My personal preference is of no relevance, Anglian Water believe they can say and do whatever they want, when they want!
Despite having a fully functioning water meter, I am being intimidated by Anglian Water who tell me that they will be switching my current, still fairly new and fully operational water meter to a Smart meter. They seem to take great delight in insisting that I have no say in the matter. My account is and has always been kept in credit. In addition to this, I manage and monitor my account most closely. Without fail, I routinely, on the same day of every month, submit my meter reading to them, via their on line account facility, and follow up with a phone call to ensure the meter reads have been applied to my account. Having seen the horror stories in the press and on popular social media platforms about Anglia Water’s smart meter inaccuracies, anomalies and down right poor performance, I am now with dread at the forced smart meter coming my way. Their blatant method and approach in bullying their residential customers needs investigating urgently. I will be going to the Ombudsman.
