Called as raw sewage coming through manhole cover and toilet blocked. Told we have to wait 4-7 days even after explaining we have an unwell relative who needs to use the toilet and flush it, also a young child. When asked what we are supposed to do as cannot flush the toilet told you have to wait 4-7 days! Shocking and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Absolutely diabolical!

Got in touch with Anglian water on 17th Feb to report a blocked drain , they sent a contractor on 19th Feb who was unable to clear the blockage,he claimed that he could not jet the drain due to not being insured,so got back in touch with Anglian water who said very sorry and would highlight the problem and l would be phoned back within 24 hours, no contact after 32 hours,so got back in touch with Anglian water to explain the toilet in the house was blocked with sewage and this is now a health emergency, just got the standard reply that I would be phoned back, later that day at 5.59pm the phone rings and surprise surprise it's Connor from Anglian water claiming the drain would be unblocked on Thursday, nobody turned up and no contact from Anglian water, another call to Anglian water early morning Friday, and again was told that I would be phoned back, another blatant pack of lies.. so I had to pay another Drainage company to do Anglian waters job,the job was done very quickly by Alec the superb Drainage expert sent by his company..

Jack was a disgrace, constantly on his phone and swearing too.

I am pleased to report that Anglian water have rectified the problems with my account,they said there was a fault with the system,all my credit has been returned and my monthly payments have been reduced,I also received an apology from the lady I spoke to who was very plesent and professional , Many thanks Anglian water.

Reported blocked external drain from the kitchen which is stinking. Came out this morning after 2 days. Not really interested in fixing the problem....more interested in passing the buck to the housing association.... Grand Union HG who are even less interested !...their next available slot to "look at it " would be 5 weeks away ! He said it would need water jet and he was not allowed to use his as it was tracked ?#1?? I suspect the real reason it just too much trouble and he couldnt be bothered. I am over 70 yrs of age and despite paying for a service every month it seems it is now my problem ! I am left in the position of having to lift a heavy manhole cover, reach into a sewer and try to fix it myself.

The Parish Council had a blocked ditch which was causing one of the man holes to create a water fountain. Anglia Water came out within 24 hours and unblocked the ditch. Very quick service.

I had a water leak outside my property and received a massive water bill increase. I called and spoke to a lovely lady called Kristen and she not only rectified the automatic bill and direct debit alterations but she respectfully and with tact asked a few questions about our lives and personal situations and, from that put us on a better tariff saving us money!! On top of that, she was a delight to talk to. Best call I’ve made in ages. Thanks Kristen.

Raw sewage coming out of manhole behind our house. They said their SLA was to fix it within 48hrs but it's been 4 days so far and now they're saying it'll be another two days. Have had no communication about any of the delays and had to chase them to find out what's going on.

Despite having a fully functioning water meter, I am being intimidated by Anglian Water who tell me that they will be switching my current, still fairly new and fully operational water meter to a Smart meter. They seem to take great delight in insisting that I have no say in the matter. My account is and has always been kept in credit. In addition to this, I manage and monitor my account most closely. Without fail, I routinely, on the same day of every month, submit my meter reading to them, via their on line account facility, and follow up with a phone call to ensure the meter reads have been applied to my account. Having seen the horror stories in the press and on popular social media platforms about Anglia Water’s smart meter inaccuracies, anomalies and down right poor performance, I am now with dread at the forced smart meter coming my way. Their blatant method and approach in bullying their residential customers needs investigating urgently. I will be going to the Ombudsman.

Anglia Water, so very nice on the telephone but means nothing if they don’t do what they say they will!They don’t read the meter even though it only has to be completed every 6 months. The bill arrives and you have ONE DAY to pay it apparently due to Royal Mail except this is two bills in a row it’s happened! Telephoned AW said they’d extend payment date but didn’t !! Which has affected my credit rating. SHAME ON YOU ANGLIA WATER !!

Ref 63693632 Poor response and communication. Engineer due at 8 a.m arrives at 9 a.m. He was due to indentify the problem but instead just handed me an envelope containing information about leaks. They give you 30 days to fix leaks before legal action yet the can’t manage their own leakage crisis along with pumping litres of human excrement in to our rivers and seas. Shame on you

wouldn't even give them one star toilet blocked had a plumber come in frim homeserve they said our pipe was clear it was the street pipe was blocked said contact east anglia water its there pipes phoned them said they would call back within 48 hrs after 40 hrs they called said they would be here today great waited waited they didn't come phoned said they were due by 6 this was 6.45 they said someone will call tomorrow 🙄 such bad service not a text not a phone call how ignorant says everything about your company

This company does not care about it's customers one iota. In the storms in January we were left with no toilets or drainage for 5 days. When phoning them the agent told me that 'their assets were working' and implied that they did not have to take run off water and but did so as there was no other means for drainage. She blamed the Environment Agency for the flooding and said our situation wasn't a priority. For 5 days we had no choice but to drive to family and/or cafes to use the toilet and wash ourselves. despite many phone calls no support was given. Eventually an engineer called at 20:10 and we were out (having a shower at a friends). A card was left with a smiley face saying they would be in touch!!! They weren't. It was left to me to chase them and I finally got a visit arranged for nearly 4 weeks after the storm!! I rearranged commitments to ensured that I would be at home. They did not turn up! We called an agent who told us we had a job number (linked to the many other calls made about this issue since 2015) and we could view it on line. We can't. No one there cares at all and yet we have no choice in our supplier. There needs to be a way of raising a compliant with them and actually getting action taken. There isn't - all you get is platitudes and no action.

Moved into our new home. The water was full of rust. Ruined grouting and wetwall. I phoned them and was told to claim off our insurance. We did get it off the wetwall but it came back a few months later. Brown rusty stripes running down the wall. I phoned customer service and talked with "water scientist ". She said its anglian waters old rusty pipework. 7 years of complaining about the water. The problem is intermittent. If you leave water in any fabric it dries rusty. Ruined clothes and towels. I've now had the final response, NOTHING is going to be done. No programme to renew pipes and no compensation. Terrible company. What on earth am I paying for?

Be Careful ! Get wery high bill, again so I think 1 person cannot use 650£ of water, Check reading and company changes me 220£ to much !!! Froude from main suplay is getting legal in this country.
