Don't use them, absolute rubbish.

Tried to buy an eSIM in preparation for a trip to the USA, absolutely useless... partly my fault for misreading the details around the eSIM but I suspect it's not fit for purpose. This is really a 1 star review because the customer service is absolute rubbish. I tried to use their live chat feature 3 separate times (I can't call because I have no functioning eSIM!), AI agent is crap, the "live" agents couldn't see my messages and kept disconnecting the chat and there's also no sound to alert you that anybody has messaged you back - terrible from an accessibility standpoint. They also snuck auto-renewal onto this eSIM which I now can't cancel because the eSIM number doesn't work for login purposes! ARGH! Thankfully £12.50 is a small price to pay to learn never to use Lyca Mobile again. Edit: I can absolutely confirm that in one of the live chat sessions I sent a number of messages which apparently weren't seen or received on the agent's end. A representative from Lyca Mobile has since emailed me to try and follow up on this. As much as I appreciate that, it's come too late - this has been a total headache. I've finally managed to cancel the auto-renewal and now I'd like to wash my hands of the whole thing. They've also tried to take this review down. Classy!

Absolutely unacceptable customer service – no response for termination request

I have been trying to terminate my Lycamobile pay-monthly service since 1 April 2025, and despite providing all the requested information multiple times, I still have not received a proper response or confirmation. I emailed their support team on 7 April with all the details they asked for (proof of identity, billing address, last payment, etc.), but after more than a week and several follow-up emails, no one has replied. This is completely unprofessional, especially when they insist on a 30-day notice period. How can the notice period even begin if they ignore customer emails? I’ve now had to escalate the issue and consider contacting the ombudsman. Lycamobile’s handling of this situation is frustrating, disrespectful, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value your time and sanity.

Too slow internet!!

Reasonable price, but the internet is unbelievably slow—even on 4G! I live in Stratford and still can’t get a stable connection. Totally dissatisfied!! I won’t be using this SIM anymore. Lebara was way better. In the first month, it worked fine, but now it can’t even load a single Chrome tab. The funniest part? I’m writing this review using Lyca and had to reload and rewrite it 5 times because of the terrible connection. Boycott Lycamobile! Never again.

Rubbish

I took a 2 year contract and realise that I made a mistake. Used my 14 days cooling period and cancelled contract on the 17/3/24. I keep getting a payment request of £5.45. Which I paid. I keep calling Lyca mobile on 322. None of their staff understood me. I spoke with Paul. Then spoke with John. Then spoke with another, whose name I’ve forgotten. I’ve spent the whole day trying to get them to cancel my account, which I have previously already done anyway. They keep transferring me to cancellation department. And keep cutting me off. I spent 10 hours on their help number. And what a waste of time. I’ve already cancelled my mobile account on the 17/3/24 within my cooling period and happy to have done so.

avoid at all costs

avoid at all costs, got cut off after 3 weeks when i called they told my phone (unlocked) was faulty!! would not help went on to cancel my monthly contract to give notice but advisor never did this called again various times to complain and cancel total nightmare and still charged me for a service i was not using AVOID LYCA MOBILE

Non-existent customer service

Having very serious issues. Human agent never joins online chat, after days of trying; phone lines take nearly an hour to answer then direct me to an email address. Emails still not answered after a week.
