Japan crate has so many cool collab, snacks, and even extra gifts I used the buy 1 and get 1 free and got there Japan crate and inku crate and I was extremely happy with the results every crate you get there's always different snacks which I love. Everything about this company is great it's affordable and they have other different crates like a stationary, ramen, and kawaii crate!!!
It’s been nearly 2 months since I ordered and I still haven’t received my box. I’ve only got an email saying a label has been printed and this was on 6th January 2023 with no further updates to now. I made the order on 25th November 2022 for a Christmas present! I had emailed customer support but they basically just mimicked the delayed email they previously sent, with no reference to my enquiry about it arriving in time for Christmas. I just needed to know, to let the recipient know!! After a month of getting nowhere, I even gave a suggestion to their customer support to just send me any box they have in stock but again, the same old reply from them. As other reviewers have highlighted, they took my money on the day I made the order and yet my order is nowhere to be seen!! This is the first and last time I will use Japancrate. There are so many other suppliers out there. I wish I had read the reviews before I made my order. I will not be recommending Japancrate to no-one.
Japan Crate had a promo going on and I got the December crate. I just received it this week. The selection was good. However I noticed the stuff that was marked expires in February or March (it's January). There was a bag of fry shaped chips that tasted kinda stale. That's my only concern- getting old stuff. The soda was actually my favorite item. Not sure the box is worth the asking price of fifty dollars. In my opinion it's fun to try if you can get it for a discounted price. In short - I would order it again for $25 a box. Can't recommend at full price. Plus side is there are items you cannot find at your local Asian grocer. Downside is goods may be near expiration (if that matters to you).
Absolute worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life. Ordered a crate a year ago, never received it. Gave them the benefit of the doubt this Christmas and ordered a crate as a gift and it never arrived, again. Customer service took forever to reply and the reply they gave me was unprofessional. Do not waste your money on this scam
I've placed an order for their november crate on 18th of october and I am still to receive my crate. If I go to tracking link I was provided, I can only see "Shipment information received" on 21st of October, and since then there is no single piece of an update. They couldn't even provide me with an update until I've messaged them and asked more about my package, to which they've said it is due to high demand. I do believe them as they've had collaboration with pretty popular franchise. That being said, nothing justifies package being almost 3 months late. This is one of the worst online shopping experiences I've had and I definitely do not recommend them. There are plenty of alternatives to go to, I know I will. Buy from Japan Crate only if you are fine with getting your package a few months later.
I had some problems with my first crate, since it was packaged very poorly but I contacted customer service and I must say I'm amazed of how good it was. They texted me back the same day, every time I wrote and gave a great and informative service - They also ended up sending me a new crate for free. The man/woman I was talking to was named "Star", who I also give 5/5 stars
Take a look at my other review below, this review has been left five days after suppling them with the information they requested to sort out my crate not been delivered. Still no refund no apology and no one had the decency to contact me in regards to ruining Christmas for my daughter. Most of the five star reviews seem to be from American customers and it’s easy to see they don’t care about their European customers. The only way I can describe this is company is a SCAM. They have taken my money all in one go and still no goods, no apology absolutely worst experience of my life. I will hound these guys on every review website I can find and expose them for what they are SCAM ARTISTS. Don’t buy from these guys
Excellent customer service, very friendly and knowledgeable. Love the products featured in each box and the different promotions they run. Like getting a lucky bag for new year on top of your crate. Extras like that are fantastic surprise!

I signed up on November 23. It's now December 21 and my box still has not shipped. This was to be a Christmas gift, but there's no way it'll get here in time, if it ever does. Customer service is awful. They will ignore your email. They did respond to a chat request after 3 days, but only to say they were running behind and boxes would go out soon, but made no attempts to address my concerns. I filled a claim through PayPal to get my money back, but they won't respond to them either. It looks like I've just lost $50 and won't see anything for it. If you're considering joining, don't. Look at the other reviews. You won't actually receive anything that you pay for. There are several other Japanese themed monthly snack subscriptions available- go with anyone else, I wish I had. EDIT 12/21/22 - Even though they've ignored my emails and paypal complaint, they've responded to this negative review within a few hours, so I guess I got thier attention. They still have yet to offer any meaningful help to resolve this matter. They asked for additional information, which I provided, but the box I paid for still hasn't shipped a month after paying for it. Even if it does it won't arrive in time for Christmas, so this was an utter waste of money. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you want to pay for merchandise you may never receive. If they actually come through with any amicable resolution, I will edit and update this review appropriately, but I'm not holding out much hope for that. UPDATE 12/23: Two days after leaving this review and providing the requested information to Japan Crate, they finally responded to say that my crate shipped, a full month after I paid for it. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that they were having fulfillment issues. I stand by my 1 star review. My experience with the customer service has been nothing but frustrating and awful. The crate is scheduled to arrive well after Christmas, so it ended up being a waste regardless. What a shameful way to operate a business.
First of all, they always, I mean always late 40+ days with crates, that is normal for them. Second, they apparently have a deal with DHL which is probably worst international shipping firm ever, you can easy find they reviews online, everybody hates them. On top of that Japan Crate promote online they service, free box, free shipping and all that stuff which is not. I paid my "free" box 40 bucks, you will not find that kind of information on their site. Stay away.
I paid for a yearly subscription around mid November, it's now almost Christmas and still haven't even received my tracking code. I understand that there has been delays due to the amount of orders, but whenever you try to contact them they don't even reply. You're left in the dark, with no words from them and no updates on your crates / tracking codes despite spending hundreds of pounds
This is a hustle company! Dont buy from Japan Crate! I did an order a month ago, paid it and I have not heard anything from this company! Nothing on shipping or anything. I have written them many mails without getting answers! I am still waiting on my order!
I've had so many problems with japan crate over the past few months to the point I had to open a dispute with my bank to get a refund because you can't get one threw them. Its all very confusing and I don't recomend them. I do recomend Tokyo treat as I had no problems with them apart from us forgetting to cancel the subscription 😅
FINAL EDIT: After a couple of Email back and forth and after missing the deadline to ship a replacement box, I have received my refund. I have to give credit when credit is due, the refund was requested on Monday and I have received it on Wednesday which is fast. Customer support is not bad, the company rules are. EDIT: Oh wow! They are trying to flag my review for ingenuine experience. I will not publicly reply with my Email address here, it is common sense. I have ordered the November box on the October 17th. I have never received any shipping updates. I have contacted Japan Crate numerous times only getting generic template Emails full of lies (I work in customer support, I know a template when I see one) and asking me to be patient. They promissed they have sent the crate but the DHL claims they haven't, they have just made a shipping label. The crate is damn expensive 1/9 of my monthly salary, so I was expecting to get it. TWO MONTHS go by, still no crate. They finally responded to my Email saying they will send a request to resend the box. So I will now have to wait for another two month. Their refund policy is awful makes it impossible to get a refund. They won't refund you, they won't send the crate... I would be fine with them admitting that Persona collab was too big for their shoes and the truth is they are probably out of stock of those special limited edition chips. My question is how will they even sent the replacement box if everything is out of stock? Customers I deal with would have hunt me down if they don't get a refund and COMPENSATION of some sort. I only wanted a refund, the money I paid or the product I paid. Nothing more, nothing less. I feel like I got scammed.
I ordered a Halloween Doki Doki box, I was excited since i've been dying to try this subscription for awhile, well they sent me a treat box instead. Message them quick response they'll resend me my doki doki box, great! Oh it's November's doki doki which was all cheap plastic. Fast forward of back and forth of them saying I ordered Novembers not Octobers, oh i'm right we will send you your Halloween box right away! It is now December, still no box. also the sugiomart they partner with, 75 dollars for shipping! This whole place is a scam, buyer beware!
I ordered the 12 year subscription due to an ad about their lootbox back in October. It came within the time they specified though I was sorely disappointed about the lootbox itself as it did not look anything like the advertisement with full packages, stuffed toys, figures and full sized drinks. The actual Japan crate was good and cute. I was just disappointed that the extra lootbox wasn’t really as advertised as I got a bunch of single items like gum and single kitkats. It also said the longer the subscription the more you would get (150+, emphasis on the plus, items) I got 148 cuz yes I did count. I had a problem with getting in contact with them due to slight problem with adding the lootbox code and luckily after several messages they got back to me to fix it, which I did appreciate. Moving on, I got a notification about my November package and all it said is that it’s packaged and ready to ship in 1-3 business days. That was November 4th. I’ve contacted them via email twice and through their website. It took ages for them to get back to me and I have yet to receive any update as to where my box is. Now it’s December and I’ve gotten another “your crate has been packaged” email and I’m wondering if they just send these out automatically without actually checking if the crate is packaged and ready to go. I don’t even know if this is for December or November. Speaking of which when I check my account, my november package says “fulfilled” and I haven’t gotten anything!! I’m frustrated with the lack of communication, the lack of updates and the lack of quality support that I was expecting from a company like this. I understand it’s the holidays now but what about the last two months where I couldn’t even get a fast response even through the chat option?? Will I have to go through this for an entire year?

I didnt receive my package after few months of payment. Contact customer service didnt reply After trustpilot review only customer service offer a refund for my unsent package. Take quite a long time to respond until i posted a bad review. Please improve on your customer service
