Kia Bolton absolute rubbish

Kia Bolton absolute rubbish. Went in in March 2024 to buy a car but the system was down so promised a call back, and 16 months later it still never happened so I bought it somewhere else, now trying to BUY a service plan and promised a call from the service team, 7 days later still no call. Speak to Kia customer service and they send you to the dealer who never call back. If this is the service they offer when I am trying to buy something imagine how bad it would be if I had an issue. I have had 4 Kia's now and this will be my last one

DM Kieth Kia Leeds.

DM Kieth Kia Leeds. Absolute pleasure from ordering to picking up my new car. Tony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and explained fully how the Motability Scheme works and how it would help me to purchase my new car. He was instrumental in me choosing this route , as it had always worried me in the past. Tony kept me informed regularly regarding when the car would arrive and when the adaptation work would be carried out. The whole experience has been stress free and very straightforward . I love the new Kia Sportage and would highly recommend the Leeds Kia dealership to anyone who wants an excellent buying experience.

I would have given them a 5 star review…

I would have given them a 5 star review except for the fact that one person at the desk let them down . I had a front camera replaced and when the work was don , the bumper was not put on straight . Had words with a certain individual that worked on the desk . After trying to sort out the mess , I finally had a call from the service manager Bobbie ! He sorted it out with flying colours, excellent service ,polite to the point and extremely professional. Hopefully the of his staff will take note of how it should be done . Well done Bobbie. And thank you !

Very poor customer service!

I am incredibly disappointed to have to write this review. I went to the Bolton Kia showroom this afternoon on the look out for a brand new Kia Sportage. The price I was offered for my part ex was £1100 short of what we buy any car would offer. I mentioned that I could get more and he was incredibly rude and said ‘no you won’t they offer the same as us’ I tried to show the quotation but he wasn’t interested, instead he typed all my details in to we buy any car and surprise, surprise it was the value I quoted. His manager intervened and offered the value I had found. I then was quoted £430 per month on a new car without being asked what deposit I would put down, and when I said the price was quite high in comparison to their own website the salesman told me to leave before he walked away from his desk. I spoke with the general manager who apologised and said he would speak with the salesman and he would arrange for the salesman to apologise. The phone call came and the salesman again refused to acknowledge that he had done anything wrong and simply said he was in the right and I shouldn’t be so easily offended and that I should come back in to finalise a deal. I didn’t realise that to sell me a new car Kia’s motto is to offend customers first.

More interested in Terms and conditions than Customer Care

After less than 4 months our Kia Niro Hybrid started flashing all its warning lights. Phoned Kia to get it sorted but they refused to recover the car as they said it was still "driveable".I asked if it was safe to drive with all the warning lights flashing and they assured me it was. Started driving it to our local Kia dealer and it faltered as I pulled out onto a busy main road, nearly causing an accident. Cautiously continued driving but the car cut out altogether in the outside lane of the A11 just 1 mile from the dealership. Car eventually restarted and we left it at the Thetford dealership for repair where we were told no courtesy vehicle available for 2 weeks. Contacted them the next day to be told that it was the electric cooling pump that had failed and that we had to wait 48 hours for Kia to get back to them with a resolution. Didn't hear anything back and when I phoned them I was told that the part was out of stock in the UK and Europe and that it would take 5weeks to get the part on back order. At least the Kia dealer then did arrange a Courtesy rental vehicle for which I had to pay a £50 deposit but all Kia Customer care wanted to do was quote their terms and conditions and tell me that my complaint had been logged on their system for referral. I have still heard nothing from Kia regarding any updates or any explanations as to why the part failed at under 4000 miles and why the part is unavailable in the UK or Europe for 5 weeks! All in all not a pleasant experience and my confidence in Kia has been greatly diminished. From reading other reviews, I can't really say that I'm in the minority. Perhaps Kia will be in touch with me to renew my faith in their product?

Customer interests at heart

Struggling to properly do justice from someone who rarely gives 5 stars but Westfield kia at Braintree surpass expectations and have recently dealt with an issue that presented a number of problems. None of which were unresolved. So much given to customer service that I would buy from here again with absolute confidence that they have the customer at heart. Absolutely faultless service. Thank you very much.

Bolton Kia - AVOID

The customer service at Bolton Kia is appauling AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I put a deposit for a Kia Niro and after driving four hours to pick it up discovered that in fact they secured a different one for me completely different (plug in hubrid not self charging) 3 000 more expensive! When I mentioned it to the sales advisor he just said that we had miscommunicated and gave me a refund ! I said how is this possible I had never even looked at plug in hybrid ads he said well there was miscommunication! When I said well I came all this way might as well look at this car which was the wrong colour, type and price he did not make any effort to show it to me let me go for a test drive on my own did not reduce the price at all even though it was their mistake and I said I would buy it if it was 100 pounds cheaper as I went all the way there to pick it up and the sales advisor just didn’t care we had an 8 hour drive for nothing! Will not be using ever again!!

HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS ON KIA MOTORS.

Had a service plan with KIA, took the car for its regular service was told that the service plane had expired, NEVER got any notice from KIA that the plane was expired got given a service bill of just under £300 this is what they see as providing customer service, no problem with the car but the service provided has now left me thinking that when this year the car is replaced do I go back to KIA or some other dealership, very disappointed. The dealership held at KIA motors Burton on Trent when I questioned this they just said oh right sorry about that.( NOT GOOD ENOUGH.)

Poor customer service

The drivers door seal has perished on my Venga after 35K. It is within the warranty period. Local Kia dealer has refused to repair it under warranty as they consider this to be wear and tear, and compared it to wiper blade wear. Their warranties are covered by a paragraph which says fair wear and tear is excluded from all warranty repairs. This means that they can pick and chose what is an isn't covered. The warrant is not worth the paper it is printed on.

Kia Stockton absolutely useless

Kia Stockton must be the worst motor dealership in the UK. Went in to look at the eNiro electric vehicle. All the salespeople promptly left the building. Not interested in selling a vehicle. Complained to head office, promised on 3 separate occasions that the dealership would contact me. Still waiting, absolutely useless. Chris and his team couldn't be bothered about customers.

Avoid Kia

Avoid Kia. I loved my Kia Venga until it broke down and that's when the problems started. I was driving home when suddenly I felt as though the vehicle was losing power. I was able to turn onto a side road just as the vehicle stopped. It then wouldn't start. I called the AA who couldn't see what the fault was and suggested that I had put petrol into a diesel car - which I most definitely didn't. The car was taken to the Dealership in Bolton. The car is a 2014 reg so still under warranty however they stated that as I had got my services done at Kwik Fit I had invalidated the warranty as they had put the wrong oil in (2 years earlier). I contacted Kwik Fit who were brilliant and paid for further diagnostics to be done to establish the exact problem. In the meantime I was left without a vehicle and had to hire one before I was eventually given a courtesy car. Kia then said there was a problem with the battery and I had to pay £140 for a new one. They continued to say it wasn't a warranty issue and I had to contact the CEO twice before something was done. Kia Bolton demanded I return the courtesy car as they needed it but my car was still not fixed. It took my second e-mail to the CEO to get another courtesy car. By this time my car hand been with Kia for 3 months. After this they had to bring the technical team in from Head office and it was finally established that the issue was with the on board computer. This took a further two weeks to resolve and all in all my vehicle took 4 months to be returned to me. As you can imagine I am not impressed with this extremely poor customer service I have received. As soon as I am in a position to I will be getting rid of my Kia and going back to a trust worthy, reputable company such as Ford.
