box was just shipped, looks like they had limited flights available but customer service is pretty slow replying to tickets 4/5

I LOVE JAPAN AND DOKI DOKI CRATE!

This company is awesome! The team is absolutely amazing and the products are equally as amazing! Been with this company for years and have not once regretted subscribing! I actually just got the 3 month plan and I know I won't regret it whatsoever! Getting their crates make my life so much better
